I first played this game the 12/21/2011, after coming home from my grandfather's funeral. My parents decided to give me my Christmas presents early for me to feel a bit better. Spent the night playing. A very special game for me, one of my favourites still to this day.
I was all but consumed by Battlefield 3 at the time, just out of college. I remember some hype about this game, but I paid zero attention to it at the time. Welp, time to make up for lost time now by catching up on this. My condolences about your grandpa.
And don't forget the Arkham Knight and asylum and city. And Batman assault on Arkham, and those justice league shows not action but those other older ones.
The best part of every gameplay of him is when he shows every detail and secret throughout the story (radio transmission, black mask been knocked out, Jack Ryder etc). I simply love that.
I liked that he went into detective mode to look at Strange’s condition before he hacked the door. I didn’t even know it tells you that he’s nervous in that part. Pretty funny.
@@brianboardwell1986 it shows that after all he's boasted about being superior to Batman, but when faced with him alone, he's suddenly scared out of his mind.
i didnt know he passed away WOW. are you serious? wow this surprises me alot! big time! i cant believe he passed away. but i can always remember him. everyone can. especially when I can recognize his voice.
@@parkchimmy_cherrycuties7474Voice actor and actor Kevin Conroy did some final projects before he passed away in 2022. One of those projects was " Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League".
Rest In Peace Kevin Conroy. You’re an absolute legend who was taken from us way too soon. You’ll always be the best Batman. Nothing will ever change that.🙏❤️😭
I was gonna say "damn, he didn't knock out Penguin at the start of the game" Then he showed me dialogue I didn't even know existed from Penguin, then knocked him out lmao
This game came out my sophomore year of high school. Brings back so many memories and it’s my all time favorite game till this day. I remember waking up early like at 5 am to get some playing in and I’d be fighting Solomon Grundy trying to be quiet while my family was still asleep. Great times.
Im barely 30 minutes in and I already realize how little I truly experienced in this game. This guy does everything right. Every little conversation adds to the story and atmosphere in a way I didn’t think possible.
Did you notice he goes the whole game without taking any damage at all? Did he like restart from a checkpoint if he took a hit, or did he really play seven hours straight without making a mistake?
2:02:59 There's something quite wholesome about hearing a cop call Batman sir, as if he's a part of the chain of command in the police. It's like they forget that Batman is not a cop, but at the same time, they respect him like a war hero. I love hearing that. Goes to show how notable Batman's reputation is.
@@amirhomayoonfarmusic officers have been calling him sir even in Arkham origins at the very end of the game when u save the prison officers from getting killed at blackgate prison
You really think that after 100%’ing this game 8 times as well as the other games, that I’m gonna watch this gameplay again from start to finish? Because you’re absolutely right
@@TT-fv6tx I am gonna assume it was easy to remember the locations considering that he knew many of the trophies and how to unlock them after completing the game 3 times.
Have y'all heard the story of when Kevin Conroy volunteered at a soup kitchen? One of the other volunteers kept telling people that Batman was one of the chefs. Nobody believed them, until Kevin yelled his iconic catchphrase from the back. All anybody heard was "I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman", followed by Conroy laughing
2:11:20 This predator section blew me away. It genuinely felt like Batman was carefully planning his tactics, especially when he looks at the mine he uses to take down the last guy. Truly a master at work.
I love how watching this gameplay after playing it 10+ years ago that the signs for Clayface acting as Joker were all there in his dialogue. The amount of theatre knowledge, acting chops, how he moved around the camera and using dramatization for effect were all clues that I missed until watching this gameplay. Truly a masterpiece this is
You know what I never realized until recently? The real Joker always refers to Batman as "Bats". Whenever it's Clayface disguised as Joker, he calls him "Batman".

How much you wanna bet he edited out tons of attempts where he made mistakes? I mean, we don't see this guy make a single mistake in six hours of straight gameplay. That's just unrealistic.
It’s actually really cool to hear all the dialogue I never knew about and see all the Easter eggs and hidden details I’ve never noticed before. I love that BAV went through all the unnecessary effort to show us all this. Definitely one of my favorite RU-vid channels.
2:06:15 2:09:27 2:12:32 That dance the thug was doing was reused in Batman Arkham Origins when those Mad Hatter Thugs invited Batman to see Mad Hatter 4:58:51 I like the little detail where you can hear the real Joker coughing and the camera shakes a bit while he's busy recording Clayface. 6:10:22
Welcome back, Mr. Wayne. The Batwing is prepped and ready for deployment. We eagerly await your adventures into Gotham Knights as well, good sir. Let us know if there is anything you need while you're out and about. Good hunting, and do be careful. Gotham seems to get a bit... strange... this time of year. 🤵🏿♂️
I still can’t believe it’s been a decade since this game came out, I will forever consider this my favorite video game ever, it just captures the tone of Batman so well, and you uploading this today makes it even better. Arkham City was just a masterpiece, and even 10 Years Later it is
@@ZayToDiffrent lmao you have knight over city? Whoa there don't go using the fuckin batmobile half the game on us 💀🤦♂️🤦♂️ only thing that gane has on arkham city is the combat is better other than that huge Ls
Martha and Thomas Wayne appearing when Batman was about to reach the Demon Trials and the music begins to play, still gives me chills and is definitely one of my favorite scenes in this game.
I remember going into this game back in 2011 without watching any marketing material. The atmosphere, game play and story absolutely blew my mind. The protocol 10 sequence....🤯
Two actors that made me a big Batman fan when I was a kid was Michael Keaton and Kevin Conroy..... RIP Kevin and thanks for making every kid's childhood cool.... Rest easy
This game will always have a special place in my heart. One of my all time favourite games. So many great memories. Legends like Arkham City will never die
Here's a terrifying thought - with games relying on Internet connections & multiplayer servers... Suicide Squad may not even be playable in 10 years time
This game holds a special place in my heart, this was my favorite game that my gamer grandpa showed me when I was younger. After he passed, I re-bought the game on PS4 and 100%'d it, it took 2 months, my entire summer break, it was worth it to honor him. :)
This game gives me happy and sad memories at the same time: Happy that I got 100% and I love this game.. while also soul crushingly sad because I also experienced the corrupt file meaning I had to get all 100 riddler trophies all over again 😂
Hello Batman Arkham Videos Thanks to you, I get to relieve the joy and experience I felt because this is one of my (if not my most) favorite game of all time. Back then, I was really struggling with the Riddler challenge maps and then I discovered your channel and I remember I was completely amazed by your skill level and analysis of every easter eggs. Your content shows how passionnate you are with these games and I cannot wait to see you play Suicide Squad and Gotham knights. I also hope to play them both and see if they live up to the Arkham verse. Anyway, thank you for releasing this video on my birthday and good luck for everything you might plan to do !

The part where you fight all those guys and the ride is going on, to not get hit once there and to get a 128 hit combo where you don’t have the dodge thing come up, is truly spectacular. I always manage to get myself hit by the hammer guy
I bought this game on PS3 just before I went off to university. So many memories of sitting in a sunny lounge with a bottle of Mountain Dew playing this game 😎
i cant believe he passed away. that just makes me so sad. but hey, we will always remember him. i just hate hearing when people pass away like this. it's like every DAMN thing that comes towards us all the time. it just keeps coming at us.
I’m just now playing this game for the first time. It is a masterpiece regardless whether it’s been upgraded for new consoles or not. The developers obviously put a lot of work into this game
10 years ago I started my Batman journey with this game. But actually it was through this channel since I didn't even had a PS3 to play it. I'm really shocked by how long it's been
Arkham series(city and Asylum I don't have origins but I have a hard time going back into knight for obvious reasons) , uncharted, insomniac Spiderman games.
@@gavinlarson4520 It's largely the batmobile's implementation and lack of bossfights. The game is a technical Marvel don't get me wrong but man it does get monotonous even though it's the best car I've ever driven in a game. Origins I just never got to play and I'm still looking for it for my 360.
@@pickle93 I know and believe me I want to. I'm looking a 360 copy. I've watched the playthrough on this channel over and over. All the Arkham games have their strengths.
3:29:30 It's a shame that Kevin Conroy never got the chance to voice The Batman Who Laughs, but I'd like to think that the evil voice he provides for Hush is a hint of what could have been.
Still remember the time when my father and I bought the PS3 late into its lifecycle. We were choosing some games when he said to buy this one. Was still a teenager and thought "Who wants to play a kiddy batman game?". Who would have thought that a couple of years later, this still stands as one of the best games I've played.
The ouch nostalgia, it feels like I were actually in the game. The feeling when playing this game 5 or 6 years just can't be put in words 😢 I was so happy
Watching this now makes me emotional because Kevin Conroy made our childhoods so much better with his work. There’s no way the Arkham games would’ve been as great as they are without his iconic voice. RIP Kevin, you will forever be the greatest Batman of all time. ❤
One of the best Batman stories and as always without receiving damage in the game with 100% and with Impeccable Freeflow, I wonder what it will be like when Arkham Knight and Origins meet their 10 years anniversary, I want to see it when it is time and I will wait with You win when Gotham Knights comes out it will be weird without Batman but I know the game will be Incredible. Keep it up, because You are the Vengence, You are the Night, You are a Dark Knight.
This is my favorite from trilogy! The atmosphere, story, gameplay and overall presentation make this great from the franchise... maybe best batman game I ever played! 🤩
4:59:26 Joker "... I'll be right behind you" Then Batman throws a batarang out of frustration at the TV screen/monitor. And let's not forget, Rest in Peace Mr. Conroy. ***SPOILER ALERT*** ********************** somewhere in the 5:12:00 time, a BIG announcement is on the floor.... 5:22:07 Ol' Miss Whip wielding Catwoman has left some kitty kisses with the Mad Hatter!!
I’m 20 now, so these games came out when I was a little kid. I remember being terrified of playing asylum, and that game holds a special place in my heart. I grew up with these two games, playing them over and over but never 100% them. I just recently 100% asylum, and I have a new found respect and love for it. I’m now about to start city and take my time to actually BE THE BATMAN lol. I’ve 240# knight probably 12 times I love these games so much. S+ tier gaming
Same bro, Arkham Asylum scared me shitless as a kid (especially Scarecrow sequence and final battle with Joker on titan), but still I was a huge Batman fan and was incredibly excited to play Arkham City, beat it like 10 times
In the end, Joker was responsible for his own demise. Attacking Batman and knocking the cure out of his hands. It's a fitting end. His obsession with Batman ended with his death. And worst of all, he didn't make Batman kill him. He did it himself.
Hey guys, could we go start a gofundme for the thug at 40:17 ? He's suffering from vision and hearing impairment, and I think he could use some glasses and hearing aids. Oh, and new pants..
Still my favorite Arkham Game even though Origins, Asylum and Knight are just as fantastic. Edit: I never realized that Azreal watches you in the beginning of the game
