Bastinelli Creations Diagnostic Two-Finger Karambit - Collection Selection No.75 [The Knife Junkie]

My new behind-the-work-ID neck is this Fox Knives produced Bastinelli Creations two-finger karambit called Diagnostic.
Made in Italy of N690 blade steel, the Diagnostic is a tiny chisel ground claw, for whatever you might need a claw for. To vanquish foes, of course, but animals also use their claws for so much more, so don't just think of this as a weapon. It is a great letter opener (remember letters?), excellent box opener, food package slicer and I've gotten pretty good at sharpening a pencil with it.
Incredibly useful and pleasing to the eye and hand the Bastinelli Diagnostic should not be overlooked for EDC.

Just ordered mine. I can't wait! I chose this blade because I live in California so anything over 2" is illegal so the 1.75" blade is perfect for me . plus I work 9pm-5am shift as security guard in a somewhat dangerous part of my city so having something like this is a must have for me . god forbid worst case scenario I'd rather serve some time than lose my life . 🤘🇺🇸

If you were forced into a life; or death situation you would most likely have to deploy your karambit knife; and slash the neck of your attacker immediately killing him!

Great video. I normally carry a fox karambit but its too bulky for my new security job in a shadey block of flats in the city. Think im gonna order this for those up close encounters

I have it and it's an excellent design. The drawback is the chisel grind. It should be double ground, that way it will slice way better, and double edge. I have reprofiled the edge at the tip area because it didn't cut the way it should.

Emerson grind sucked and another CQB for >$200 was clunky, fit finish sucked & its grind sucked too

@@2fargonedaytona128rother, you already have these two examples, there are far more. You will have to search carefully. Most of the knife manufacturers just throw some grinds on a piece of steel, add some paint and ask the price in total disregard for the customer's suggestions. What bothers me more is that so many people just give their money away, happy to own a overpriced piece of mutilated steel, and if you dare to not follow the flock and you are telling it like it is, you are treated like a mad man. I think the only solution is to search an honest custom knife maker and work with him on your design.
