While the character has fluctuated in silliness (Golden Age Joker was downright serious, Romero's Joker was more a harmless prankster, etc), he is almost always treated as a serious threat, and his sense of humor is offset by his murdering and torturing people.

Arkham Knight would have been the best if the villains were better, actual boss battles, and at least half the time being forced in the bat tank be destroyed. Arkham City is the only Arkham game to have good boss battles. Origins just hurt your hand cause it required you to hit the same button over and over again.

About the Arkham Knight, the designs were cool, yes, I acknowledge it, but it wasn't that realistic as the others in the series. There were somewhat varied suits for the militia, especially the commanders, and some really cool designs for the special units, like the Brutes, Mini-gunners, the ninjas and the blue wired "bat-vision invisible" suit units. But the rest lacks, like the garbage cleaners of Two-Face, cool concept, but all of Two-Face thugs needed these uniforms? I would think just for some operations (the bank robberies), but what about in normal suits? Then we saw the Penguin Bludhaven biker gang. Here I got sad (subjective opinion), I didn't got the "mark" of Penguin, surely some got the logo, but it was too discreet, even Penguin himself looked detached from the group, sporting more of an european style of gangster (Bald, with his dirty dress shirt with the sleeves pulled up, tired for work and the iconic cigar), for me it would be kept as the design of the normal factionless thugs. Talking about those, almost all had an utility vest, and other protections. I didn't imagined they got a share from Arkham knight's funding. I thought some ragged hoodies or even some stolen clothes, but they looked better equipped than the Penguin's biker gang. I saw some good sad thugs in the Prophet's gang, or the Croc mission. The Harley's thugs didn't change much, but for me it didn't bother, since it maintained the core of Harley's suit. Well, the dlc's really got some improvements in some of the thugs outfits, like in the Robin episode, or Catwoman burglary. Really like the two assassin's outfits, same but different, really cool designs there. And also in the "A Matter of Family", those Joker thugs reminded me of the Origins multiplayer customization.

Another thing that was clever was what I'll call the "fusion" costumes worn in Arkham City by thugs who had switched sides over the course of the story. You might see, for example, former Two-Face goons who also had Penguin designs because you took out Two-Face earlier in the story, or you might seen Penguin/Joker fusion thugs because you took Penguin down and his minions moved over to Joker.

The thing that ruined arkham knight for me was the overuse of the bat tank it makes like 75% of the game they should have called it Batman Arkham Tank

TruGouki There's still a good fan base around the game. I personally like it the most. I liked the multiplayer in it too. I wish they would have kept it in Arkham Knight.

nukehobo They couldn't do Multiplayer, these games were always made to be single player. Monteral decided to include Multiplayer in origins (which is underrated imo), alright cool - but that doesn't mean rocksteady will go against their single player esque, in favor of a Multiplayer that wasn't very popular. Rocksteady trilogy will always be a single player base game
