Hope you enjoy your truck, as a Big Rock owner and a very sucky driver (getting back into it after 7+ years), I've hit from nearly every possible angle and nothing has broken yet. This includes a tree hit at about 35-40 MPH, where the ESC plug broke a solder joint (switched to deans), partly my rusty soldering skills, but there was a chunk of wood removed from the tree
@@TheRCNetwork, yeah these trucks are tough, Mine is the longer wheelbase onw, chose it to control the power better, same Power system, except using the Arrma 3s version esc
Yeah, early on, I broke a TON of RC's there....mostly from not knowing how to land/drive. I still don't know how, but seem to skirt around breakages more now
do these trucks have shaft upgrades at all? seems like the plastic ones are pretty strong. im just curious to know if there are any upgrades for it? especially the center.
there are upgrades out there...but I wouldn't trust the upgrade companies though....I think the stock would be a better upgrade than those. I didn't see anything for the center
Great video once again. I own an XMaxx but I’m looking into an ARRMA Big Rock to keep in my work truck. Now I’m wondering if I should order this. So which would you choose?
Nope, it didn't. It's crazy - just a few years ago, any RC doing that would have been destroyed. Only damage I had was a bit to the body...the front shock towers punched through the body a bit
It's good to know nothing broke after all the bashing. I should get one soon. Just wondering why those who complained about the losi lasernut not being durable arent making a video on the vortex.. #rcpolitics.
Oh, gosh, no......These are plastic chassis'd plastic drive trained trucks...plus the weight penalty of that system.....If you want a 6S Arrma that's similar, look at the Typhon or the Talion - they're the closest ATM
how do you bind the vortex 4x4 the new one I don't know how I ran it when I first got it with a little bit of battery power I had until my battery charger came I pushed the set button by accident and now it won't work at all what do I do someone please tell me what the f*** do I do?
Hey John, I hung up my RC hat back in August 2021 - After nearly 10 years on RU-vid showcasing RC products with well over 1,000 videos, my time was done. I ended up selling off nearly my entire collection and went back to my first hobby - Mountain Biking. I've made both an MTB channel and a Toyota Tacoma channel if you want to keep up with me (They're highlighted at the top of my channel). I only make videos now when I want to though. RC started as a new hobby in 2010, but it grew into a second job very quickly once I turned the cameras on in 2012.
@@TheRCNetwork Well good for you! You sound happy and that's the name of the game I think. I'll definitely check your new channels out. Please look out for an email from fpmc**** in a day or two if you don't mind. I have a question for you. Talk to you soon.
I use copyright free music as a way to cover up any talking done by people in the video. Also, I can't please everyone...but thanks for at least "watching"
@@TheRCNetwork Yep. Some have suggested its something to do with Spektrum, and declaring it the 'Spektrum Tax'. I dont really understand it but when you consider I paid £310 for a V2 granite (expensive enough) and now Arrma want near £400 for this, its beyond a joke!
@@TheRCNetwork I know. Just looking in to it, and if I imported a 6s Kraton from the US with a battery and 70usd shipping, it would still be cheaper than buying one over here WITHOUT a battery. I might just bite the bullet ago for it.
