I played this game with my friend. We were on two chairs, switching whenever we died. At the start of this level, our legs were happy and joyful. After, well, pain. Just. Pain. Never had my legs hurt so much before in my life.
I can't take this anymore! I have to own the soundtrack, i can't go another second without paying a little money for one of the best soundtracks, to a game, ever !
Bastion is best served as a one-off story. Just because it was fantastic doesn't mean it needs expansion. If anything, we should respect its legacy and how it touched us by not expanding on it. It's fine just the way it is, and couldn't possibly be improved any more. Adding to it just for the sake of "more Bastion!" only cheapens it.
Not surprisingly, using the lyrics from "aint no rest for the wicked" sounds absolutely amazing with this song. all the breaks and everything just fits perfectly. not gonna lie, i would kill if someone with talent in these areas could make a mashup of this and "aint no rest for the wicked".
+Ben Latham It's absolutely worth your time. I was in your boat until a couple days ago. Now I wonder why it took me so long to discover such an amazing game
I had played the Steam version a few times, but I'm more of a pick up and play kinda guy... The iOS ports of Bastion and Dust: An Elysian Tail have been filling my time lately. Crushed all the proving grounds, save for the Fire Bellows. Cool concept, I just can't figure a good way to use it.
Have you played it by now? You should also play Transistor and Hades. Both are definitely worth it. Pyre too is not bad but it's basically a mythical basketball game so people may not like it.
This song just holds something heavy to it... i can't explain it, but there's something so strong about this whole song... something that literally holds ten thousand pounds and let's you have every last pound of it from the start.
Never played this game, but this song is one of the greatest i've ever heard. I mean, western, electric guitar and an awesome beat combined? Glorious! Makes me think of some teenagers stuck in the Wild West or something.
Zia's Kaylee. She's the love able adorable kid character who bad things happen to a whole bunch. Kid's River, he's a fuckin' death machine, but dude's outta control too. Plus, dat accuracy. The Narrator's Book, he's the old guy with a history to do with the highly military government. The robot bull you get is Jane. BASTION CONFIRMED AS FIREFLY SEASON 2
+That random guy from NISLT's comment section any representation of life or something man made is art under concept this my friend, is a master piece thats what it is
I was watching a borderlands live stream and the person I was watching puts music in his live stream, and this is amazing walking around in a endless desert
“This reminds me of Firefly, this reminds me of Borderlands, this reminds me of Led Zeppelin, this reminds me of...” You know what? This song reminds me of Bastion and why the game itself was really good! That’s all!
Super late reply, but I was thinking of Rayman too! Rayman 3 would fit this kinda beat-happy country, though the first thing that came to mind for me was the Bog where you find Count Razoff. Had to look that up to remember who the heck that guy was called, I was so young when I played it.
Love the sound of this song. Just sounds like a song that would play when you're walking down a street by yourself and your about to do something either incredibly stupid, brave, or right.
I got to say there was nothing quite as awesome when this song kicked off for the first time. DAMN this game was incredible long live Supergiant Games Studio!
*Pointing gun* Sir, I'm gonna need you to put the banjo down and step away. Sir. SIR. I repeat, place the banjo on the ground and step away. SIR this is your final warning.
