For the longest time, I wanted hair like Quorthon in this video. But I didn’t know how to do it, and besides my friends would’ve crucified me. RIP Quorthon. We all love your music.
Actually Dead didn't like Bathory. I have the book "Letters from the Dead" which features letters Dead wrote to a pen pall and magazine editor. He had this to say about Bathory: "One guy who is posing to be so Evil and Dark, but really is a wimp is the incredibly stupid Quorthon of Bathory. Now he's totally wimped out as you can hear on his later releases especially the latest shit piece."
@@Fireglo Pelle Ohlin used to be a fan of Bathory until he met them. This is the moment when he met them and begun to see them for the wanna-be american rock-stars that they were.
@@Fireglo read blod eld död. His brother speakes about this very moment. Also, you need to keep in mind that he was 16 /17 in this video. Obviosly, a man at 20/22 would look a bit different.
Cuz chicks nowadays are whack and prefer short haired dudes tbh. 2010s are a whack era. I’ve got hair like this and my girlfriend digs it so I lucked out lmao
Dead was indeed at this event, but you cannot see him on this video. All you guys thinking this or that guy is him are wrong. Although you can see Boss, Quorthon's father at 4:22 and the girl next to him may be, just maybe, Quorthon's sister.
"One guy who is posing to be so Evil and Dark, but really is a wimp is the incredibly stupid Quorthon of Bathory. Now he's totally wimped out as you can hear on his later releases especially the latest shit piece." Pelle "Dead" Ohlin (Source: Letters from the Dead)
"One guy who is posing to be so Evil and Dark, but really is a wimp is the incredibly stupid Quorthon of Bathory. Now he's totally wimped out as you can hear on his later releases especially the latest shit piece." - Pelle "Dead" Ohlin So I doubt it's him plus it looks nothing like him.
@@Fireglo I fact, you're giving no context He said that because he was disappointed about the albums after Bathory, and Quorthon quiting the "DaRk SiDe Of MeTaL". That's quite sad because Dead used to LOVE Bathory
Anyone knows what's more or less the street or address actually in Stockholm then? Downtown? Near sköneweg ? The same street where Boss had the first heavenshore recording studios ?
IIRC, Bathory played like three or four shows before their first album was released at a recreational center. qurothon stopped playing because he hated playing live
There were rumored to be some one off gigs at like barbecues and small parties sometime around 1984 but Quorthon never enjoyed doing them so they never did after 85
i whis just kwnoing some who's tape in this video.. and i w said.. "man.. did u meet quorthon?? fuck man.. !! he's MAKE invente music... LOVE U QUORTHON!! FROM MEXICO!!!

The guy at 01:27 and 04:04? He looks like Whitchhunter, though I doubt it's him, probably some of the people who assumed the Vvornth and Kothaar stage names more likely. BOSS is Quorthon's dad no way it's him.
DemiFaust . it was Palle (Vvornth), the very guy who recorded drums for Bathory, from Under The sign... to Twilight of the Gods. The short fat man was Boss
metalmaster14 No Bathory album has real drums. They are all drum machine. All of them, with just some tweaks here and there. My biggest regret probably - that he never had a live drummer on any of his recordings.
No, you are wrong: first album, The Return....., Under the Sign... Blood Fire Death, and Twilight of the gods feature real druming. Some snare drums might be reeplaced, but those albums drums are played by an human. Even some parts of Blood on Ice. Also, if you hear clsoely, you can hear some timing errors which a drum machine are not able to do.
metalmaster14 No, I think you are wrong instead. There is nothing in any Bathory album resembling live drums. It's all drum machine. No fills, no rolls, nothing. The timing errors you mention (which you can also spot on Crawl to Your Cross and other songs) are simply bad mixing and editing because he never had any serious budget to record and mix properly. It's all drum machine and triggers unfortunately.
Looks nothing like him. Not every metalhead with long blonde hair in Sweden is Pelle yaknow. Blonde is a very common hair colour in Scandinavia. Besides I have proof Dead didn't like Bathory so I highly doubt he would attend a concert of theirs.
@@Fireglo This is Pelle Ohlin. 99% sure of that. Btw, I`m a long haired, blonde, blue-eyed northern Europan myself; I`m very much aware of the fact that we don`t all look the same. However...I`m pretty sure that this is actually the one most of us know as "Dead", back when he was a (slightly better-fed) teenager.
J.J. If you really knew your stuff then you’d know that Ohlin used to be a huge fan of Bathory. It wasn’t until later when he actually started to despise Quorthon. Also, there exists a picture with both Quorthon and Dead at Loud Sound as well as an account of the event.
@@Fireglo You highly doubt Dead would attend a Bathory concert in 1987? What planet is this? Bathory played concerts in 1987? How do you know so much? Are you a cop?
@@cometothesabbat in the book "Letters from the Dead" which is a collection of letters written by Dead he clearly states hatred of Bathory. He even called Quorthon a pussy.
"One guy who is posing to be so Evil and Dark, but really is a wimp is the incredibly stupid Quorthon of Bathory. Now he's totally wimped out as you can hear on his later releases especially the latest shit piece." - Pelle "Dead" Ohlin. So it's probably not him.
