To my untrained eyes and ears, it seems almost like Codfish tactically outplayed Botaco as much as he out beat boxed him. That was fascinating and really fun

I feel like Bataco’s downfall was literally changing up his flow for the whole battle, he didn’t try to resonate with the crowd or the judges, and didn’t really show how good he is in one genre, he was honestly doing too much, and Codfish was just focusing on his single craft and style, like in a fighting game, yeah it’s good to play a lot of characters, but one character you’re really good with is unstoppable

Bataco had more variation however what Cod was doing was different to what a lot of the other competitors were doing in the comp and he brought a whole vibe/mood to his sets and always had the crowd highly involved bobbing, chanting and singing along consistently. Although it might not have been as complex it was an amazing performance not just be him but by Bataco aswell.

I'm so happy that rap and beatboxing are crossing world's again I started beatboxing a year ago and raping 2 and a half years ago but it makes me happy that your watching a beatbox video

Codfish is a master of composition and crowd control. He alone managed to win his first attempt at gbb 2018. Codfish doesn't do a lot of crazy sounds and techniques, but what he excels at is taking a few beatbox techniques and perfecting them to a point where they are so clean he can make beats that, as you can see, are like legit songs. I still consider d-low to be the best beatboxer period, but d-low losing to codfish in 2018 for me had to happen so d-low could learn from that experience a few things that codfish did that got him the win. After this D-low went back to gbb and legit was in a whole other level and whiped the floor with everyone, it wasn't even funny. I believe Codfish brought out the best in D-low and this gbb also proves that technique and composition can win over a person with a great arsenal of sounds.

Honestly I prefer the 2017 tournament, my favorite guy hiss made it to the end! I'm just glad another reactor is on this beatbox now!

I have been beatboxing for about 6-7 years now and i wouldn't have even started if it wasn't for this channel. Dude the old battles like Reeps vs Skiller were way better in my opinion. Still remember getting so hyped when Alem got his championship win. If i had to absolutely recommend 1 beatboxer to react to I'd say Reeps One is the most diverse and musically minded of the community but then again if its just pure beat skill I'd have to say maybe B-Art or D-Low. So glad to see people that aren't in the community are getting into beatbox now!
