Imagine Batman wearing the mask. Infinitely more dangerous than Green Lantern Batman, and less than zero restrictions on how and when to use the power.

Imagine if the Joker was able to acquire the Mask. There'd be no stopping him.

There is actually a crossover comic where the Joker was wearing the Mask and he was convinced to take the Mask off by telling him he wasn't funny anymore.

Batman made a mistake assuming the Mask has a connection to the Toon Force. It just appears that way because of its most prominent wearer Stanley Ipkiss.

Contingency Plan Code: Fury Subject: Christine A red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury, Christine is a sentient automobile. If secondhand accounts are to be believed, the day it rolled off the assembly line it injured one worker by slamming its hood shut on the worker's hand, and killed another in an act of revenge for smoking inside it and dropping cigarette ash on its seats. Although incapable of speech, it does a high degree of autonomy, capable of playing specific songs on its radio at any given time, being able to open and close its doors at will, control its seats, and even self driving. Some accounts suggest it is possessed by the spirit of its original owner, Roland LeBay, while others that it is simply possessed by an evil spirit. Christine appears to have some sort of influence over people, as its second owner, Arnold Cunningham, underwent a transformation from nerdy high school student to 1950s greaser in both appearance and attitude as the car was fixed over time. Christine is also capable of self-restoration, as accounts of it being vandalized and wrecked by a group of teenagers, and even being partially crushed by a bulldozer, both seem to indicate that to a point, it is capable of regeneration. Since damage to Christine may not be permanent, long term containment of the automobile is most likely the best course of action for my contingency plan. Although it is capable of regeneration and self-driving, Christine is still for all intents and purposes, an automobile. Tricking it into driving into a deep enough pit, and then covering or sealing said pit should provide a more than adequate means of containment for Christine. A Hard metal material, at least one foot thick, with walls having 90 degree angles, should prevent Christine from escaping. While this pit does not need to be huge, a depth of at least 12 feet should be enough to guarantee that Christine cannot escape the pit. Once Christine is isolated and away from human beings, any threat from this automobile can be considered eliminated, and apart from occasional monitoring, will not require any further action beyond this point.

I feel like this should have been a much longer episode. You didn't talk about the other holders of the Mask. The name should have been Big Head. It would have nice to have mentions of Lobo's adventure with it.

There has been a crossover where Bats actually fought Big Head (the COMIC version of the mask - basically a psychotic, murderous monster), and to make matters worse the wearer of the Mask was none other than the Joker. Even with the help of detective Kellaway, Big Head's standard opponent, he was only able to take out him by stating that he was NOT funny - to which he promptly manifested a VERY angry second head that ripped off the Mask and tossed it away. Apparently, Joker takes his reputation as Clown Prince of crime very seriously, and sees the childish antics of the Mask as very, very demeaning. In the end, the Mask was taken away by Kellaway, and given to the only person that can wear it and not use its power for evil... the corpse of Stanley Ipkiss.

I'd love to see Batman's contigency plan for the different Servants in Fate Stay Night. This includes Saber: Artoria Pendragon, Archer: Emiya, Lancer: Cu Chulainn, Rider: Medusa, Caster: Medea, Assassin: Sasaki Kojiro and Cursed Arm, and Berserker: Heracles, with Gilgamesh as a bonus.

I seriously doubt that Batman could contain the mask. He could put it in the most secire location he possibly could and I would give it a month, at best, before the mask finds a new wearer.

Long as Batman keeps the mask away from joker,or the flash’s enemy the trickster even Klarion the witch boy. But Batman should keep the mask as a very last resort for someone good who can use it one day. Also Batman’s next contingency plan should be about M.O.D.O.K. Which stands for mental organism design only for killing.

And I'd abolutely love to read a story in which Batman decides to investigate the case behind the breakdowns that led to the existence of the Phantom Thieves. And I'd like him to do it with his wits alone. No Batsuit, no gadgets. Just him and his detective skills only.

I get some DIP. It's funny that whenever Toon force wielders come into play. No one thinks of getting DIP. It kills toons, rendering all their abilities null and void. I'm sure Batman can repurpose the DIP to only take away the toon force while leaving the wield alive.

If you go by the comics or cartoon. There's Walter an individual impervious to the Mask and who is strong enough to actually hold his own against the Mask.

Drawing from the comics as well as the show and film means the Mask uses Toon Force and Hammer Space. Something akin to several amps of electricity could knock the user unconscious (as in the case of Dr Neumann) or inducing sleep (after Stanley falls asleep) but it has to take the person by surprise. The Mask is literally unstoppable being a high level user of Toon Force. I highly doubt appealing to The Mask rationally works, you would need to out zany him which is nigh impossible. Opposing Toon Force with Toon Force is the only defence. But the more zany and wacky you are, the more powerful Toon Force is. So yeah, you will need to make things up on the fly and be random and chaotic as The Mask.

That was pretty good, but focused solely on the movie version of The Mask. The original comic series the movie was based off, was a lot darker and The Mask from that would probably need a somewhat modified contingency plan.

Have to nitpick. The mask can be removed by others. Stanley took it off of Milo and knowing his dog's habit of refusing to let go of the frisbee and keys, I doubt he'd forfeit the mask so easily.
