My favorite scene, I think it amazing how when I watched this movie as a boy I didn't see any humor in this scene and was just freaked out by it, now I think it's one of the funniest movie scenes ever lol.
Agree it's the best scene haha. The comic timing and everything. The violence in this movie made me uneasy as a kid but I did appreciate the sarcasm/dark humor of this scene and remember trying to focus on that part to override my disturbed-ness about the blood lol. And through the years that part always stuck out the most! I want to use this line on the next person who sasses me (though....I'd have to also bite them for the punchline to work lol)
"A LITTLE HOT UNDER THE COLLAR, LOL!!" and "OH THERE'LL BE A HOT TIME IN THE OLD TOWN TONIGHT!! LOL!!! -Joker All this crazy shit falls into place in a Tim Burton movie
This scene is amazing, the timing is perfect! I love the anticipation and the feeling that "he is just threatening him, they will not show it. It would be too violent", and then, Bang! Right in your face! The dark humor here is superb!
Haha omg that was nasty. My parents hated him but man my brother and I loved this villain a lot he's so funny and has a very dark sense of humor. What a great actor. Batman 1989 and Batman Returns best Batman movies in the world. Long live my good old childhood and everyone else who was born in the 1990s also.
To this day, this scene makes my sick ass laugh maniacally. Everything about it is utterly hilarious. The insult towards penguin, the mocking laugh penguin does, the waiting in suspense after he says “my nose could be gushing blood”, and then him quickly biting the guy’s nose causing blood to gush everywhere. I’m not sure whether or not Tim Burton meant for the scene to be this much of a laugh riot, but it’s truly comedic gold!
This is the movie that showed Hollywood superhero films could be dark as hell. Thank this movie for all the better superhero movies you have watched in the last 20 years.
@@Smudgeroon74 I think Tim Burton’s 1989 film was the best one. I think Dark Knight was overrated. But I would love see a Batman movie feature Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker
I hate the part when the penguin bite Josh nose like that it always scared me ever since I watch this movie when I was a kid. And still scared me as a adult.
It´s because it´s completely unexpected at first view. A lot of modern horror movie makers unfortunately don´t know that their movies would be scarier if they teased their audience more before the gore starts.
