This is a compilation of all the deleted scenes from Batman Forever. I've also uploaded versions with music here • Batman Forever Unseen ... Check out my Batman Forever blog www.1995batman.com for more content.
Warner Bros: Batman Returns was too dark, we barely sold any toys because of it's dark tone. Schumacher what do got for us? Joel Schumacher shows them the original cut of Batman Forever. Warner Bros: Holy shit, water it down, water it down!
I genuinely love Val Kilmer as Batman. He was great as Batman and an equally great Bruce Wayne, showing us how his revenge ruined him to the point of becoming someone you feel sorry for.
When i was a kid, i seen the photo pic of this scene 12:53 hang on the wall photo scene shot outside the theater, and i was REALLY EXCITED to see that scene (But i realized then it was a deleted scene), and now 15 YEARS LATER i can watch it on RU-vid, life is something huh?? 😁😁😁😁
Shame this doesn't feature the Claw Island development and the Riddler beating the security guard with his cane. I completed the sticker album back in the day and always wanted to see that!!
Kenneth Frequency has to be an REM reference and their song “What’s the frequency Kenneth?” Which was inspired by an incident where News Anchor Dan Rather was attacked by a guy who kept screaming at him “What’s the frequency Kenneth!?”
Yeah it's tricky. They’re good but they do slow the movie down a bit - particularly the giant bat scene. If you want to see them edited back in search for the "Batman Forever Virtual Worprint" on google.
I don't really see how the connection is made between a giant (I guess hallucinated) bat, and Bruce not feeling guilty over his parents death...doesn't quite add up. If anything I think it all would just confuse the story, after all it did say Bruce wanted to see a cartoon( presumably at the same theatre). 8n which case he should still feel guilty.
@@talesfromtheclassroom like I already posted... " I get that. However, I doubt the audience would have come to that conclusion. I think most people would have interpreted it as Bruce felt guilt about the murder of his parents so he imagined a giant nightmarish bat to torment himself. Until now, when he understands and embraces his fear."
9:49 Bruce: What’s in there? Alfred: Only what to take with you. Alfred: That place is strong with the dark side of the force… in you must go. Your weapons, you will not need them.
I can understand why that final scene was deleted. The giant bat was a big risk, could have come off as either too cheesy or too nightmarish. The subplot about Bruce feeling guilty over his parents death was interesting, added drama and depth, but seems confusing, why would he have decided to fight crime if he blamed himself.
Well, I think the idea is that, in his mind, if he hadn't wanted to go to see a movie his parents wouldn't have been there to be murdered. So he fights crime for revenge and to absolve himself of the guilt that he feels.
@@gazchap I get that. However, I doubt the audience would have come to that conclusion. I think most people would have interpreted it as Bruce felt guilt about the murder of his parents so he imagined a giant nightmarish bat to torment himself. Until now, when he understands and embraces his fear.
How much better the tone and total final product of this movie would have been if these scenes were left in, the score less cartoon-ish, and less bright neon lights.
These extra scenes would help the movie so much. Only down side is that two face and riddler still have that over the top approach that kill certain scenes. If Tommy Lee Jones stuck with that attitude from the opening line it would have been a good contrast to Jim Carey
Good news there is a 3 hr darker version of batman forever minus the camp. HBO max Schumachers first cut was in line with the darker burton films with more psychosis and character development.... no drive through. Wb had other plans...and re-edited it to sell happy meals and more toys for family friendly. .. And affleck and keaton in flash movie. They are back... #Releasetheschumachercut
I want to write that my name is Josh Tate and I'm writing that the year 2024 will be the 35th anniversary of Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film but it will also be Batman's 85th anniversary year too..
Can't help. I've looked but can't figure it out. Movie's often use real life newscaster (like Robocop) but that guy is so over the top he must be an actor.
Ya, its an interesting visual but a bit too much, however, they could have kept the subplot about Bruce feeling guilty for his parents death, just get rid of the giant bat stuff.
@@1995Batman, i don't understand why Joel Schumacher considered using a stuntman to replace Val Kilmer in that scene. As a deleted scene, it was poorly executed.
The worst batman character actors, worst actors chosen for the roles (except Val Kilmer that guy a bad ass), and director for the movie. Joel should have stuck to what works a lost boys sequel.
