Second and best video on growing basil I've seen. You literally answered all my basil questions that I've had and would have thought about later I'm sure. Thank you for the valuable info pack, love it like I love basil! :)
Wow, sure wish I'd found you sooner, after all the basil plants that I've been killing over the years 😆. But thanks to you, I suddenly feel as though I am in charge of my newest basil plant and know exactly what to do, especially about pruning and propagating and how to correctly harvest it for use. Thank you so much for such an informative and incredibly useful video. Maybe I can have fresh basil all year long, too! 🥰😋
I have never seen you with makeup on and Girl you fine as wine🌹. Thank you for this video, I'm here trying to figure out how to save my grocery store basil plant. Great tips!!
Your video was so helpful and well detailed. I bought my first basil plant last week from Trader Joe’s and was disheartened. Will try my luck again soon!
I just got a basil plant from Trader Joe’s this afternoon! This video is going to be so helpful in keeping my basil blooming. I inherited my dad’s gangrene thumb, and have killed cacti and succulents. So wish me luck in the basil.
I’ve only bought basil from the supermarket and they have all died so this video is perfect for me! Thanks for sharing your trials and errors, I’m sure it will help me keep my basil alive.
@@SirPlantsaLot I eat alot of basil with my brushetta I make and it always dies on me lol so def gonna try it your way I tend to over water it I think and it rots but I do water it from the bottom. So I don't know
Thank you for this video!! I just got some basil to grow and had no idea what to do with it 😂 And I love the realness of the no makeup look! You’re beautiful inside and out ❤
Love this! Had no idea you could propagate basil without root growth hormone! Thanks so much for the video, it was really entertaining and informative 🥰
I hav learned that basil plants like to root themselves very deep. So deep pots would be ideal even for small plants. Just a little tippy tip.♡ i hav moved onto experiementing with outdoor gardening for my basil planys cuz i kinda sorta gave up searching for the right pot.
Great video, learned alot. Keep up the great work and like the touch of humor. Basil is a favorite even makes the room smell nice along with Rosemary and Lemon Balm and Thyme.
@@SirPlantsaLot well, BASICLY, (ehehehe) u rock at it. It would be awesome if you could make a video about shop bought rosemary :D Thx in advanceeee ❤️
Thanks for all the info that was really helpful, I thought I was cursed cause I could never grow store bought basil until I tried your advice😅 I have tons of basil now lol
New subscriber. Love this video! Never seen you with makeup, but, girl, you don’t need any! In my younger days (I’m 67 and not looking to attract anyone), if I didn’t wear makeup, people asked if I was ok, because I looked sick. You definitely do not have that problem.
It makes me super happy that you mentioned only having 30 subscribers and then an ad pops up a while later. You've grown so much! Well done and epic video. :)
@@HeronCoyote1234 I have never used warm water. I use bottled room temp water when I am pressed for time or bottled cold water. I also use room temp or cold filtered water as well. I have never used warm filtered water or warmed up bottled water. I hope this helps.
Honestly didn’t even know you had on makeup or not. I thought you were gonna say you were tired and didn’t feel like trying too hard which is also reasonable on a Sunday night. You have great skin regardless!
i recently bought basil plants and i see them droopy and dehydrated. since it's my first time taking care of it, i am grateful for the tips! i think they lack water and maybe a little far from the sun. i should replace the pot too! thank you again!
Thank you so much!! Your video covered nearly everything I wanted and needed to know and is the best source that I've found on this topic. Great job! By the way, you have beautiful skin, so you don't need makeup to look gorgeous! Show that off more often instead of covering it up! 😊
I do basil from seeds because I prefer cinnamon or Thai basil and I can't find those varieties as plants. It's really easy and cheaper to do from seeds. You can even let some of them go to seed, and they make lots of seeds. I haven't cloned basil yet, but it's my preferred way of doing tomatoes. You actually DON'T want to soak tomatoes- just cut, stick in potting mix directly and water. They just have to be an indeterminate variety, not a determinate(patio tomato).
You look great. I just bought basil and it’s a plant. I don’t know how to keep it. I tried before to keep it alive before and it died! I don’t want to die
Really really really informative and super usefull methods and tips Thank you a lot. I divided and repotted my basil and mint today (fingers crossed) Loved your Style of making the video and explanation. As fresh as those lovely basilplants!, Basilcally!
Weeks before I watched your video, I had bought a grocery store plant. I knew they loved moisture and watered it a day or two later, and then it almost immediately died. Do you think it's because it could not drain properly? If the leaves are wilting indicating it needs watering, how do I know how much water to add? How deep does the soil need to be moist? You answered every single question I had except with watering. I'm afraid and unsure because of my previous experience. Could you please give me a little more detail on watering the plant and how to avoid overwatering? I'm keeping the plant inside and it's still in the grocery store container for another couple of days until I can get supplies. Thank you in advance if you're able to help with a little more detail!
my Thai basil and my regular basil was growing great in a hydroponic garden. I transported to outside and watered a little. what a huge mistake. the sun caused both to wilt in less than 2 hours, then the water in the pot caused the regular basil to die a slow death. the Thai basil is ok but I know I can't even think about putting it in a little sun. this is opposite what I read.
