Batman Arkham Shadow - Return to Form or Too Little Too Late? 

I hope you're right and this does open the door for more Batman Arkham games on consoles! An Arkham origins sequel with Robin would be amazing it could also have the origin of Two-Face and the return of the batmobile gameplay (without the tank mode)

The reason why most people write it off or dismiss it are because one, VR technology despite it being a while is incredibly limited in terms of how much one can enjoy great content from it (especially compared to PC & consoles). Adding to that the pretty expensive pricing to VR, it all just comes off as something that's way too expensive for most folks, compared to what's provided. Two; there is that question in which "Who asked for this?" It's not like Arkham VR was a massive success like the 4 Batman Arkham games were. I'd imagine people would have a much better response had this been a AAA Batman PC & console game, even though the fans' faith in the franchise have been massively shaken with SSKTJL at this point. Probably folly of WB to begin with to think that this Shadows will be a commercial success. Like it was the case with VR, I'd imagine most will just end up watching youtube video walkthroughs, instead of actually getting a VR headset to play it. As for this opening doors for future Batman games, who knows? Perhaps it will. It's gonna be interesting to find out.

I dont have a vr headset so the only way i will engage with this will just be watching a lests play of it on RU-vid. Not to rain on anyones parade but the reason why im disapointed by Arkham shadow is just the vr nature of it i know vr games have progresed since 2016 but im just not into them i wanted a fully fledged console Arkham game not a vr spin of, if people are exited for Arkham Shadow i hope you enjoy it but its just not what i wanted from this franchise. I would personaly love to see a Batman Beyond game set in the Arkhamverse that has so much potential As for other Dc heros getting their own games i would love to see a Blue Beetle game i think Jaimes Scarab powers would translate over really well into a third person action adventure game

More small scale lore as these VR games tend to be. Another Batman Arkham VR situation where it’s cool for one day for the novelty, but nothing that will leave a long serious impression. Yay. This game toyed our emotions. Lol It is cool we have a brand new Batman Arkham anything though. Maybe this entry will weigh a deeper meaning for more games going forward. I want an entire reboot personally.

The only thing that can make this a good Batman game is if it's not like Arkham VR which is more like a Batman experience this game needs to play like Batman Arkham Knight City Origins but in VR that's what could make this a god tier Batman game like Predator moments in VR could be cool combat I know it's crazy but it should it zooms out a VR to third person and you play like a traditional Batman game I don't think anyone would have a problem with that

Alot of people seem to think vr is still in its 2016 era, this game wont be a 2 hour demo, and this game has been cooking for 4 plus years so i have very high hopes. if previously released meta exclusives are anything to go by, it will be great. Also, assassins creed nexus was a 12+ hour game with great side content, huge level designs and great stealth gameplay. I think people really need to give this game a chance

It's not rocksteady. VR also deserves a Batman game. There. Problem solved.

They love hurting the fans at this point. They give us hope so we buy this trash. I’m not hopeful at all and I wish that wasn’t the case

Why can't we just get games on other characters.

James gunn said there was more plans for Arkham Batman guess this one of the things he meant
