Hey Gil, Thanks for the shout out, I missed it live as I had to get the kids sorted for school. It is indeed my first time on the livestream but I've watched most, if not all of your videos. I'm new to the world of lasers. I have a K40 that I have modified slightly, well when I say slightly, it still has the original tube, Y axis and power supply. I also have a diode machine that I have built but I'm doing some rework on that.

I'd like to watch the live stream but tooooo early. Just dusted off my K40 and kitted it out with a gerbil3 and camera using lightburn. It's now a different machine worth playing with.

I gave my 1st k40 to a mate as I wasn't using it. He had it in the garden shed and was doing some lasering and went in to make a cup of tea. When he came out his shed had already burnt half down. Lesson learned this end...Never run a laser unattended.

It's not too bad at the moment, only 9hr time difference but come BST it'll be a different story, 11hr difference

Almost the same exact thing happened to a friend of mine here in Melbourne. Less than 5 minutes into a job, and he came back to find the laser alight and part of his garage burning!!! Huge lesson... Hopefully these discussions will being the issue to the forefront for laser users! Thanks for sharing! 🙏
