Finally a tutorial for beginners, that does what it says on the box. This is the only tutorial I've seen so far that explains Fusion clearly, in a way that beginners can understand. Thank you Casey, that's great work, clean, simple and very well explained indeed. You're the best.
Fusion was something I was avoiding using if I could, but this made it all so clear and a less frightening tab to visit. Plus the show I was just one wanted something interesting doing with an archive photo of a steamer boat. The steam from the coffee cup skill when straight to making smoke come out of the boats funnels. Client loved it! Fantastic range of tutorials that have been my most shared with fellow editors as my top pick. Thank you!
Just wanted to thank you for this - jumping over from After Effects so having to learn nodes from scratch but you're making it clear, straightforward, and entertaining - you're fantastic at what you do.
This video totally changed my view of editing. This was the best video about editing I have seen in a long time. hope that he continues posting awesome videos.
Hi Casey, I've been watching many of your videos over just the last month, or so, and wanted to say thank you! I went from zero editing experience to editing, and adding fusion compositions. Basic stuff, but man, the first time I masked an image to isolate a portion of it, ran it through a transform, and then used another mask on the merge, to make the image pop out from behind a mountain... It just felt great. Please keep up your great work. Enjoying the podcast as well!
15 minutes in and immediately like. This was way more helpful than other tutorials I followed. The clear explanation and going through it step by step really helped! Thank you for breaking it down into easy to follow, step by step instructions.
I can't believe how good this tutorial is. I knew very little about the Fusion tab in Resolve, but now I feel I can actually play around with it and have an idea of what I'm doing. Thank you, you've earned another sub who will be checking out more of your tutorials.
all the different elents together in a language that is universal. I've seen plenty of DAW tutorials being new, but tNice tutorials is by far the best so
This tutorial has inspired me to finally stop using the Adobe Creative Cloud apps, I was afraid of leaving premiere cause I would have to leave After Effects, and though im sure I'll struggle at first, I'm sure learning Fusion will be more rewarding in the long run. Thank you for this awesome content.
@@CaseyFaris If i want to get a job in the industry shouldn't iuse AE and Premier Pro? i never see Dav Vinci or Fusion in job listings- Nuke is the only other compositin software I see and screw that price lol.
The industry is changing. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's not about the tool you use it's the concepts you can understand and execute. @@kangtheconqueror8359
there are tutorials that dilute information, others that concentrate it by skipping steps, taking essential elements for granted. Yours is the perfect balance. You put yourself in the shoes of the listener and not only make complex content simple, but also expose it in an interesting and engaging way. The other tutorials just explain how to do it, while yours give us models to reason on our own. Best teacher ever. Thank you !! PS It would be great if you also studied other subjects such as physics ... : P
I am a very new beginner at 58 and i subscribed to your channel a little while ago - your tutorials are top notch - still trying to take all of this in but amazingly helpful - thanks
I'm new to DaVinci Resolve and was very confused about Fusion and Nodes. I have been trying to learn about them from a complete novice point of view. This tutorial was the best explanation I have come across. Well Done. Thanks.
TNice tutorials is by far the best soft soft basic tutorial, I rember when I just started learning, tNice tutorials was so helpful!! I’ve now been releasing edm
finally I get a teacher that can teach for a student not for the teacher if you know what I mean mostly beginners are looking for a tutorials and most of them are so completed to understand then it already is it thank you bro hoping we will get more tut out of you
This visually confirms for me why I like nodes. It reminds me of the how the brain works i.e. neural networks linking brain regions, electric circuit. Thank you for bringing that vision to life with the great teaching 🙏
Your teaching style works for me. "Look at all the magic things we can do!" Hahaha I didn't expect to be chuckling during a Resolve tutorial. Plus now I have more skills. Sub earned! Thank you.
Thank you so much!! I can manage my way from here. But I was clueless about the planar track ( I know how to use one, I just didn't know where to look for one here in Resolve). Amazing video. Fantastic explanation.
This is EXACTLY the video I was looking for and needed. I've seen a lot of other tutorials on how to make effect "X" happen, but when they jump into this page/tab, I'm always at a loss as to just what the hell it is and what the hell everything they're showing me means! As someone who is used to working with Visual Studio and creating SSIS packages, the functionality of this page actually makes sense to me!
A must look for anybody trying to grasp fusion specially if you come from layer based programs Easy and straight to the point It does not get better than this Thanks
what an awesome intro to fusion. This makes wanna buy your RU-vid course (and maybe the vfx course(s) after that). You have a very good way to explain and I love the speed (not too slow, not too fast).
Thanks! I learned a lot of Adobe Software last year but can't afford to keep that software so Resolve being a one time purchase is perfect for me. And now I even know how animation works in Resolve!
most RU-vid tutorials move waaaayyy to quickly. Nice pacing and thank you for not assuming that I know anything about this. Your description of each item and how it fits into the other items really helped my neurons make the first few connections. Much appreciated!
I am back watching this tutorial for a second time. There is too much information in this video to really absorb in just one viewing. After watching a number of your other videos, this video is now more comprehensible. I will be watching it again several more times after watching more of your videos. Each time I will better fully understand and follow all that you did. Your videos are really great. I am learning so much. A Big THANKS.
Man! Your videos are the most easiest (and entertaining) to watch. I've been searching for easy to follow tutorials using Davinci Resolve 16 and you my man are it! Thank you for sharing. New Subscriber here!
Thank you Casey! I was having some troubles understanding Fusion, but you just made it easier (as a guitar player I was thinking of it as if you were building a pedalboard, you have to think the order of everything and how it affects the final sound)
I’ve always struggled with After Effects. Now I think it’s because my brain might work better with DaVinci. Thank you and great tutorial. Easy to unterstand :)
Maybe it's me but this came at just the right time to answer my questions about Fusion. The explanations are clear without being oversimplified and the pace is excellent.
It is such a pleasure listening to someone experienced and confident enough to explain a complicated matter in simple terms. Thank you for actually teaching people something instead of just satisfying your ego.
WOW.....This is one of the best tutorials in understanding on how fusion works and what it does. I look forward to viewing and learning more about how to work with DVR. Thanks.... BTW, I just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you so much for this fundamental tutorial, this is the 1st time I watch through a full clip of davinci tutorial without skipping any part. I like your sense of humor, and of course learned a lot. Great job and keep it up!
This video helped me understand the intimidating fusion tab that I've avoided for so long. Turns out it can do a lot more than I expected. Thanks for the succinct tutorial!
Davinci Resolve and Fusion is fast becoming my editor of choice over Final Cut Pro X and Motion. The latest version 17 rocks so looks like I will upgrade to studio very soon.
Cool video and thanks for sharing this. I've honestly never used fusion before. It kinds of baffles me so this was a great help. All of our videos have been edited on Davinci Resolve. Such a great video editor. Keep safe folks.
I'm at University and so time is a challenge when editing, I downloaded DaVinci Resolve but the fusion tab scared the shit out of me (as I'm used to Adobe Suite) but after seeing this, I'm going to definitely use Resolve as my main editing software as it seems to do nearly everything. Thanks for the video, it explained everything perfectly!
I really appreciate you explaining the difference between AE (or other layer-based workflows) and Fusion. I know as I've tried to learn DR independently that I've often gone with the AE way instead of the Davinci way. Great stuff, you've got a new sub.
Thank you so much for this basic tutorial. I wanted to create an outro for my channel and was struggling with Fusion. But now i feel a lot more confident to create it on my own.
