Please recognize that videos that were on this channel with Hoover's in it... were mostly been removed. so i dont think you can see him anymore on this channel.
i don't care what happened. You should not be talking on coach Hoover's video fam. put text at the bottom or something, if it ain't hoover,i aint hearing.
what's wrong with pulling your hand away when the ball is already released. taking your hand away wouldn't affect the shot because the ball is already off your hand. its not like you have the force and you would magically manipulate your shot
Pull hand away when your finna flick the ball with the wrist, not when its already released, it would affect rotation and give a more sideways rotation, you go head and try exactly what i just said and see what happens to the rotation of the ball. Tell me after if im right
+Flying Guy ive been following the forest ever since but I just dont get why that if you bring down your off hand down before your shooting hand goes down affects your shot. you could have a really good offhand and bring it down after you release the ball and not have any effect on your good shot
+Wilbert G. Tolentino Technically you are correct. But keeping the offhand probably has this psychological effect that helps you concentrate on your shot. Stephen Curry likes to bring both his hands down immediately after the shot, so I guess it depends on individual preference.
Pro Shot has many shooting camps, so they have seen hundreds and probably thousand of young shooters and teenage shooters, and I'm quite sure they have seen all of this, and they usually correct it. It's a good thing you don't see it though. Those guide hands are garbage. Remember, guide and balance!
Im no pro shooter but has anyone taken notice to not the arm of the shooter but the hand and more importantly the thumb of these shooters? the hand instead of being straight with the basket curves out. Like Kyrie Irving for instance! when he was shooting those 3s his thumb was pushing the ball. I think pro shot should look this over and see how that effects the ball.
Yeah it's a thumb flick. Very few shooters use it to add more power to the shot. Doesn't work for everyone and it's difficult to master, because it creates inconsistencies for regular shooters. It often messes with the rotation of the ball resulting in a poor shot.
