On the other hand, both Deadpool and Spiderman have no charisma on changing the tide of a City with their ideology. While Bane put it into reality.. just like now in US. LOL.

@@PhearTherapy For real! The silence makes the dialogue so eerie. Hearing Bane take breathes between certain lines and then his voice almost hissing with some of the dialogue during the battle. Amazing work.
The true reality is that any single one of those punches would either kill, or catastrophically concus anyone. There is no man alive who could take a single hit to the cranium and keep standing up. Not even Mike Tyson could sustain one of those

"You merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man. By then it was nothing to me but blinding." One of the best quotes in any Batman movie.
“You fight like a young man, you don’t hold back” I love how Batman learns throughout the movie that the best way to be a hero is to have fear of losing and dying.
For those who saw The dark knight rises by Christopher Nolan, Nolan Said that the political message of the Dark knight trilogy failed and people didn't understand it. He emphasized that people didn't listen to Bane Message or the league of shadows. Bane He clearly shows that he hates the Western civilization He uses suicide-bombing tactics He was quoted to have said ''the next error of western civilization'' - not the next error of Gotham, but the whole westernized civilization He came from a pit in the Middle-East, where terrorism is around -He hates corruption and decadence -He wants to expose Gotham ( western civilization) to the people and than give them power to decide for themselves where they stand -He views the " criminals" in the society as victims of corrupted system ran by true criminals that belt this environment that produces decadence which produces mental illness and crimes. -He views Batman as protector of the elites and susastiner of a system that has already failed. -He sees Batman as a fake hero who sustains a system that ran by true criminals and attacks the victims of the system ( like the Joker) I think Nolan took some aspects of Middle-Eastern terrorism (often seen by" radical "Muslims) and applied them to Bane. League of Shadows is certainly Al Qaeda to Nolan and he surely doesn't like the system.
It really is. The passion and drive behind his fight has gone. It takes Damn near killing him, breaking his body and putting him in an enescaple prison to put the fight Back in him.
@@3X73RM I've always looked at it as if Bane was confused about what he said (mostly because I never was able to understand Batman when he said that) so he stood there a second confused and then punched him. But now that I know what he says, I agree with what you said.
@@1MinuteFlipDoc i think what he was saying is when people hear "dark knight trilogy" they automatically think Heath and the joker, which is no doubt justified because that performance was legendary; but Tom Hardy's Bane would have probably been considered one of the best movie villains if it was in another trilogy/franchise/etc and not directly after the joker
@ImmaPlantMeaDumbassTree 47 people who only see no other Batman villain than Joker are completely naive. Batman literally has the best villains out of any comic book hero :/
@@Howlingburd19 I think he meant Joker is always represented as Batman's nemesis, while all the others are just ordinary villians, so normally, the joker recieves special treatment.
@@MarvoloSalazar I think he means to say Batman just came out of retirement. It’s almost like In the comics when Batman got warn out by all the other villains and Bane fought him when he was already tired.
Looked more like a tool that shoots off little explosions to distract people. As Bane says, it's a good tool against unsuspecting targets, but they're already engaged in a fight, so using a gadget like that now is just silly.
@@jenki221 Big difference. Bane was very polite in how he said it. You'll learn in life that how you say things can mean the difference between getting a promotion and getting fired.
He was though. Of course it won't work while you had already been discovered and losing a fight. Oh I'm supposed to be frightened that you threw poppers at me then turned out the lights?
When Batman started to yell during the fight, that $hit legit broke me. He never made a sound during othet fights and he was already yelling from frustration and exertion. Damn. 😢
When Bane delivered that line "I didn't see the light until I was already a man but by then it was nothing but BLINDING" Elbowed tf outta Batman, making him fall. Those little gasps Batman made bc he was helpless, Then beat the shit out of his head made me so sick to my stomach to see him like that in the theaters.
How many times does Bruce punch Bane square in the face here, just like in the finale - when Bruce “discovers” Bane’s weakness? Plot hole. I’ve come to appreciate these fights more over time. Bruce dismissed and underestimated Bane, to his detriment.
@@Snorlaxiian Oh yeah? It was “tamer?” You really chugged the Kool-Aid. I’m glad someone appointed you to the position of “Expert.” foh Don’t waste my time again.
“Peace has cost you your strength. Victory has defeated you.” You have to love this quote from Bane. Here, he tells Batman that it wasn’t a villain who defeated him, but his own success. How crushing is that? Even in victory, Bane says that Batman still loses. It brings to mind an old Bill Gates quote from Pirates of Silicon Valley: “Success is a menace, it tricks smart people into thinking they can’t lose."
Lol. My thing is, Batman had been retired for eight years, yet he somehow thought that throwing his suit and cape back on and taking out a couple of goons just automatically makes him a superhero again. Meanwhile banes been training the entire time and has fully committed himself to achieving his goal. Did Bruce really think he’d just come out of retirement and confront a literal monster among men and NOT get his ass whooped??
@BillG Dontjabme ah you think America is your ally. But you merely adopted its ignorance. I was born with it. Brainwashed by it. I didn’t know sanity until We switched leaders but by then we were already corrupted.
Happened to me. I was making 6figures at one point living the life. Then it got all taken away from me. Been trying to bounce back ever since. Problem is I'm not as hungry as I was when I was barely making 20k/yr. 😓 Victory defeated me.
One of the coolest villains of all time - and he got the most laughable death... Biggest mistake in DKR, killing him so early. Miranda Tate was so boring, awful actress, not intimidating at all. And then she just dies out of nothing... I’m sure Nolan regrets what he did with Bane, because he set him up so good, being so terryfing and awesome... and send him out like that... ouf
@@Prabzs123 early compared to the other villains in the Dark Knight series, and other villains in normal movies like that. He died with 30 min to go I think. But they had much more potential to have him have one last battle with Batman. Talia Al Ghul was not interesting at all, and her death scene is one of the worst death scene in big Hollywood movies.
Whoever did the sound effects for this scene has done a brilliant job. - Almost the entire sequence was done with no BGM which make it intense. - You can hear that a beast is approaching batman by the weight of the footsteps while batman's footsteps are almost silent. - Even with the punches you can hear that at first batman's punches are light while bane's punches and kicks have a heavy sound. - As the fight progresses batman realizes that his punches are not doing any damage to Bane, so he goes harder. you can hear that when he is hitting Bane's chest as hard as he can while bane is still unphased by his punches. - When batman shuts off the light you actually also stop hearing the waterfall noise from the background making it eerie. What a masterpiece of a scene.
That's amazing I love when people point out stuff I didn't notice like the water fall sound in this moment is the only ambient sound besides them and then the way he slithers that delivery of a line in the dark and quiet it is very eerie
3:00 I don't know why, but I find most bone chilling is that every punch Bane landed on Batman's mask cracked it more and more. And then to rip half of it off just like that at the end of the fight.
A fun little Batman Begins Easter egg very few people noticed is if you watch the scene were Ra's Al Ghul is training Bruce in the first movie, there are a couple of scenes where Ra's is holding his lapels the exact same way that Bane does in nearly every scene where he's wearing a top - like a schoolkid holding on to his book bag straps. Which if noticed the first time around, immediately tells the viewer that indeed Bane WAS very close to Ra's Al Ghul - so much so that he picked up and copied his habits. He was NOT "excommunicated" as Bruce believed.
@@basedostrichTrue, but that’s too big of a similarity to be a coincidence. Especially since the movie makes it clear Bane and Ra’s Al Ghul were close.
I was today years old when I found out it wasn’t “Patience has cost you your strength.” Ah damn. This changes everything so it instantly makes sense. Thanks for this.
Hollywood really has a problem with Tom Hardy’s face when it comes to a movie Bane Venom Mad Max Dunkirk Now we know what Bane meant when he said “ no one cared who I was until I put on the mask” Tom hardy is an absolute unit
Because he didn’t focus on strategy and just went with brute force. Whereas in the second fight, he used strategy, focusing on disabling Bane’s venom pumps.
I love Tom Hardys delivery at 2:58 of “The shadows betray you, because they belong to me” for 2 seconds his portrayal of Banes voice completely changes and gives some insight in to the head space of the character which makes much more sense considering the reveal later
“You think darkness is your ally. You've merely adapted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was a man and by then it was only blinding.” Best quote of the movie
@@vonnxvilluminati908 bruh that follow up quote gave me chills. That’s such a dark statement he says to a man that is known for putting fear in scary men’s hearts.
The scariest part was seeing Bane toy with Batman. Bane took punches to let Batman wear himself out. Then shut down the punches when he wanted. He taunted Batman constantly. He was in control the whole time. That level of planning, understanding his opponent and confidence is terrifying.
Like when Bane says he is there to fullfill Ra's destiny, Batman loses control and tries to get angry but Bane did keep pushing his buttons and get him off balacne
Those weren’t the same punches. Bruce was stronger and more sure of himself than he was here. That’s the point of the Pit. We see Bruce do exercise and improve his fitness in the time he was there. The Batman we see in the end is a far cry from this broken old man we see here
Notice when Bane said " I didn't see the light until i was already a man" hinted already that he wasn't the child who escaped the pit. Its amazing how we got caught in the action and suspense of his words and the environment that we fail to realize that hint in plain sight.

@d R there are twice as many overweight people than there are starving people, just so you know. And both these groups combined are not the majority, they make up less than one third of the global population
@d R I've seen kids do this. Hell when i was a kid i was climbing coconut trees like a monkey every summer. Cant do it now though. I think fear of falling and me getting old.
@d R most children can do this. It requires determination and a little practice. Unless you're overweight, which ironically, you probably are. Stop being a victim.
As a big time UFC fan, I give credit to the writer of this fight scene. 1. Bane has a steel chin. He took some heavy punches from the Batman in the beginning to weather the early storm. 2. Bane is about 10 pounds heavier but he is faster than Batman. 3. He kicked him in the stomach on stairs. Then ducked under right hook and punched his body. A left hook to body while coming down the stairs followed by 2 more left hooks to the body. The body shots really gassed out Batman. Batman took him down and tried some ground and pound. But Bane was again too strong. He threw him and got back up. He punched him again in the stomach followed by 5 big right hands to the head. These body shots remind me of Stipe Miocic second fight against Cormier. Stipe's left hooks to the body did the job for him.
I'm glad other people noticed that. The complete lack of soundtrack highlights the cold brutality of the fight. No glamour, no epic chorus, just Batman being systematically destroyed. This was a brilliant choice. Nolan is a sorcerer.
The lack of music in this fight is haunting. You don't just hear every blow, you feel them as well. You feel Bruce's desperation. You feel his unwavering zeal. And you feel his heart break when he's lost. Amazing, amazing scene in a great movie
The sound design is great! There's certain moments when ambient noise drops. My favourite part is when batman gets back up, there's the rushing water in the background, but as he charges towards Bane the ambient sound (rushing water) intensifies and abruptly drops when Bane blocks his punch and starts pummeling him. 😍
@@Cross-CutFilms i believe the entire time he wanted to die while its true selina betrayed him i could tell what he really wanted just as alfred said your afraid because you want to
What I love about this scene, is that Batman’s shouts and his grunts are in Bruce Wayne’s voice. It’s one of the only times in the trilogy that Bruce Wayne and Batman feel like the same person
Bane punted him straight in the ribs, even through his suit, a kick to the ribs from a guy like that is gonna fucking hurt. He probably cracked a couple of Bruce's ribs there.
he was completely outmatched and never had a chance. bane casually took him apart. he even walked into Batman's heaviest hits just to show him that he has nothing and is completely powerless. he could of finished him at anytime and only chose to completely smash him when he revealed his actual plan to him just to torture his soul. its fucking brutal and awesome.
@@nepntzerZer he could’ve defeated bane, bane’s mask was supplying him anesthesia so he was numb to pain. The only way to defeat him was to break his mask, but he was protecting his face. Once his mask was broken Batman easily defeated him.

I love that short pause Bane makes after Bruce tells him he was "excommunicated by a gang of psychopaths." It's like it took him a moment to process, _"What did this motherfucker just say to me?"_
i like when he says "victory has defeated you" to me is such an inspiring line, one im still struggling to overcome, as it is a perfect description of what happend to me recently.
Notice how throughout the trilogy Batman nearly never makes a sound when he fights, but he's full-on groaning and grunting loudly in anger, he's lost his discipline, that's the last thing you want your enemies see.
Donnie Castro I knew it was over when Catwoman locked the cage behind him. The realization that he wasn't just looking for Bane...Bane's been looking for him. But you're right...that cry of desperation really showed that Batman wasn't ready for this fight!
Bane forced him to raise his game to another level. His "Spirit" as bane would say was always there but he needed more then that to defeat Bane. Once he broke out of the hell hole he was on a mission to defend Gotham and end Bane.
First of all, you got the quote wrong. Second of all, anybody that lives their life "fighting" doesn't waste time trying to get applause for it on youtube. Sorry, kid.
Fighting in front of your girl is supposed to give you a 50% power boost, but Bane said fighting a man in front of his girl gives him a 100% power boost 😂
Reminds me of when Dooku whooped Anakin in episode 2. Anakin was beastly even back then. Or when Vader whooped Luke. Malak also whooped Revan the 1st time they fought in KOTOR.
I guess. I mean, the MCU has given me plenty of moments where I was genuinely concerned what would happen to the heroes...but, then again, The Avengers don't have a titular protagonist like Batman.
The way Bane speaks each word, not just in this scene, but every time he's on screen, conveys multiple shades of emotion, intent, thought, and conviction. A masterful performance by Tom Hardy.
Tom Hardy as Bane has the exact same quality as Heath Ledger as the Joker where not only are they incredibly into their roles and having fun with them, but every line they have is quotable from start to finish. Both Ledger and Hardy are equally awesome actors and the fact that Ledger is gone is a fucking shame.
This movie is actually better than I remember. The only thing that I find "bad" about it are some of the dialogue that you can barely hear and understand. Im sure i missed a lot great quote because of that stupid audio. And of course that cool but totally ridiculous street fight and bane's anti climactic demise. That thugs had guns jesus, bats should have done something about that first.
@@billclark5055 nope. Batman Begins actually went into the characters' personalities really well and really fleshed out Bruce Wayne's journey the best out of all the live action batman films. Also, the plot mostly made sense. The story to TDKR has several holes in it. Talia AL Ghul's reveal is pretty cool until you realize that her steps to executing this whole thing make no sense.
@@gamemediafan1714 I could have done without her. Bane should have been enemy number one for the whole movie. And the biggest plot hole of all: Where was the pit that the broken Batman was left in, and how did he get back to Gotham? Or was the pit in the outskirts of Gotham the whole time?
0:28 Going to be 100% honest here...if I throw a punch, you catch it, punch me with my own fist while in the middle of giving me a lecture...I'm running away the first chance I get! 🤣 Clearly I'm not ready for the smoke!
so many people seem to hate Tom Hardy's Bane. this is the perfect Bane in my eyes. big, menacing, brute and an intimidating behemoth. Tom Hardy absolutely slayed this role. such an underrated actor, such an underrated movie. thank you Christopher Nolan, for blessing us with, in my opinion, the best trilogy ever.
How can this be the perfect Bane to you when he's really the only Bane that has been on screen with decent writing? The Bane from Batman & Robin doesn't even count considering he was barely in the movie and didn't even have a speaking role.
Fun Fact: Tom Hardy, who plays Bane here, said the most difficult scenes for him were the fights between Bane and Batman. Not because of the physical strain, but because he felt like he was beating his childhood hero. Funny.
Because he didn’t focus on strategy and just went with brute force. Whereas in the second fight, he used strategy, focusing on disabling Bane’s venom pumps.
@@arcticangel1628 I disagree. In this fight, we see Bane grab Bruce's fist and effortlessly make him smack his own face. In the second fight when he does that, Bane is clearly giving everything he has, and Batman is able to hold him off to a draw.
@@wusscake You know that clicking sound you hear in the second whenever Batman punches Bane? Did you ever hear that sound in the first fight? Doesn’t that tell you something?

This scene is so epic and well builted that i often come back and rewatch it. And every single time I'm mesmerized by it. The fight, the lines, the incredulity in the soldiers face. A true masterpiece
"you were ex-communicated by a group of psychopaths" Bane- (thinking very hard about it) it sounds about right but you still gonna have to catch these hands
+Mike TW I'd actually say that the fight is pretty good in my opinion. It's gritty and down to earth with strong emotional ties. If you want pure, crazy, balls to the wall fighting, watch a jackie-chan movie.

One of the most intense and breathtaking hand-to-hand fight I've ever seen in a movie so far. You can perfectly feel a mixture of anger, hate and vengeance through every punch and gaze between them. Nolan is really a master. We should be thankful to him and those few visionary movie directors who proved before anyone else that the cinecomic formula could actually work and convey genuine and one-of-a-kind emotions in theaters. Unfortunately, the film industry is relying too much on the artistic heritage of these masterpieces, and now we're often compelled to "consume" a lot of superhero-related stuff which often turns out to be unnecessary and artistically empty. That's the main point behind this recent wave of nostalgia for more "authorial" directors like Nolan, Raimi or Ang Lee. As people and therefore humans, I think that despite the giant steps in technology and the undeniable, worldwide success of the last movies, we are nonetheless able to perceive the lack of this kind of emotions in the majority of the last superhero movies. I'll never cease to believe that.
The best stories are human stories. Relatable stories. I will echo this sentiment til I die: the people that made the Halo show did not know what made Halo good. The show could have been parallel to this in terms of the great adaptations of all time if they realized that at its core, Halo is a war story about humanity. They needed to tell the story of the human-covenant war through a human lens (the marines). Hats off to Nolan for truly understanding what made Batman a compelling character. I will never forget these movies.
i dont agree. Batman wouldn't have been formidable to bane until he sounded his resolve and was able to escape his own trauma represented in the prison. Bane wouldve been able to beat batman in all the movies because he literally was stronger physically and spiritually.
@@holyscrotum2437 The trauma Bruce was going through in TDKR was a cumulation of years of mourning. In TDK, Bruce was still at the top of his game even after Rachel's immediate death and wasn't crippled until the end of the movie. And he was fighting the Joker, too. The Joker wasn't as spiritually strong as Bane, rather he was as mentally strong as Bruce was
