Ikr, like it could be the bathtub's water starts running on its own when the person(character in movie) is sleeping or doing something in their bedroom. The person thought their wife/husband was taking a bath. But it was actually... a bath demon spawning. That's just an idea :v

Amazing job!!! You're both so talented! IMO the dental distortions looked a bit "cartoony" compared to the rest of your face, though. I don't know if it's possible to safely airbrush them, but maybe softening and grunging up the yellow a bit would've helped? Either way, it's a lot better than what I could've done, so I'm not complaining!

Just kidding, I'm usually exhausted and sticky and want to get it off and go have a shower as fast as possible. Putting this stuff on myself so often has given me such a huge respect for actors who shoot in it 12 hours or more a day.

This video popped up in my recommended list and WOW, that looks like a crazy amount of work but it looks awesome! We use moulage for more realistic rescue scenarios as part of this volunteer rescue group. I have no idea what we use but they only had a couple of hours for 3-4 people to work on like 20 casualties so we never did anything this detailed. Just stuck on prepared pieces or sculpted a little with flesh coloured putty stuff, then added in bruise palette makeup and/or the different types of blood (scratch blood, oozing blood, think a couple got some arterial blood pump kits which was cool).

This was absolutely incredible. Some of my favourite work of yours I've ever seen to be honest. It was such a beautiful character! I feel like you weren't as concerned with realism for this character, but more with telling a story, so every detail made sense, even though it may not have been true to life. OMG! I'm discovering all of these youtubers I used to watch and I'm SO HAPPY I FOUND YOU AGAIN! I first wanted to get into sfx because of you and the badass heroine look! IM SO HAPPY I COULD CRY! since then I've started an Instagram for my makeup, but have since taken all of my sfx looks down (cause they suck). Finding this makes me want to start again.

A good beginner one is the Paasche H! Heapppps of people in the FX industry use it, it's a good workhorse. The one I"m using here is a bit fancier, it's a Iwata HP C Plus, also heaps of people in the industry use this one, but it's more expensive and a bit harder to clean.

I love this! Quick question, have you had any problem with using super Baldiez and then alcohol activated paints on top of it? As the super Baldiez dissolves with alcohol, did you have any problem with the prosthetic dissolving while you painted it?

Hey Manuela, good question! Not really with these prosthetics as I dissolve away nearly all of the cap plastic around the edges (leaving maybe 1 - 2 mms around the silicone prosthetic) and then cover it with creamy prosaide, so that's got a physical barrier over it. Then what's on top of the silicone that is being painted serves as something that will hold or absorb the alcohol paints, where as painting on straight silicone doesn't last unless you're using more silicone. So the cap plastic gets penetrated by the alcohol paints, but it isn't completely destroyed by it. If I were to really douse it with alcohol and scrub I'd notice it more (like if I hated my paint job and wanted to start again) then it would cause problems. If I do a bald cap with super baldiez I notice it more, especially because it's just bald cap plastic (no silicone), there could be alcohol in the hair products to smooth out the hair (hair gels, hair sprays), or the alcohol paints to colour match can thin it out and cause holes. So I prefer regular baldiez for bald caps, it's also less stretchy which helps. At Monsterpalooza's PPI demo botoh nearly everyone was using regular baldiez on their appliances, only one (Bill Corso) used Super Baldiez, but most others preffered Baldiez or other acetone based cap plastics. I've also met many artists who straight up refuse to use the acetone based cap plastics on the face and therefore needed them to be super baldiez.

not really. you dont have to sculpt it your self you can buy pre made prosthetics and some are even base painted so it makes it very easy for beginners

This is incredible and I love the finished effect. The pace of your videos is great - so fast actually that it's not possible to take it all in at once but soo useful if you want a real pro perspective, I feel like I could go away now and research a bunch of different stuff that you've touched on. Great learning material so thank you :) Also I would love to know also how you found a food colouring that wouldn't stain your skin afterwards? It looks so pigmented, but that kind of dye I have found stains the worst. What's the brand?

I love the both of you and you do such amazing work separately, then you go together and its unbelievable. I am a but confused though, wouldn't the colors just come off in the water or are they special activated paints?

The alcohol paints stay on your skin until you scrub them off or use a special remover :) Unless you've got really pesky skin that rejects the paint, but most people's skin it works great.
