Essentially making it so if you camp and play the game like a giant dick head, that it would be impossible to save or beat that killer. No bro it’s the second chance perks that are broken! I swear killer mains like you don’t have 3 and half brain cells to work with when y’all type some of this stupid shit

To be fair. If Dwight didn't run unto Otz to attempt to save Kate, they were still in a great spot. This isn't a diss to Otz, as knowing how to capitalize on survivors mistakes helps you win, but it's not a super impressive move that I would call "beast"

@@icerago9848 Oh absolutely. However, Dwight's action could be accomplished with no perks or the best. And if there is no Dead hard or unbreakable, they might have done the similiar play except having sprint burst and Deli. They played to perks.

What sucks is one of the best killer players ever has to tunnel and hope he can camp basement to win in this game with the mascot killer.

With all respect to Otz but at this point I feel like I’m a better Trapper than him, idk why he gets greedy lately, I saw literally every mistake he made in 3 minutes. Just watch his last streams, he loses badly when he tries to down as many survivors as possible. If there’s any hardcore Otz fans pls tell him to hook whenever he can hook.

Thats why I only watch the game, goodbye forever Dead by Salt.

@@erwinsmith3198 i guess he started doing it for content, to have more chances of creating clips for his weekly compilation, and i guess he also does this because he can already tell that at his MMR, he's not gonna win if he doesn't have strong perks, so maybe that's why he chose such weak perks together, to lose, lower his MMR, so then he can actually win. But that's just a theory, an OTZ THEORY lol btw I'm not trash talking, I'm a fan since 2019 (• ▽ •;)

He was playing one of the worst killers with no add ons and essentially perkless. What did you expect to happen?

altruism is a dangerous game to play Sometimes i wanna help my teammates by being altruistic but there's always a chance the killer will just get me AND the teammate :P But sometimes it's just sad when you wanna play a fun match and the killer is already tunneling right at the beginning, you want everyone to play the match so you try to save them and stuff. that's why i wish there was an unranked mode, so players who just wanna have fun can play with other players that have the same goal.

Defo think otz would've won if he camped the girl on the hill way closer. Imo that was just as good of an option as the basement camp.

Consider that the survivors still lost despite playing pretty well and Otz was playing without addons and with only 3/4 perks, only 2 of which have any use, and neither of them are meta killer perks.

@@Zakon673 Did they though? Aside from occasionally showing understanding of the base gameplay loop and having the strongest survivor perks on they nearly lost the game against a Trapper in the first minute. If they are decent they played extremely reckless.

@@Zakon673 they made alot of risky plays and fumbled alot of loops while otz played nearly perfectly. Otz playing nearly perfectly while the survivors played unoptimally yet was a close games speaks volumes on perks. Though i don't think its necessarily bad, the unbreakables and bt plays were fair but i felt the dead hards is what made the game ridiculous.

@@oscarlaud470 That's not really a perk problem. Keep in mind that when survivors mess up, they have three teammates who can help them recover. With Killers, if they make a mistake, there is no one else to pick up the slack. The pros and cons of a 1v4 game.

They said recently they're reworking all of the top used meta perks soon, so no they're not like that.

Yeah...Honestly I feel like if you use perks like DS/DH, you're bad at the game. Survivor is already very easy to win without any perks and just using those meta perks it's a "overkill"...

Y'all are complaining about second chance perks when Otz still won with a 4k on a weaker killer while using no add-ons and basically no perks. Sure, Otz is a lot more skilled than the average killer, but the average killer also tends to play better characters with 4 meta perks and 2 strong or even OP add-ons. Those second chance perks are necessary to counter some of the BS that killers can bring to a match.

@@BwanaLasPelotas Totally agree. Relying on crutch perks to help you out of bad plays every time makes you a worse survivor overall. Instead of learning how to do optimal pathing, mind games and pallet efficiency just press E to win.

Same, I’m guessing he just assumed it was the injured Dwight changing his mind and running out of the basement but I would check just in case as well. When everyone is near basement and someone is hooked there it is worth being paranoid

Yeah, honestly, I thought the same thing "wait, are those basement scratch marks? I would have dropped chase to go check." But I thought "well obviously Otz knows better, he must have seen someone run past it instead of going down" and then the unhook happens seconds later. That said, even if he had dropped chase, I don't know if it would have changed the outcome. He got back up to the top of the stairs before they got out, which is (as far as I know) the second best thing to being down there to hit them by the time they start unhooking to guarantee a trade. And I can't tell if he would have been down there fast enough.

The only way you can win as any side is if the other side makes mistakes though. That's the reason people lose, because mistakes are made, and everyone makes them. If both sides were equally skilled and made absolutely 0 mistakes, eventually, depending on the amount of loops, one side would win regardless due to amount of pallets vs time it took them to complete gens. If the amount of loops = the time the gens take, then the killer would win because there'd be nothing left for survivors to use. If there were more pallets/loops that took more time than it took to complete gens, the survivors would win.

@Gloryclover And I love a good bitchy reply that also adds nothing to the conversation. However, I think Jon P is right. Otz made mistakes in this match which allowed the survivors to recover. They then lost because they made more mistakes. That's how competitions go, usually you win because you can capitalize on someone else's mistakes. Had Otz had better perks, maybe he wouldn't have had so much trouble. I won't deny that the survivor meta perks are strong, especially in the right hands, but so are the killer meta perks. The final thing to remember is that you can commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness, that is life.

@Gloryclover Otz himself has stated that the game is basically balanced, but it's balanced around who brings the strongest stuff. I'm not sure what you're complaining about either, considering Otz did not bring anything powerful and was facing powerful things that you complain about, and still won. The game is mostly won by who makes the most mistakes. That is how every PVP game is based on. If everyone plays perfectly it will be based on the number of pallets you can use vs the time the gens take, which is pretty much a random mechanic. Capitalizing on mistakes is how you win in any PVP game, so to claim that is a "balance problem" is silly. How many mistakes someone makes is what SKILL is. Unless you are stating that survivor skill should never be taken into account for a killer "winning", in which case that's an extremely delusional thought process, you're basically saying that player skill is not how the game should be balanced. I don't think I did any of the things you stated, but be mad if you want.

Thats really clever, and maybe characters can have a discount for their own perks. Being more predictable for the killer and bringing perk variety and some new builds for survivors.

Otz has spoken on this concept in the past. He doesn’t like it. Because it would lead to a nonstop, never ending debate of players saying “X perk shouldn’t be 4 points” or “they need to make Y perk 2 points” or “why is Z perk 5 points, it’s not that good”. Plus, it wouldn’t stop the fact that there would still be a “most optimal build” for survivors and killers.

That describes about 75% of survivor perks. Another 20% are awful, and 5% are very very good.

Play all killers with all perks, not a single perk can be repeated all of them need to be spread with all killers. That is why this trapper has no so great ones, Otz already used the better ones.

Otz is attempting to use all killer perks and all killers and win all matches consecutively without losing.

So whispers answers one question at all times "is there a survivor within 32m of you?" Thats all it does, hearing the whispers mean yes, someone is within 32m, if you hear nothing, then no. Hooked & downed survivors also count. It's mostly good for the very beginning & end of the match, & makes sure you are chasing your own tail in a area. Hope this helps

They only ever use whispers for Trapper (setting traps) and slow killers yet loud killers like Huntress and arguably Nurse since stealth is good against them

Nope makes him use his dh then immediately picks up when he’s out of flashlight range. But the claud gets rewarded for their teams mistake via unbreakable.

@@brimp4989 That's not quite correct. She's not rewarded with Unbreakable, she gets another chance. Rewarded would put her/the team in a better position than they started in before the save on Dwight, which they are not.

@@irregularassassin6380 they were rewarded by not having 2 in basement against a trapper. All because a perk that has no earning requirement. And if people want to say “noed rewards the killer for playing badly” then I’m gonna say the same exact thing about unbreakable.

@@brimp4989 The counter-argument is that they wouldn't have had two in a basement against a trapper had they played the situation smarter and not bum-rushed in there. The perk has no earning requirement because it can only be used once, and only if the killer gambles on leaving a slug. NOED also has no earning requirement, but it can be removed (a very good thing). However, it does reward playing badly because it greatly increases the effectiveness of the killer. Unbreakable returns a survivor to the position they were in before, NOED improves the killer's position. That's the key difference.

I don't think he gets much benefits from it besides free bp, shards and auric cells. His feedback is also prioritized compared to normal players but I think that's pretty much it. I could be wrong though

@@irregularassassin6380: when Otz was about to knock down Dwight and he Dead Harded. There would have been 3 people down and by the time Otz got to the basement, he’d be there for the unbreakable play.

@@shadowspector3611 I see, thank you. Everything can really hinge on one moment in this game. I've been the guy who makes the wrong play and puts the team into a death-spiral many times. Hard to see the opposite, though, as a Survivor.

Won’t be very useful in maps without grass like the game.. better idea, let traps copy the general colour of the ground underneath it so you can easily blend them. So the colour would change depending on the map, you will still be able to see them because of lightning and shadowing and also make it use the general of the floor doesn’t make it as transparent and not so broken

@@JazzaLv99 Better idea, make that an add on. Maybe like an ultra rare “Glowing dye” or some entity stuff and it blends with the map.

@@greedo2009 IMO it sounds too good to be base kit. After all as it stands the current traps are already relatively dark. I’m just happy that we don’t have the old traps, which were pretty much just white. As it stands, running it as an add on would be helpful because not only is it just good, it helps if you for whatever reason get sent to The Game, or Lery’s.
