Hate when icee interrupts dancers by getting in their space. It's one thing to vibe to the beat on the side but to constantly get in their space is ridiculous. Multiple battles in a row he's done this

It s because some of you don t know how to connect in dance battle or not, here batalla felt agress and didn t know how to react... and that s why i pull the t shirt of icee.... the new gen still have a lot to learn.... and you don t understand look icee vs waydi... it s what we call connecting and not robbing also John didn t follow the timing on the clock and the battle should go on... go more clubbing then you get knowledge of what mean the word social dance... Batalla is Good and deserve his victory for the work and the love he put in his dance... Icee is already back on Mars anyway hahahha... be blessed people....

NIAKO LEGION X I understand connecting since I've been doing dance battles more recently. I watch you and icee a lot of times in battles and see icee connect but sometimes people would like the other dancer dance his full freestyle without others getting in their space. No disrespect just my opinion

@@NIAKOLEGIONX naw. It's definitely him interfering because I'd want to connect with Icee too, but it's just that it kinda gets in the way. People are already focusing on him. Let some of thd New Generation have their space. Like, not EVERY battle needs a connection from Icee because then it kinda hurts the vibe of the opponent, fun or not. People get a lot of crap for going in on other peoples turn, but Icee is a frequent. I think Icee should just give a little bit more elbow room when trying to vibe with his opponents. And to make sure that he doesn't end up stealing the turn from them, cause that what it looks like even to the people in crowd.

I agree. One thing to Vibe but another to interrupt (time & space) especially when he goes to the middle & also the length of time he does it. Icee is one of my favourite freestylers, like I have so much respect to him esp the way he represents Hip-Hop in all of his battles but I agree with you on this Niako. I mean it may have even costed him this battle as a result nawmeen? Who knows right? Props to Battala though, he brought in 3 dope very different looks in each one of his rounds! ✌🏾

The only thing that i didn't like about Icee is that he wanted to connect with Batalla during Batalla's round, when you wanna have that connection is better that you wait until the opponent round ends. For me it was a good desicion, but, total agree with you Icee is a monster and he is in his own universe.

Batalla caught my attention last year on the very same stage and I became a fan. He has improved drastically since then and he really deserved the dub. Great performance by ICEE as well

“Let the crowd choose” is the unique way which makes whole audience attending this event get into the battle more than other dance event. In this respect, this is a really good design to make all the people feel “included “ in the battle . There are so many types of judging ways in dance battles. If you don’t like the rule of Summer Dance forever, you can attend other dance battle which has acceptable rules and judges for you . But it’s not reasonable to ask This event to change it’s rule. Because all kinds of rules have their bias. Dancers and judges know each other.Some of them are friends, some of them are not. Even you cancel the original rule of this event, the above setting of dancers’ relationships also lead to bias, which may cause much variation than”let the crowd choose”.

Batalla dont dance during the icee roung and look at icee when he dancing in contrary of ICEE for me respect is the basic of battle and icee was lee good than batalla here, Open your eyes , the young boy was more real more powefull, more on tempo , and more chirurgical , at list batalla respect icee, he looking at him when he dancing, dont dance during his round and he is a better dancer so . 11:33 Batalla's face, body language, and the fact that he's pointing to the other side of the stage, sayingto Icee "get out of my space" should be something the judges need to talk to Icee about. It ruins the vibe, encroaches on the other opponents space, and according to the comments I've see on more than one video, no-one likes it. If this were an exhibition, that would be a different story, but this is a competition.

Icee should have won tbh, but I didn't like his behaviour especially in the last round. If you have won this competition as often as him you don't try to steal your opponent's show like that...sit your ass down or stand in your line, be respectful. So yeah, I'm actually happy with the result.

NIAKO LEGION X I did see many battles where one was trying to connect and it didn’t bother me at all. Because that wasn’t breaking the momentum of the opponent like it did this time. The next generation needs to learn ok, but Icee knows it well and still YOU had to stop him..

Biggest lessons I learned from watching many different battles: 1) Don't let dancers be touchy feely, dancing with each other and ish. It's an fn dance BATTLE 2) Pick better music. This has been a huge thorn for viewers. Never ever lower the energy. 3) Hosts should be quiet. Don't have to hype the crowd. That's the music's job. 4) Don't let spectators sit. Low energy. Stand up around the dance floor/stage. Each battle is only 3-5 minutes. 5) Let the crowd choose the winner. I don't like judges. Crowd knows what they like when they see it.

The crowd really shouldn't be allowed to judge imo (if you disagree that's fine, but hear me out). Last year, everyone was complaining about how Batalla should've won against Icee. It's just ignorant to think some form of psychological bias wasn't present among the crowd in favor of Batalla. The moment the crowd got to choose, Icee was pretty much doomed to lose. I just think that's sad; imagine pouring your heart out on the floor, only to have a crowd that was never gonna make you win from the start (well, some at least).

Ken Inao I'd want to add that having the judges battling already exhausted challengers is unfair, as most of the guys who are judging have no humbleness or sincerity when they choose to say they won. I mean sure they're here to win, but try seeing it from your opponents' eyes. Akihisa not admitting he lost to Kefton in 2016 is just one of the countless examples of mentality of these guys. I just find this system broken personally.

Lol Tell that to brooke. That is not an excuse. Brooke (popper) he battle ALL 3 JUDGES. he beated Rashaad who is no joke. Then took on boogie frantick. and then almost beated hoan (the extra round was not necessary because hoan won but brooke took the extra round although crowd choosed hoan).

to add to what you said, the battle is more about the journey, creating that old skool cypher vibe where the people around you react to who they favor more and who has worked the hardest (in the crowds opinion and the dancers own). It is about being honest to yourself when considering the opponent. and its not so much about winning. Yes, the system is not a good system to work with if it was any other battle with a lot of money on the line. John the host, explains it almost every year at the event.

Still at the top of the game, and this is the best I've seen of him. Ice doesn't crack, who knew? Batalla got a lot better and his style is definitely interesting. His raw moments are always so insane.

Right there at 11:40 --that's how it was done back in the 80s with popping. You step right up to whoever you're battling. Sometimes a fight would break out. After all it is a battle--take no prisoners.
