Well done! Eric, thanks to your tutorial and link to the Autodesk website, finally my perfume bottle has liquid inside! :-) So far, I've spent a lot of unnecessary time solving this "puzzle" in Fusion 360. Many thanks !!! Regards

Brilliant! You have no idea how many hours of trial and error and frustration you've saved me over the past year. I hope you could consider more in-depth "masterclass" type content perhaps for Patreon. I would definitely jump on that in a flash.

@@EricStrebel Very similar to what you already do! But in a bit more detail and hopefully oriented towards smaller teams/people who design, build and market their own products at home or in a small business setting. For example, my wife and make and sell IoT homeware as a small side business (lamps, wireless home speakers and other "smart" furnishings). But both of us come from more of an IT and electronics background and we constantly find ourselves lacking in knowledge in terms of finishing and material science (basically just when to use which type of materials for aesthetic and functional purposes). So materials, finishing and small to medium batch manufacturing content would be very valuable for us and for a lot of other people I think.

@@EricStrebel Maybe more industrial design related things. Many places do boring ass engineering stuff. I want to see a mouse, speedforms, organic shapes. Maybe an iphone, apple watch, a vape (the bigger two battery kinds). A blender perhaps.

Instagram likes square images because the users are on their phones, with vertical screens. Landscape (wide) images get sized way down when looking at them on a vertical screen. Square images, while annoying, have the advantage of scaling/sizing well on all screens. :)

Awesomw job and great tutorial. I hope that things change in the future so it I can use the knowledge. I feel for you with the crashes. So much promise. So little support. For a variety of reasons (crashes, performance), I have used Fusion as little as practicable, but have been using it for five years or so when I had to. Solidworks is my preference, but AutoCad and Inventor are the day-to-day and what we have had the license for. Inventor and AutoCad are solid, and we get a lot of work from clients produced using AutoCad. Fusion, on the other hand.... The worst part is that I have been using Eagle for better than 20 years for the electronics side, and now it is rolled in to Fusion (mandatory), and after several weeks of *expletive deleted*, we are moving on. Spending the money to migrate everything to another platform (roughly 20 seats). On this, Autodesk found the pooch drunk at a frat party, alone and untended, if you get what I am saying. If the customer (software licensee) can't make money, they can't pay the license. And reliable tools are key to making money.

Nice Eric - thanks for sharing the liquid settings was something I had no idea about also the curved background is something I haven’t tried. Do you add your own light sources? I have had good luck with that.
@EricStrebel
@EricStrebel 4 года назад
Great, no additional light sources, all the lighting info is baked into the HDRI

Great video, I learned a lot. I have been trying the render a thermoformed clear PET tray and am struggling to get the material to look right. Glass is the closest but still not right. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!
@EricStrebel
@EricStrebel 4 года назад
Start with glass and then reduce the transmission, rate and then adjust index of refraction, good luck

Thanks Eric! but what is the material from the backwall?? it look so shine..
@EricStrebel
@EricStrebel 4 года назад
Probably just the standard material is something you’ll have to mess around with to get the right look and feel you want, but it has much more to do with the environment that you choose
