Thank you so much, iam an absolute novice drone pilot, i didnt even know how to switch it on and off. Watching your video as learnt me so much. Thank you.
Thank you Khalid. As a first time drone pilot I found your video helpful. It's odd that I would be flying a monster like this as my first drone, but I just passed my Part 107 and the boss wanted to buy the best drone available under $2,500. The depth of your tutorial on the controller will save me several hours trying to figure it out by myself.
You have watched a very informative tutorial on assembling and setting up the DJI MAVIC 2 PRO 2 Smart Controller Prop. Thank you for sharing good information.
As a newbie who has all the gear and no idea then this is massive on the controller. As ever, if you combine this video with start up videos for things like calibration and set up then it is very useful. As a guide for the smart controller - bookmarked and will be referred to much. Thank You... Not putting the propellers on was a great tip too (in the comments)
I appreciate that you made this video, however if a first timer is following this from scratch, from unboxing, they absolutely should NIOT put the propellors on before they go through the drone and controller setting and firmware updates. They should do all the setup and not put the props on until they are ready to fly for the first time.
The first thing you should be doing is reading all the supplied manuals and understand the basics of all components do not put propellers on in the house as a new pilot.
He should also get a little more familiarize with the wording and explanation, 1-return home! Drone will return to where it was calibrated at last position.2- learning what sonar sensors are in bottom of drone and there are no sensors on lights as he explained, 3- drone works as well with the original controller. Much much more. Nevertheless ok video for a new user.
Pretty Good Tutorial. Can you tell me, have you ever used yours for Tripod shooting say a band or something, for live view? Can this be set on a tripod with propellers off?
Yes you can shoot with the propellers OFF, however this will not record sound, so you have to have a separate sound recorder for that. In addition to that since this has a very powerful processor inside the internal cooling fan will continuously run so the battery will still drain in less than an hour.
High great video, question: does the controller has a audible sound when the controller battery gets low?? And or are the 4 lights at the front the only way to tell controller battery state. I ask this as my controller turned off the other day without me knowing with low battery
Yes the controller has several alarm settings that can be turn ON/OFF for the following events: 1. Low battery on the Drone 2. Low battery on the Controller 3. Obstacle near the drone 4. Entering Restricted Air Space 5. Loss of Satellite Signals on the Drone, and more.

@@georgiegirl2001 Maybe you have the older firmware in your Remote Controller, you should update it because they fixed a lot of bugs and errors in the newest firmware.
Correction - You sid the faa lets you fly to 400 meters. It is 400 FEET! without a waiver. There is more to that as well. If you are up the side of a sky scrape, you can't get more than 400 feet out from it. If you are on top of a mountain and fly out, your altitude is calculated from below the drone. You can't fly out and think 400 feet above you, it is AGL Above Ground Level. The extras are for the beginner that doesn't yet have a part 107. And Epstein didn't kill himself.
Thanks for the info. after I posted this video I joined Pilot Institute to get ready for the Part 107 Exam. So I learned much more than I knew then. I know Epstein was murdered, lol
The round dial on the top can be programmed to control the camera pointing up or down. You can use either one of the two dials depending if you are right handed or left handed. However you need to go to settings to assign functionality to each one. Including the buttons on the back or the remote.
Hello I have recently purchased the new mavic air 2 I believe the smart controller works with this drone will it work on my mavic platinum as well. Thank you Irvine
Greetings sir, although I haven't tried it myself to give you a confirmed answer, I believe it will not work. The Mavic Platinum is much older model with much older transmission technology. The new Smart Remote uses a much more advanced technology which gives you a crystal clear image at 1080P for up to 4+ miles. So it could be reverse compatible but I am not sure.
sir nice vid really but disappointed cause u didn't show properly flying...i saw many GHATIA GUYS DIRTY tutorials who are LALU PANJU but honestly u r one who can teach us properly so plsssss guide properly that how we can fly drone i just get brand new DJI 2S WITH SMART CONTROL but so i need urs guidence

I’m sure someone clarified for you, it’s called a gimbal and it stabilizes the camera in it😂😂😂😂😂 …Note to any newbie’s if you going to use the return home function, make sure drone is calibrated to where you took off from, otherwise it will attempt to return to the last location you calibrated it to. Just food for thought. Thanks for the video.
What about the right wheel on the remote? The left moves the camera up and down, but I can't get the right wheel to do anything, as zoom in or out. And this is with the mavic pro 2
Yes the normal Mavic 2 Pro does not have the zoom feature, but the Mavic 2 Zoom which is a different drone does have that feature. You can also install the Zoom Camera on the regular Mavic 2 Pro
I have WIFI issues. It connects to wifi then I leave that screen it says disconnected. I must have set it up wrong. I did not see wifi set-up. Do you cover things like that? -Ron
That sounds familiar, it happened to me and after I restarted my router the problem was fixed, so try that and see what happens. Also try switching between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz because the 2.4Ghz although it's is slower it reaches much further away from the router.
You will find zooming info on the page 17 of this manual dl.djicdn.com/downloads/smart+controller/20190110-2/DJI_Smart_Controller_User_Manual_EN_V1.0_0110.pdf
Yes the controller shows two distance measures, One the shows the drones horizontal distance form the home point, the other shows drones vertical distance from the home point. For example if your drone took off and raised to 10 feet then you simply moved it horizontally to 1000 feet but didn't increase the drone's elevation. Your vertical measure will still be 10 feet but your horizontal measure says 1000 feet.
The gimbal guard is to keep the camera from jostling around during traveling in your bag. Nice way to lead people astray by saying don't use the gimbal guard because it makes cosmetic marks.
I use a soft cotton ball as gimbal guard not the original DJI one which is garbage. At least they could have put some soft padding on it's interior to prevent damage to the camera body.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 I found the perfect mavic for me, but because I live in Iraq it can't be shipped to me, non of the sellers on Ebay nor Amazon support shipping to Iraq. Such a shame, that just feels so racist. Anyways thanks for your support.
@@yasirhusseinmahmood4390 NO it is not about racism it's about the reliability of the postal service in countries that suffer from war form many years. For example they don't ship to Afghanistan and Syria either. Also in some countries for example Jordan Drones are illegal so if they ship it it will be confiscated by the Customs.
