We're did all this musical 90's MAGIC go?? So many amazing songs this decade had to offer and bless us. The 90's doesn't feel like 20-30 years ago. Feels like we're still in the 00's and this song was only 10ish years ago lol. Surely i'm not the only one feeling this way??
As a 49yo not only do I watch these clips to get a sense of happy nostalgia, but also to read the comments that always put a smile on face like l used to have on the dance floor when l would dance to this many, MANY moons ago.
This song is magic and still packs a punch on the dance floor. 91 and raving was what I looked forward to at weekends back then. Spread the love peeps 💗
This song puts a big smile on this 51 year olds face every time I hear it. This and "Groove is in the Heart" are my two favourite tracks of the era and among my all time faves.....1990....oh to be 18 again. 👌👌👌❤️
Yes 1990, what an eventful year. Margaret thatchers reign of prime minister came to an end, Nelson Mandela released from prison, the start of the gulf war and excellent music like this track featuring a very young William orbit who is nearly 70. Wowsers
I feel sorry for kids today. No freedom, terrible music, stupid social media, propaganda messing with their heads 24/7. Back in the 80s/90s I could just piss off to the woods with my mates on our bikes and switch off from everything for a while at least
Life has become tough. I'm there for my wife. I'm there for my children .I'm there for my friends and my family. I drag myself into a job I hate every day. But every day I am thankful I had the 90's when I was younger. History is written. But I will be with you whenever you need me. I will be there for you.
Exactly. And now under this nightmare Labour government we are beginning to live under a dystopian hell far worse than that experienced during the covid years
@@megatronsfury8048 Now we are in a woke filled dystopian nightmare courtesy of big pharma and puppet governments. Take that down You Tube like my last remark and prove it that we can't say anything anymore
Absolutely love this sort of music,Rozalla,Robin S,2 unlimited etc can’t stand this new Black gangster type crap Grime or whatever it’s called absolute 💩
Lived it, loved it. Best times. But Now…. I Feel for people, things are really bad in U.K and getting worse. People are spiritually, morally and financially bankrupt.
@@Debagio what was the name of the solo single she had after this, think she released it just under the name Musgrave but can't remember what it was called.
You know I feel lucky ...blessed . I was born in 72 so remember Star Wars, I was a teenager in 80s so have ATARI and Commodore 64 (and MTV) and started clubbing in 1989 so danced to classics like this and Dee Lite Groove is in the heart, Stevie V Dirty Cash, Technotronic , Soul II Soul, EMF Happy Mondays , Stone Roses and SO SO much more Blessed be
Fun fact: The rapper steven is my uncle and the little mixraced girl is his daughter cherise who was also in two different bands (Bigbrovaz) and (BootyLuv)
Wow, I love this!!!!! .... takes me back to a brilliant time in my life ,great music +fun times, no violence, nor dramas . everyone happy and getting into the groove, looking after each other at parties, (dance parties). This was a golden era never to come around again. How I miss those days and wish I could revisit them again PS THANKS very much for the upload!!!
What a tune. I often find myself whistling/humming this tune when concentrating on something - working, washing up, cutting the grass etc. I think the tune is burned on my psyche... I was 14 when this came out - 46 now, **gulp** miss those days...
wow came across this classic i was 30 at the time now nearly 62 great song dancing in deniro,s in the boro (middlesbrough) fascinating tune still as good as when i first heard it .
I came across this song from a VHS that my mum had, I think it was NOW that’s what I call Music 90. I used to watch these tapes religiously when I was growing up (I’m now 25!) I fell in love with this song and wished I could be transported back to the early 90s and hear it at a club. I have no idea if anywhere still plays music like this!? (Please let me know!) As much as it’s great that we now have music at our fingertips, I feel sad when I think about the next generations losing the magic when it comes to finding music - I.e having to tape your favourite song from the radio on to a cassette, or hearing something on TOTP and going to buy the CD the next day or the joy of finding the music your parents listened to growing up by watching a music video VHS tape! All these types of situations meant more effort when it came to music consumption but they certainly felt more rewarding
This song and music similar to this is played on Absolute Radio 90’s . This song was also in Only Fools & Horses 1990 Christmas special in the nightclub Del & Rodney are in
I was 18 in 1990 in Cornwall UK. This song has incredible memories for me too. Sept to Christmas 1990. Also look for The Shamen Hypereal. Seal Crazy. Madonna Justify my love. Enigma sadness. Same era and incredible. Finally play the whole depeche mode violator album. That's all a time machine.
The sun has just risen over a field of smiling faces, it’s time to go but not before the DJ throws this on to the cries of one more. Those precious few minutes are savoured more than life itself. This moment will never be repeated, there is no coming back from this. A moment so precious that it brings a tear of joy to those present. A moment so profound that it’s cast into stone as a memory that will live on to those who were there at the time.
I am transported back through time. Being in a club and being given a small piece of paper which had directions for a wee gathering which would operate until police showed up always looking bemused lol. Also my first big rave which I swear changed me . Closest thing to religion, a magical time with magical people which I always thought this is what it's about.
Beautiful writing and so evocative. I can truly take myself back to scenes like this, all that optimism and the pure joy of finding your tribe. Living for those moments when the lasers in the distance mark your path towards a late 80’s-early 90’s version of utopia. For me, it was hearing ‘The Sun Rising’ by the Beloved being played as the sun came up over one of those outdoor raves, before the criminal justice bill came in. I don’t ever want to forget just how amazing those years were.
Tavy@ this still sounds a great tune after it came out in 1990. There was some thing about it that made you feel like dancing lol. I woke up at about 9.10am and a had left the raidio on from the night before with the volumn quite low down and when i woke up this song was just starting i knew i wouldnt get back to sleep. And that was on 5th december 1990. And iam 48. I cant believe it was 30 years ago. There was alot of amazing dance songs that year !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember this track in the very early 90's when I was working on the Piper Bravo at Ardesire near Inverness on the Moray Firth. My mate had it on his stereo in his 3.0 S Capri
I was down in Bristol , lodged on bedminster , old Derick an Barbs bless em , i used to go loads of niteclubs , in 1990 ...Andthis was always on !! Good days long gone !
It would actually be a shock if Kiss FM decides to play some real old skool anthems instead of the repeated crap anthems they put on. So bugger Kiss FM. I rip Deep Heat cd's to play at work.
Oh you no it. Every now and then someone rocks up with an absolute banger of a tune from way back. I loved this tune and totally forgot about it until now. Thank you sir.
Lol, same boat, had incomplete copy on end of a mix tape, only found it again 4 days ago,..my ebay cd single turned up yesterday, haven't stopped smiling since.
I mustn’t have actually heard this song in decades! (I’m 44!) but I suddenly find myself singing this song to my pet cat - who was ‘fascinated’ with the rhythmic noise of my new air frier(!) 😺 I remembered nearly all the words too! 😂
William was one of the first to pull the old 80s synths out of second hand shops when people had thought they’d had their day…he knew there was another future for them and coined his blend of dj samples and spacey synth melodies😊
I drove my parents mad banging out this tune on my Saisho ghetto blaster. My mate Phil and me practised doing the running man for hours and then we showed the school disco just how it's done. This tune, along with Snap! The Power and Soul II Soul Back to Life are my childhood tunes.
Oh dear lordy lord I had my first truly partyparty nightclub experience to this track....My moves guided by a higher power, so chill yet so on beat. It was 1990 on a sunday thing called Batclub, at the Ritz in Stockholm
I've always loved this song ever since the first time I heard it back in the day on the radio. So good to hear it after a few years away from it, but still as fresh as ever ❤️
What a fabulous time for music, a real melting pot of the rave scene, British soul and hip-hop, indie/dance crossovers.. end of century fever, in music, art and culture it felt like anything was possible. We need that feeling again. ❤
