New Sliding Bench Training "Skeleton" Program that is meant to be a foundation for a Total Gym (or other SBT). After three years of using these machines, I wanted to make a go-to base template that is relatively simple, straightforward, and is customizable at the same time. This can be a stand-alone program or is versatile enough to add in other modes of training.

body split covers alot,its quick affective,days off so its good recovery, yeah mike ive also found reps are better at a faster pace compared to back,legs etc.man shoulder press from the botton angle is my favorite because the extenion overload the delts just right,single leg squats isolate the quads real nice,seated press is ticket,adding weight ,bands incline,love it!this machine just keep getting better,thanks to u mike ✌️

I like doing one set with rest pause and one drop set. 👍💪

I had a personal trainer who defined failure as the moment form breaks down where a rep doesn't look as good as the previous rep.

Definitely agree the variable resistance on my bowflex is easier than the total gym loaded with weights.

Yes I have total gym and bowflex

@@mikeervin7654 If you could only have one, which would you keep and why? It was close but I decided on a Total Gym after looking into both extensively, though I had never tried either one unfortunately. I really liked the small footprint (though I know some Bowflex models have benches that fold up), easy storage, and ease of transitions between exercises. I could make them both work but space is limited in my bedroom.

Thanks for another good video. Question: Why do you recommend doing the weights first and cardio last?
@hybridresistance
@hybridresistance Год назад
Thanks William. It's always traditionally been recommended to do resistance training first because of energy demands. You can get deep in this explanation with explaining the various energy systems and their substrates, but basically by doing cardio first you use up valuable substrates (namely creatine phosphate / glycogen) that is utilized during resistance training. So doing cardio first, it reduces the energy available to push your muscles. If you did resistance training first that would also conflict a bit with your cardio potential during a workout, but it's a more minimal degree. At the end of the day though if you're not that concerned with your resistance training goals and just prefer doing cardio first, that's fine, just know it limits your strength / muscle gain potential. There's also degrees of this as well when we get into how much cardio you're doing before or after.

Was trying to see how you attach the resistance bands. I have the TGF and it doesnt appear to have anywhere towards the headrest area to hang a band on

This video shows what I do ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_5HtMUv8MSc.html but as I always say, use it at your own risk. As these machines really aren't made for it. I heard TG is against using bands for some strange reason.

I do, but it's definitely pricey. I did a trade to get mine, otherwise I can't say I'd pay he 4k

Is it true that you can use Total Gym to bulk all over by simply adding weight plates on its' bar ? So that I won't need any other much difficult, struggling, and dangerous workout bench or multi-gym in order to do so?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 It'll truly save me plenty of gas, cash, and time besides local, public gyms.
@hybridresistance
@hybridresistance 11 месяцев назад
I think there's more that goes into the "bulk" than just heavy weight such as being in diet surplus, consistency, and just overall progressive stress to your muscles. So I wouldn't say it just as easy as adding weights to the bar, but it certainly can help.

if you take a few seconds rest and then can do 15 or 20 more reps, it isn't failure. With the legs, at some point you need to regret the day your parents met. That is failure.
