Batman v Superman: Super People's Court
Inspired by the release of the new Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice movie, we thought it might be fun to see Batman and Superman go to war in a people's court scene, where their super powers are useless against the honorable Judge Katie. These superheroes may know how to fight crime, but not how to fight the LAW!

Hey guys, a bunch of people have pointed out that a very similar sketch was done by the comedy group Studio C a few weeks ago. We just wanted to let everyone know that we did not intentionally copy this idea from them - we actually plan out most of our videos well over a month in advance and from what we could tell when we came up with it, it hadn't been done yet. We simply thought that since it was titled Batman V Superman (like a court case) it was begging for a People's Court parody sketch and evidently we weren't alone!

With the whole “Can Batman stop a meteor?”, no but, is Cyborg waterproof? Can Aquaman do anything on land? Can the Flash put out a fire without an extinguisher? Super-heroism has always been a strategy game where you deploy your pawns where they’re most useful. Also, the thing about extinction-level events is that they’re rare. A crime wave? A serial killer? A battle for public opinion?: Much more common and much more suited to Batman. Batman may not have superpowers but does he really need them on a planet of 7 billion apes with tools? Apes that kept the Earth safe long before he was born and will continue to do so after he dies?

Yeah, the only one I disagree with was the argument about the contrasts between Gotham and Metropolis because one superhero came into what was a normal city and then you have Gotham a city you were born into where the crime rate is so high it makes the inflation rate of the Great Depression blush

@@scottdoesntmatter4409everything Batman said it's factually true and accurate to reality, Gotham was already a crime infested land ruled by corrupt powerful people, unlike metropolis, you can verify this right now in your mind, name all the villains of metropolis and of Gotham and YOU tell ME, how many of each are HUMAN and in positions of power? And YES Batman is healing Gotham, but it's slower because he just a man in a suit, and his job is just to catch criminals and put them in jail, it's the PEOPLE'S responsibility after that, he's not some all powerful alien god who can fly into the sun or who decides everything on behalf of others

@Conrad Ferrus Luthor is much like Darkside, he has firm grasp on Metropolis and exploits it. Superman manage to work there only like a firefighter. Thx to him there are only fewer causalities on human lives. That's all the difference he manage to make. On the other side you are true, because Batman crushes organised crime, he creates power vacuum and new (and worse) villains are drawn to Gotham city. But the real problem is the Joker. He does not desire control, he wants Gotham to burn in corruption and chaos, what more there are in fact three Jokers not one. The oldest one organised the kill of Bruce's parents because they were bringing hope and trying to improve the city. One is killed...

@Conrad Ferrus You really don't know? Luthor is controlling organised crime, has unshakable status as a billionaire and scientist. Can't stand anyone to be above him - especially someone like Superman. He desire absolute status, control and power. In what way he is different from Darkside? The organised crime in Metropolis is under dictate of Luthor. He don't spoil his own turf. The reason Supes has much less work is because no other real villains mess on Luthor's turf. He must only dwarf some petty criminals and ocassionally Luthor's plot.

I would say that Batman has a superpower. Super intelligence. Consider that it takes a normal person approximately 10 000 hours to master a new skill, then consider how many skills Batman has mastered. Then, consider how young he is. How was Batman able to master so many different skills while also finding the time to run a company, masquerade as a rich playboy during the day and get a world renowned education in just normal people stuff? There's literally not enough hours in the day to master it all. Yet, Batman has. Why? Super Intelligence.

Mr. Mediocre Gamer constant training but mose of all his inability to move on from his parent's death is what makes him this way. Batman has studied psychology and he knows how people tick including criminals and himself, He doesn't move on from the tragic act of desperation simply because it empowers him to become stronger and he started when he was 8 devoting half his time to martial arts and the rest to studying. With this toll on his body and mind he becomes the batman Plus his form of "justice" is his way of compensating for his parent's death that someday Gotham would be rid of crime and no boy would have to kneel in the snow with his dead parents staring at him

I love how superman forgets to mention how, when he fights his enemies, buildings are destroyed killing hundreds. Batman might have a hostage situation go awry once in a while, losing maybe a dozen at most. I'd prefer living in gotham than metropolis. The villains normally aren't super, just crazy, and honestly the female villains are hotter, tho still crazy (looking at you, Ivy).At least I wouldn't have to worry on my walk to work that a building will fall and kill so many people, only for superman to be lauded as a hero the next day.
