This remains one of the best games ever made. The Joker's Carnival challenge is what made the game for me. The story was fantastic too. Ra's al ghul became my favorite villain because of this game.

Arkham City is my favourite game by far. As a huge batman fan, I am in love with this game. The villains are amazing, the story is beautiful, and I was so mad when I finished it because I just wanted to keep playing it forever. I've replayed this game at least 10 times. It is stunning. The riddler side mission is actually more time consuming than the main story. It took me almost half a year to complete it the first time! All in all it is an amazing game and everyone should play it - batman fan or not.

The boss battles in this game were so cool, my personal favorite was with Mr. Freeze.

Batman: Hush is my favorite Batman story. It's actually kind of similar to the Arkham games in that it justifies having a crap-ton of villains in a logical way. Also, the artwork by Jim Lee is the best you'll ever see in a comic book.

There are so many Batman stories out there that I love; from the killing joke, to the newest Batman Endgame. But.. if I had to choose... I'd go with the entire No Man's Land arc.

Arkham City has, for me, the best story of the saga.

Ok, I loved the game. The graphics were awesome, the tech was awesome and it was smooth game play. However, the thing that I didn't like was the fact that Hugo Strange was revealed to be the puppet of Ra's al Ghul. Strange was scary as a villain and I was antsy to see Batman take him down. But in came Ra's al Ghul and stole the thunder. He's a cool villain and all in the Batman universe but he's been used so many times that I was getting sick of it. I was fine with the Joker storyline actually.

My Dad showed in on PS3, in fact it was the first game I ever played. So nostalgic, good. So much stuff to do and amazing story.

My only gripes are that there weren't any of those Batcaves that Bruce secretly built. Yes, in the comics Bruce did build Batcaves in the area that would've been Arkham City. And another problem that the main story has is that it's a little short. I also feel Robin could've been used more. Other than that, Batman: Arkham City is my favorite game ever. I also loved Arkham Asylum and Arkham Origins. I was disappointed by Arkham Knight.

I get that it's stupid that there's no Robin/Nightwing free roam, but I don't think it should detract from the actual game score.

from the old 1992 series, The Clock King , any episode with the Riddler , it's hard to pick from the 1997 new look series : Over the edge , You scratch my back and Old Wounds all 3 episodes are from The New Batman Adventures , wich i think ended way too soon considering Paul Dini and Bruce Timm were getting VERY consistend at doing good Batman episodes, i love the old 1992-1995 animated series, but the new version was just amazing. as for Batman Beyond : Rebirth part 1 made me cry

I personally liked AC's gameplay a good bit better mainly because of the sidequests like the idenity thief, deadshot, and your actually given a really good reason to do all the riddler challenges.

The only thing I didn't like about this game was that my favorite villain, the Scarecrow, wasn't in it

Heart of Ice. Probably one of the best love stories ever!

I bought the GOTY edition on Steam not too long ago for only 7.50€, and I think I played through it in one week. I was completely addicted to it, and that only happends to me when I really like a game. Now I still have the Harly Quinns Revenge DLC and a lot of secrets to do. Love it!

My favorite Batman story is probably the Heart of Ice or Robin's Reckoning from the Animated series. I say Dark Knight Returns, Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Knightfall, and Hush are my favorite comic book story arcs.

When I was a kid, I love the Batman mad love story(comic and animated episode)

And I thought the frequent side quests were overwhelming at first, but I grew to be alright with that. They do keep you busy and add to the Batman gaming experience, but they do distract you from the main story, which if you completed on its own would not take very long. I did like the Joker's story in this one and the twist at the end, but I wish both this and other plotlines had been developed more. Still, the positives easily outweigh the negatives and it is a must-own.

My only gripes with the game were no Scarecrow (Liked the inmates' references to him though), and would have liked more Two-Face. Fave batman story-Way too difficult. Would probably be one of the Animated Series eps though. The Man Who Killed Batman, The Laughing Fish, Almost Got 'Im, too many others to name. Wish the third volume of TAS was available here in the UK though...

As much as I like some stuff like Year One or TAS,my All-Time Batman related thing is the graphic novel A Serious Night on Serious Earth I'm not even a huge Grant Morrison fan,but that Dave Mckean art...oh Lordy.

I just found that pressing the left and right mouse buttons result in an array of different animations. It made me feel that I was just pressing buttons and not really in control of my character. Don't get me wrong it looks great and Shiny, Shiny, Shiny, but there are many games that have far better gameplay where you really are in control of your character. Rather, in Batman, the game really plays you and Batman does all this cool stuff that you just aren't in control of.

I know I'm like 8 years late just got return to Arkham cause it's cheap and it's been awhile since I played city, and well quarantine. Anyway if you read these still wondering you say do 5 o the side missions to get one of the best things in the game are you talking about the sequencer to help break codes or am I missing something? not really, but it would help, mainly cause it teaches you the basics which is important because you start arkham city with all the gadgets you acquire in the first game, and you're expected to know how to use them

The Batman: Hush and Batman: The Long Halloween are my two favorite. The Long Halloween shows the young Batman still honing all of his skills, and Hush shows the Batman we see in the Arkham games: The worlds greatest detective, and just the best he or any other human being can be.

I agree with Jeremy's gripe about the ground takedown, but I feel like it added a sense of more realism in a situation like that. If in the situation, you, a criminal, and your buddies are being attacked by Batman. You know you have no chance by yourself, so you do whatever it takes to have the advantage of numbers. Thus explaining why enemies in Arkham City will drop whatever they're doing and stop the Batman from taking out their friends.

The Dark Knight Returns is the definitive Batman story. I remember seeing the Animated movie adaptation and it changing my perspective on Batman and superheroes in general. I also love how it was super graphic, I love how Harvey Dent is still Two Face, even though he is " cured ". I love how Batman completely brutalized the Mutant Leader. I love how Frank Miller didn't focus too much on The Joker, ( even though he was in the 3rd issue ). I also loved the final confrontation between Batman and The Joker. The whole thing was fucking amazing and beautiful.

When the story mode ended, that shot of Batman carrying Joker in front of the entire GCPD made me so happy. At the same time, I was a bit sad bc the writers finally killed off the Joker, but they did in the most Joker-est way possible. The journey throughout this game was pure fun. I know I'm 8 years late, but as a middle schooler going into freshman year at the time, Batman Arkham City was and is one of my favorite games of all time along with the Max Payne trilogy.

my fav batman moment? the first time he met superman. when batman is doing work in metropolis and super man uses his x-ray vision on batmans masks and finds out its bruce, after bruce escapes, super man (clark) is sitting at home ready to go to bed and uses his look super far vision and just sees batman staring him down with binoculars turns out he placed a tracer on him thats the first time they found out each others identities

there's so many batman stories i like, The Killing Joke, the Nolan Trilogy, The Dark Knight Returns, Under the Red Hood, there's a lot and so many of them are awesome.

For Batman the animated series I liked Heart of Ice movies that's The Dark Knight and Batman Mask of The Phantasm and Batman 1989. For graphic novel Batman Year One

My favourite Batman story (as of right now) is Batman: White Knight (2017). I mean, I know he's probably not going to see this, considering how old this video is, but if a random person scrolling through the comments section wanted to know, now you do.

I liked the one called trial from the Batman animated series where are the inmates from Arkham Asylum were trying to prove that Batman was the reason for your life of crime and creation, but at the end they find out that they are the reason for creating Batman. Epic

If they make a third though, I'd like a sequel but I understand why they'd do a prequel. Still, the Joker doesn't need or have to be in every game. I'd actually like if they branched out of the Arkham storyline now. It's done, albeit with a few minor loose ends. And include vehicles.

The hush mission was so cool with the build up, but the final part was bad. Cool serial killer mission, cool reveal, but then no fight, and he's just like: see ya batman I'm leaving the city

you get an upgraded grappel. the grapnel boost, that if you charge it it goes fast its the best ability in the game :D

Sometimes I want a nonlinear game that gives me tons of choices and exploration, but somtimes I want a linear game that focuses on plot, setpices, and characters. Whats wrong with liking both? You may not like linear games, but that dosen't make them bad. This coming from someone who likes AC better that AA btw.

Mask of the Phantasm (and most of TAS in general) The Long Halloween Definitely Year One - THE place to start reading the comics! Dark Knight Tilogy is also great, but I thought DKR was a bit lackluster and the voice was terrible of course - you can onlz fully appreciate it if you know the comics anyway :)

Black Mirror. Also, this is the best Batman game ever made. I felt like Batman. I really did. Not many games can make me feel like that, but this one did. You're equal parts stealthy and brutish in this game, much like Batman is, while still being smart and resourceful. Good on Rocksteady. I've gotten about 80+% of the game beaten, with just the Riddler Campaign left to beat. And is that going to be hard. One of these days, I'm just going to have to power through it.

Batman and Robin is my favorite Batman story of all time... Jk, its probably a tie between the Arkham series (specifically Asylum and City, both of which are masterpieces, imo) and the Animated Series, the Dark Knight is also a masterpiece as well (obviously)!

i disagree with the choosing part, because this is not an RPG, you are not building a character, you are playing a character which is already defined, everybody knows what would Batman choose. I would have liked though, to have diferent interrogation techiniques.

Everything about Batman I just love (well except the 2 movies that shall not be named) I feel like everyone has there own story and they portray it uniquely and pretty damn amazingly! I can't speak for the comics though, I've only read a handful of them and a few of the graphic novels

I just recently played through AC and while it is excellent I still had some problems. On the normal difficulty, some boss battles were frustrating and those and other areas I could not figure out how to advance so I looked it up online (that's a more minor flaw in the scope of things but still). Also, the main story is actually kind of short and not very complex, just stretched by appearances by villains, which were cool, but still.

I always loved the "almost got him" episode from Batman: the animated series. Oh, and LOVE the graphic novel "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns". Might sound like a cop out, but hey, it's still epic :)

yeah i agree the ending was shocking, but its like the atmosphere in AS is like night time/bluish feel kinda. the atmosphere in AC is snowy and blank and generic. both games are great regardless

You should totally do a review of Batman: Arkham Origins. It looks sick and definitely a step-up from anything we've seen so far in the arkham games - as well as introducing some more unfamiliar villains like Black Mask and Deathstroke which only hardcore Dc fans will know about.

What's the difference between: PS3, Xbox360, PC and Wii U: Armoured Edition?

if you pay attention the final boss battles in AA and AC resemble that of scenes in episodes of the batman animated series so the real question is have we already seen the final fight of arkham 3?

if you buy the game of the year edition, you get the revenge of harley quinn, robin trilogy and you can be night wing for the riddler challenges. plus download the sick ass batman costumes and catwoman episodes
