This is why Adam West was and still IS the best Batman. Yes, it was corny, but it was a lot of fun for everyone. Adam West never took himself too seriously in the role which is what made it so great. We all miss you, Adam! Looking forward to seeing you in that Batcave in the sky some day!

Of course, when I was a child, Adam West was absolutely serious to me, but as I grew older I realized this actor's extraordinary capacity for unintentional comedy. I had the opportunity to see him in person many years ago at a comic book convention in Mexico City and I was shocked to see him in person, with an ambivalent feeling, of immense happiness for my inner child and also seeing a true superstar.

He actually sang on the show once. He sang “They call me little buttercup” in the Black Widow episode.
