I don't know man, it just seemed really hackneyed and superficial. I didn't feel that it fit well even though I love Jason Todd as a character

@@omega1445 they never tried to hide it. The main give away was "Hey pre-order Arkham Knight and get to play as Red-Hood". Like why include him if he wasn't going to be in the game, so it was pretty easy to figure out

@@omega1445 They lied by saying it was completely an original character that we've never seen before. When every one predicted it was Jason Todd.

Its cool yet kinda dumb at the same time. It kinda has the characteristics of a Mary Sue. A character of such unreasonable charisma that total psychos and maniacs (people that simply lack conventional emotional functions) suddenly act sane and good. I personally would like a story of her upbringing as she one by one wins over each villain (as well as her mother obviously).

@@ceresbane in my personal opinion is that a Mary Sue is perfectly fine if the Mary Sue is the antagonist in the story because then that person is an extremely formidable villain.

Only thing that bothers me is that Arkham Knight is another one of those villains who actually believes she is doing the right thing, even though many innocent people died because of her. Her light show caused someone to run over his own brother. I am just so annoyed by those type of characters.

it's ironic, really, the red hood was jokers original alias, before he became the joker, then jason came back and became the red hood. but with this, he was first arkham knight, THEN the red hood, and now someone else stole his former alias,

I mean, at least the comics one is an original character, similar to what Rocksteady promised. The character isn't that original when they put Jason under the mask.

@@nofacedgoldfish6216 Normally the rules with comics, everything falls canon. But in this case, The Arkham Knight was created "Originally" from the video game. And then stolen and butchered the origins to the comics to make it officially"canon". Like they did with Harlet Queen. Doesn't Count

@@johncastle1984 Still, the comic version is closer to what was originally promised. I(and most others) were hoping to see the Batfamily including Jason to fight the "original" character in the game. Originally, the name, "Red Hood" was Jason taunting Joker while hunting him, and to taunt Batman by being his greatest failure. The game butchered it by making him become Red Hood for no reason.

Pretty sure Owlman got manhattened at the end of Darkseid War.

i think i'd prefer if they just took the arkham knight as is and found a way to canonize it, maybe as like another dimension's jason todd like they did with the batman who laughs, the arkham knight as a woman in my head just doesnt have the same punch as todd did, because when i read her lines, i default to jason todd's demeanor and tone, along with the effects the helmet gives him, and to me thats the voice of the arkham knight, thats the sound and persona to his now iconic helmet. Not that it cant be done as someone else, but he was made as such a strong character in his identity to other villains and antiheros we've had that now to present a woman who uses the same suit design but instead uses a sword and shield and on top of it her personality just doesnt stand out to me, she brings down the title of arkham knight. I prefer jason todd's militaristic, pistol weiding, no-bullshit heart-on-his sleeve hardass personality.

I guess it's vaild but all these problems exsisted before. Batman should exist but he does because of a failed system. Like cold the cops handle Mr. Freeze, Posion Ivy, hell the Penguin is just a gangster and the cops can't do anything. Gothem just sucks.

Batman's man thing is organized crime but now all the stories are just batman's personal stuff not the gangsters or villians. @@hosuerodriguez8262 then why doesn't Bruce invest in Gotham's security forces more instead of using his wealth for his past time of "fighting crime"? He has PTSD over his parents death and takes it out in brutal fashion on any thug. Bruce himself explains it in "cold days". He is no different than the masked criminals he beats up, he just uses their crime as an excuse. He ignores the law and constitution all the same.

That's the point, we weren't given the bait and switch like in the game where we were promised an original villain only for it to be revealed to just be Jason.

I prefer this version, tbh. Arkham Knight and Red Hood were advertised separately, giving the audience a false hope that the Batfamily(including Jason) would team up against Arkham Knight. They even said that Arkham Knight is an "original" character. Jason isn't an original character. This version fits that better.

Redsiren would you like it better for them to say Arkham Knight is Red hood? I kind of wouldn’t like a original character in Batman Arkham knight as I don’t like those kind of things for some reason.

Redsiren I guess they didn’t want people figuring out who he was before the game came out for people can get the game to find out or confirm their suspicions on who the ArkHAM knight was

Redsiren If they used an original character then the connection to Batman wouldn’t have been as great. Sure you can argue Jason was just shoehorned in, but I think it makes sense that it should have been Jason with the promise of an “original character” so that way people who didn’t immediately say it’s Jason, would actually see the reveal in a positive light, or to confirm the theories. Point is they said he was original because if they said it was Jason, it would have ruined the point of the reveal.

You would be correct, there isn't as many female villains as there are male villains in DC. Although there are quite a few female villains in Wonder Woman.

Late reply but I agree. Your comment points the reason why her vision doesn’t make sense to me. Her actions contradict what she says/intends, so it just kinda ruined the story for me. She’s better off just saying she’s bitter against Batman and she wants him to suffer by attacking Gotham.

Alex Ghost the Arkham Knight being Damien would have been an AMAZING CONCEPT! How have I never thought about that? Maybe he was seeking revenge on Batman for killing his Grandfather and allowing his Mother to die.
