Waydi with that 2nd Round Man... Stole the show.... Icee had to jump in and start dancing to steal his momentum. Judges should not allow this in my opinion. Dancers are like artists, let them create with no interuptions in the amount of time they are alloted. IMHO.

Waydi was really exhausted, but he also do this by himself in a lot of battles. Actually, a LOT of dancers are doing this and don't mind as soon as it isn't done in a disrespectful/abusive way. Why would you create drama in a peaceful place ? Waydi and Icee are friends, and I can even tell you that Icee "raised" Waydi during his start in dance, with some other people like Bouboo, Playmo etc.

Right? You already had your round. Just stand in your corner and wait. And everyone else saying people don't understand their friendship and shit, this didn't happen in any other battle. Sure dancers link sometimes. Icee went out to the middle of the floor and tried to do a whole other fucking routine. Disappointing.

@@fuelbot What didn't happen is mostly the fact that when Waydi does it in bunch of others battles, no one reproach it, but when Icee do it against Waydi, a lot of criticisms are being posted. I would just assimilate this to fanboying, but I don't want to create some useless argue with insults, disrespect and stuff. I can understand the annoyance you're getting from it tho.

@@kenwkls6392icee is sloppy as fuck and he lost this one like the one with batalla in 2017, momentum stealer where he stay for long time in the middle dancing meanwhile is the turn of the others , bad attitude and annoying moves. ...Waydi is clearly on another level.....and not matter about old or new school , look at joseph GO ...he is probably more than 40 yo atm but is sharp and cool every time... if you do a huge concept without being on time with the music is better that you stay at home and let dance other people. The crowd are mostly 3 years+ experienced dancers, which means people who are not limited by "musicality, perfect beat" and more wrong definition of dancing.

@@Myogramme Not everyone in the crowd was a 3+ year dancer. I looked at mostly everyone I could see during the battles in the crowd. And I can tell you there are very many non-dancing people there. And also how is "musicality" a wrong terminology in dance? If thats not a term then mind sharing what is the term for being completely one with the beat/hitting mostly everything from the beat? Because Im a dancer myself. And as far as I know hitting most of the beat or just being really accurate and onbeat is musicality.

@@silentlyjudgingyou5748 To answer your question, that's called musicality, which I didn't refute. You didn't understand my message. As I said, dancing isn't only "hitting on the beat", there's a lot of different concept, grooving is an exemple. You can't say someone won just because he could've hit on the beat even more than his opponent, that's a limiting belief of what define the concept of "dancing" and that's definitely not how battle are judged. Keep in mind that the fact you're a dancer does not define the richness of your knowledge about it, I've heard bunch of dancers thinking that dancing was just about musicality, and for most of them, they would get surprised when someone like Waydi lose, because "his opponent didn't hit every beats". I'm curious to see how they are practicing, lol.

Icee legit started dancing at the very end of the last round i know this is old new but for an OG to do this is unacceptable waydi did not once interrupt icee during this battle and icee legit took light off of waydi and made his last couple sets feel eh ish because you got icee in the corner doing shit when everyone’s trying to focus on waydi and so it just sets the vibe off pretty messed up of icee to do but again it’s old news I know

That was fire! Pure 🔥🔥 They danced like their lives depended on it. They both pulled out new moves. Some of those moves went beyond what I thought the body was rhythmically capable of...I didn’t realize it until I watched it again but ICEE took up 5 eight counts(which is a lot), Waydi could’ve easily squashed that but chose to go with it. I just wish I could see it from the opposite side of stage, I need more angles! This was the best I’ve seen both of them dance, most fair-as far as talent, but damn they needed judges...Ok, I watched it a few(like 20) more times and Waydi won. Round 1-Waydi Round 2-Waydi Round 3-ICEE Round 4-Waydi

For those that are saying it’s friendship and icee means no disrespect. Your wrong. Icee was clearly interrupting and disrupting Waydi’s rounds and momentum. Watch closely in the 2nd round, Waydi was catching fire and as soon as the crowd starting going wild for him, Icee hopped in and tried to vibe w him when clearly the man was tryna drop some more heat, interrupted his flow and his round. when icee dances waydi respects him and gives him his space because it is his minute, on the other hand icee when waydi has his time interrupts him making movements and dancing at the same time, which lacks respect and little judgment on his part. also waydi has much more style when dancing many more steps generates movements at the precise moment of each song and icee is always the same, bad decision

Un crève cœur à chaque fois que la délibération du jury est donnée... C'est un des plus gros VOL de l'histoire des battles, (la demi-finale du JD 2016 se pose là aussi..). Icee est une légende, il incarne le hip hop c'est incontestable. Mais Waydi était au dessus à chaque échange. J'arrive pas à m'y faire, mais bon l'histoire est aussi faite d'injustice après tout... Bravo à eux en tout cas, c'était un beau moment de partage. Criminalz for life

I'm a Waydi fan but come on when I see some viewers dissing Icee and being disrespectful, this is ridiculous. He's a legend and should be respected.

This happened also with Les Twins vs Waydi & Rochka, Waydi vs Skitzo, Waydi & Rochka during the Free Spirit Festival... You saw Icee disrespecting Waydi. Personally, I saw Icee catching Waydi's vibe and Waydi playing so god damn well with Icee next to him.

It's insane that Waydi somehow lost after that round 2 but hopefully this is a learning experience and will make him grow as a dancer. On a side note there's oftern controversy surrounding Icee whether it's judge bias or his own behavior, I hope to see less of him in future.

Icee didn't start dancing with Waydi until the middle of the 2nd round, onced he realized he was beat. Notice how the crowd died down a little bit onced Icee started dancing with him hoping for a collab spot and taking the momentum away from Waydi. Its a damn Battle and Icee knew that Waydi wouldn't tell him to back up. Smart O.G battle Tactic if you ask me. Stretch your respect level LMAO.

Just so ya'll know guys...when Icee started dancing during Waydi's run, he was actually doing something that is pretty commonplace in the break dancing community. Only great dancers can sync up with each other during the middle of battles without practicing. It only shows how awesome both dancers are and it is used as a way to show the crowd "Yeah! That's right! We're both badasses!"

true, that happens, and was part of what happened here. but ALSO in this case I think Icee was trying to cool down the fire Waydi had built up, otherwise Icee was goingt o lose that round. Listen and watch the crowd as Waydi was building momentum (the strongest in the whole comp), and then Icee cooled it off (pu intended). Sure, it could be argued he was catching on to Waydi's energy and couldn't help but be drawn in - but in reality, he could have just sat back and watched. Except then he would have no coice but to give Waydi the win, which clearly he did.

Icee won this being consistently good throughout the three rounds without extra round. But Waydi went off in the second. There must be something about the song that resonated with him artistically because we didnt see anything close to that level in any other round by himself or Icee. The second round was definitely Waydi's.
