Hi Maria. I have been struggling for ages to make bath bombs, with it always being hit and miss. After watching your video, I simplified my recipe as you suggested and have had nothing but success!! I only use water now to bind and took out the coconut oil!! Thank you so much - all the way from South Africa!

I have been trying to make shower steamers without much success. I was trying to find information about troubleshooting and found your video about bathbombs. THANK YOU! Your information certainly applies to shower steamers as far as wetness of the mix and humidity while drying them. I am so appreciative that you've shared your experience! I will continue to experiment and perfect. I live in NJ which is low altitude and pretty humid. I purchased a dehumidifier and hope this solves much of my problem. Be well and continue to help others. 💜

Thanks for so much info. I had a problem w/ cracking early on, and I think you said we could wrap them in cellophane (Saran wrap type stuff) pretty quickly. Once I let them dry for about an hour, I wrap them up and that took care of that problem. You gave a lot of other issues I haven't had yet -thankfully, but I'm equipped now to know a bit more of what's causing it and now, hopefully, be able to avoid it.

Great video! I find adding the citric acid after the wet ingredients helps to prevent the reaction starting prematurely.
@PassionFactorCCo
@PassionFactorCCo 6 лет назад
If you add embeds, I think embeds helps them spin because the embeds are of different ratio of citric acid/carbo mix. The bomb is 2-1 and the embeds are 1-1. The embeds fizz faster than the bomb so it causes it to spin.
@debiolsen8707
@debiolsen8707 5 лет назад
Great info, although if anyone is selling bath bombs, use caution with these ratios. Lush has a patent for using embeds with a different ratio and/or recipe than the outer bomb - and they have gone after people who violate it. You are okay if the embeds are the exact same mix/recipe as the rest of the bomb, however.
@natural75beauty75
@natural75beauty75 4 года назад
Passion Factor it’s actually the weight and an imbalance in placement within the bomb that makes it spin when adding embeds...

Thank you so much for sharing all your helpful information, I was ready to pull my hair out, I first started making bombs about a year ago and they came out perfect every time without any problems, then I moved to a different house and couldnt make another successful bomb to save my life, thinking its due to having a damp basement so have introduced a dehumidifier but still cant seem to get them right, I was ready to give up but after watching your video Im gonna try tweaking my recipe, question though and you might have said it and I missed it but what percentage of humidity would you recommend?

Hello from Scotlad 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Thank you so much for all the sound information. I am a real novice. I spent the last few weeks trying to perfect a “bomb” that is mostly epsom ( for the magnesium benefits ) but there is so little fizz. I need to just call it a bath soak instead. So Im trying to teach myself a bit more about fizz and bubbles. I have already decided to stay away from slsa and I have not tried the powder milk yet. My question is - what do you think of the idea of adding some liquid castille soap to the mixture.

Hi Maria, thank you so much for your generosity & time you’ve taken to explain all this. I’m wondering if you ever use a mixture that has crumbled & turned to powder. Meaning, have you added more water or liquid & tried to remold them? I know you’ve mentioned using it as “unicorn dust”, but I have so much fragrance in a batch that I’m really hoping to remold them & use it, because I’m making gifts for people. Thank you for any help you can offer :)

If you try to do that, most of the time it won't work. You will also be activating the citric acid.

Inbeds are concentrated color blocks (or pieces) made from the same stuff of the bath bomb, only heavily colored that is put in the middle of the bath bomb. When the bomb dissolves, it releases the vibrant color.
