Alfred: "The whole world knows the identity of Batman sir, its over" Bruce: "Not yet, Riddler has hidden trophies all over the city. I need to find them all" Alfred: "....."
@@rossfowler7530 I agree but there are other options on how he got his tech. Either it is somebody rich who isn't Bruce Wayne. Or Batman is sponsered by somebody rich. But I guess Bruce being missing for those years. If you connect the dots then it is obviously Bruce. But still the high tech doesn't neccerily give away his indentity.
@@drlukas4242 personally I like the militia/thugs theories on his identity you can randomly hear. one says something like "Batman must be backed by the government. think about it, Gotham crime has been out of control for years, they don't wanna enact martial law and they can't trust GCPD, so Batman must be some kind of black op to fight crime off the books." then after Bruce's identity is revealed: "so he's just some rich guy? are you serious? I thought for sure he'd be some ex special forces or something. this is ridiculous." I'm paraphrasing obviously lol.
@@drlukas4242 There was a moment in the comics that was explained by Lucius to Clark, who was investigating, that Batman stole the tech from his company. Lucius never made it a big deal about it because "the tech is being used to save lives," then he stated that the insurance company help reimburse for the stolen tech, so they're not losing any profit. Now here's the kicker, Bruce Wayne privately owns and funds the insurance company, so pretty much Batman is buying his own stuff from the company that he owns.
I like how even after unmasking Batman still looked intimidating. Bruce's face was completely emotionless the entire time and made the impression like he's looking through scarecrow rather than at him
for people who don't know the context of the dream sequence is that scarecrows fear toxin basically cured batman of the joker disease which he contracted from the previous game and in this game batman was slowly turning into joker
It actually goes even further then that. Batman's greatest fear was turning into the Joker thanks to his infection in Arkham City. Batman's constant exposure to fear toxin in this game only strengthen that fear allowing the Joker personality to emerge. When Scarecrow injects Batman with the fear toxin it causes Batman's greatest fear to come true which is the Joker personality taking over him. And that's when the Scarecrow screws up because when he injects him a second time he is actually exposing the Joker personality to it's greatest fear which is being forgotten. Which allows Batman to overpower the Joker personality and make that fear come true locking the Joker personality away inside his mind never to be free again.
If you think about it, Joker wasn't immune to the toxin and neither was Bruce. They were both subjected to each others fears inside their head and cancelled each other out, Batman's fear was Joker taking over and Joker's fear was Batman (and being forgotten), leaving Batman to ultimately take control.
The truly scary part is that the Joker did win in the end. He took full control of Bruce's body defeating all his mental barriers after Scarecrow's first dose and he was ready to release him right there, not knowing of course the Joker was already out. He injected him the second dose out of pure frustration as he was confused by Bruce's (Joker) maniacal laughter and thus allowing Batman to fight back and reclaim his body. That one stroke of luck when Joker inadvertently plotted his own downfall by making Scarecrow administer him a second dose before setting him free was crucial.
Bruce was afraid of becoming Joker, and so the Joker took over. The Joker was afraid of Batman abandoning him, and so Batman came back and left Joker to rot in his mind. Batman was afraid of NOTHING.
@@TsuriaDragon that's a trauma at best, but one he has already overcame by seeing his new bat family well, in origins he was terrified when Alfred had cardiac arrest but in arkham knight his parents' passing is a mix of a sad memory and motivation to keep fighting, Jason being back and recovering from arkham was a huge boost too
Interesting thing is that when people are afraid, their pupil of the eye widens. When the Bruce's eyes change from green to blue, his pupil gets smaller. Which means Joker in his body was actually afraid, and Batman is not afraid at all.
Watching the end of this video hits very hard right now. There will never be another like you Mr. Kevin Conroy. You were and will always be Batman! Rest In Peace. 💔
He didn't die in SS, that's his plan, to stop his heart and brain for a minute to get out of the mind control It's his plan, it's batman's plan. He has everything under control all the time
In my opinion, what many people don't realize is that Batman has never been scared to be exposed. He's the f*cking Bruce Wayne anyway. Still one of the most powerful person in Gotham, even in the world. Bruce Wayne identity gives him some degree of "immunity". even in the face of Law (if he is brought to Justice).
Its not about that. Its about fear. Batman is an unknown entity, people fear that, they have no idea what he is. When unmasked its just some rich dude in a suit. Not that scary.
@@Cyborg_Lenin people don't know where he is, when he will be there or anything of the sort. The moment you lose that anonimity. Well all the criminals will be working around bruce wayne's schedule. Plus the theatrics of it.
This game wasnt perfect but as a whole it was an incredible Batman story. Hamill, Conroy, the whole thing was amazing. Certains parts off the game I cant stand but other than that its my favorite batman game ever
for me the worst part in all Batman related media is the overuse of the Joker. other villains in Batman's rogue gallery get overshadowed because of him.
Story is fantastic but them damn bat mobile fights Just so much batmobile fighting other than that still. A good game Arkham city my fav Batman origins amazing boss fights on hard mode This one to.end the story of batman 🍰
idk maybe. Better graphics. Better lip syncing. Better Sound effects. Gloomier city. Cooler parts of the city. Better faces. Better fight styles. Darker stories. Way more gore (that would be cool). And overall, more fluidity.
I just fucking realized, this scene starts exactly like the first cutscene of batman Arkham Asylum. The camera close to the statue of the angel, and descending to the streets with a vehicle coming in high velocity... Going into Arkham Asylum, passing the sign, Batman was driving, now, he is the one trapped... It's literally a throwback to how it began, and how it will end...
@@zoxyy.1x in the beginning it was Batman keeping joker in his trunk. Now it seems like Batman who kept in trunk, but it actually still joker, because of Batman being exposed to infection
The first person shooter parts of this was actually real good. I would have played it if it was its own game. The gunplay was decent, even when using a gamepad.
when bruce stays emotionless you know he's not snapping back from being batman. "i'm not afraid crane" if he didn't had a plan for this he could still do his job while being on the run
Man imagine how freaked out Scarecrow was when instead of breaking down in fear, Bruce Wayne started laughing manically (he didn't know about the Joker personality).
It would be interesting to imagine he was thinking: "Oh I fucked up I fucked up. Oh God am I gonna die? What the fuck did I do? Joker was bad enough but this is somehow worse, shit shit shit" Or something along those lines. Although I would wanna see what scarecrow would've felt if he released a jokerized Batman out in the world.
Batman tends to be less powerful during cutscenes than during gameplay. An example is Henry Adams ordering him around holding a gun when in gameplay he could have done any number of things to take him down before he shot anyone.
And all that, the rainfall, and story, and all, happened in just one night. So technically it's just a night of rainfall but gameplay makes it last infinitely.
@@enigmaartista2981 I mean in the span of one night it rained endlessly, the city got covered in toxins, then pollen, and then snow (depending on when you do Mr. Freeze's story).
@@andrewbyrne2173 Exactly! - and there's no way his butler/man servant didn't know his boss was going out at night to beat up criminals...what was his name Albert Pennywise...?
If you think it through, thanks to Joker batman got "immune" to the first time SC, applies the toxin, and thanks to SC, Joker got scared and Batman takes back the control of his own mind.
Love the game and have played it at least 5 times but for the love of God could have been a 10 out of 10 but why leave the big boss battles to stupid tank battles such a waste which is why for me it's a 9/10.
@@McCaler Because, just because he lost the mask doesn’t mean he’s not batman anymore. He had a plan just incase, it’s just a persona, he could always make another one.
@@dabob878 it may not be up to the standards of its other siblings in the series and has relied on joker's mental apparition a lot but it is still a good game. just because it has a weaker presence and feel than the others world wise doesn't mean i didn't like it and its conclusion to batman's story and multiple others like mr freeze
@@randomyoutubecommentersecu7639 another one of these annoying ass haters just like those that were hating on amazing Spider-Man . This game is loads of fun and has a really good story behind it. I guess if you’re a “true fan” u probably would find the tiniest of details to cry about but if you’re a decent human you’ll enjoy this.
My favorite part about this is that the Joker in Batman's mind is actually the Arkhamverse's version of the Batman Who Laughs. 3:25 From everyone's perspective in this mental world, this is Batman but with the Joker's personality taken over. From our perspective (and likely Batman's too), this is the Joker. Essentially, the *Batman Who Laughs = The Joker with mind and body of Batman* Unlike in the comics, this Batman Who Laughs calls himself the Joker and thinks he's the original, but reborn in Batman's body.
@@06pag Yeah, but Batman Who Laughs in the comics knows he's Bruce Wayne while the Arkhamverse version thinks he's the actual Joker reborn in Batman's body. Very crazy people.
With the number of times Crane has been injected with his own fear toxin, you'd think he'd have develop some system of preventing himself from being affected by it by now.
Now imagine being the most proficient escape artist in the history of human kind, but without ur belt u can’t escape the bars and break scarecrow in half in a millisecond.
I love how Batman keeps Martha as his password and while in another universe she's the one to be devastated by Bruce's death and Thomas become The dark knight and he's worse 😂 straight up killing and giving 0 fucks 🤣.
The funny thing is that Scarecrow spent the whole game thinking he was the big deal, when his only accomplishment was making Batman almost kill them all.
I always wondered what would have happened if Batman was just a nobody underneath the mask. Would anyone care? Like if no one knew his name but knew his face would it mean anything? Think of it as just a random dude on the street you see.
He will get famous instantly even if his a nobody.. Remember peter Parker on a movie?? His a nobody, but look what happen .. People will care even if you're a nobody behind that mask because of the impact that you made in the city as a vigilante and your track record history.. Even if you're a homeless guy you become instant Celebrity if your identity is revealed to the public, because your the batman behind that mask
@@MrBenedick14 both heroes are famous in their cities for very different reasons. Spidey gives people hope, he makes public appearances often and entertains people with his charisma, people WANT to see him. While Bats dresses all in black and stays in shadows to strike fear into criminals, always serious and unknown, even the people who he saves don't want to cross him. If and when Spidey's identity is revealed, people would admire him more. Because he's a nobody as you said, a guy struggling to keep up on rent, a relateable person doing amazing things. If and when Bats' identity is revealed, people would fear him less, even if he was a random guy because now they know "it's just some random guy" no reason to fear him but it's even worse when it's the rich playboy Bruce Wayne behind the mask. I just love how both have similar moral codes but are very different in almost every other way. My favorite superheroes.
@@thevideocommenter3061 From what I've read, most people hate Spider-man and only the few people who've been helped by him have a positive opinion of him
9:48 - Notice how Jason only shoots _one_ restraint off Bruce. Bruce totally busted through the other one. Pretty interesting to see Bruce could've broken free on his own the whole time, but didn't. Why? Guess we'll never know, but I'm guessing it's because he wanted out and wanted to initiate the Knightfall Protocol.
For most of this scene Scarecrow is only in control because Batman is allowing him to be. He's resigned to die here, having lost hope of being cured of Jokerization, and viewing it as the lesser evil compared to turning into another Joker. But then Scarecrow's fear toxin ironically ends up curing him. So at that point, no reason not to just beat his ass and live.
Scarecrow seeing Bruce just laughing and laughing after being feared would be terrifying. I'd love to see one where he looks like Bruce the whole time and it's just a personality shift.
That whole shooting the stone statues part took me a minute, i was posted in a corner and every time i looked right or left and left any space out of frame another statue popped up but the sequence wouldn't move forward until i let one spawn behind me. It started to get really tense
