Batman vs Superman trailer 2.0 [Fan Edit]

A couple years ago, I made a fan-trailer for a Batman vs Superman movie that would star Michael Keaton and Dean Cain. It got a lot of positive reaction on RU-vid, but the one comment I kept hearing over and over was that it didn't seem like much of a "versus" movie... for most of the trailer the heroes are working together, with the versus element only coming into play at the end.
Since that time I have had a lot of ideas of how I would do it differently. I finally decided to revisit the idea and create a new version of it.
This is not really meant to "replace" the original version. Think of it as a second trailer for the same movie, one which reveals more of the "versus" aspect. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm not sure which trailer I loke more. The first one had better audio, but this one had new scenes. Bruce working in the Planet. Actually seeing Oracle at work. A break out at Arkahm Asylum. You did excellent work on both. Wondering what you could do with a Spiderman vs. Daredevil trailer.

holy cow that was freaking great!! I have no idea how many different movies went into that, I even heard a line from Multiplicity ("we're gonna need a cage") Absolutely great work. Very complex, seamless, and well developed. 5 stars for sure! Well done

The best trailer I've seen in this manner! Micheal Keaton's Batman actually looks like he's conversing with Dean Cain's Superman! Everything flows well. Coulda used a different song here and there tho.

Wow, that was MUCH better then the first one. In fact, I was really impressed. There's still a few parts that come off as iffy, but DANG! Okay, seriously, this has been a dream of mine, to see Michael Keaton and Dean Cain as Batman and Superman. To me, the two seemed the most compatible of all the shows in the franchise. I really like the power play going on between the two. Nice job.

Great job again. The editing was much smoother and the scences you picked across films were more compatible with each other - especially when they get introduced to each other - real nice!

Great stuff. I found it kinda funny in the parts where the reporter/whoever says "Superman where are you when we need you?" and Joker says he's washing his tights and you show the clip of him actually doing that.

Even better than the original, and I LOVE the track of Michael Gough as Alfred from "Batman: Knightfall" (and I bet I'm the only one who spotted it too)!

Hm, I don't feel like the editing is as well done in this one! But I do notice the better quality. I liked the Michael Keaton '5 million' part and I still love that you used Desperate Measures clips.

wow, Dude I've been waiting for you to cut a second one of these for friggin' years. Its incredible all the resources you used for this. A 4-season television series, multiple features, the animated shows... just brilliant usage of everything, both audio and video. I loved the Unbreakable theme, it gave a dark tragic edge to the whole piece. Should you do a third it would be cool if you focused moreso on the villains Lex and Joker... Brilliant job once again man, you're very talented.

OMG this is one of the coolest things ive ever seen on youtube....WOW that was a whole lot of editing from different movies. favd...5 stars Michael keaton is the best batman there ever was,and allways will be! oh and dean cain made a decent superman to.

I might be the only 1 who feels this way, but I like how you had the phrase Joker said about tights and you had Superman actually washing his tights. lol That aside, great stuff. Believable.

The only suggestions I would have made would be quick shots of the Riddler and Two-Face escaping, and maybe another Supes villain or two. Oh, kudos for the Dina Meyer as Oracle cameo! :-)

I like how u used the music from unbreakable, it gives the trailer its own unique feel, very good trailer, love some of the scenes used, it would of been cool if batman had made a guest appearence in the Lois and Clark tv show.

This technically is possible, unlike the Keaton/Reeve trailers. Lois & Clark featured the Burtonverse Batmobile in 3x06, it having been stolen from Batman. That episode aired shortly after Batman Forever, where Batman has a new Batmobile. That film referenced Metropolis and it's sequel referenced Superman. Of course, it's not a solid connection, but it does seem like Lois & Clark is loosely connected to the Batman Anthology, and thus takes place in Earth-89 along with the 2004 Catwoman film. The Christopher Reeve/Brandon Routh films take place in Earth-96. Now, that's not to say that DC couldn't decide they're separate.

Warner Bros seriously needs to get this movie made. I'm positive it'll be DC's biggest movie yet. Plus, it'll be a good set up for Justice League. This trailer is great and the movie needs to be made after Man of Steel.

Great job! Not a big fan of Cains Superman, but Keaton IS Batman. I would have loved Keaton's Batman with O'Donnell's Robin. I guess this is the closest I will ever get to a Keaton/O'Donnell team up. THANKS!

@@RonaldoIStheboy As much as I like him with Keaton, I think George Clooney would’ve made the most sense. (For what it’s worth I think Clooney had the potential to be a good Batman, if he’d had a completely different script and director.)

The editing was well done. But Dean Cain Superman would hold a candle to Michael Keaton Batman.Dean’s Superman would more tied the Val Kilmer Batman or George Clooney’s Batman.Christopher Reeve Superman with Keatons Batman makes more sense

Yup, I don’t disagree with you. I made this at the time because I knew the Keaton Batman movies and Lois and Clark both really well and these were the interactions I was able to think of in my head. Lol. Hope that makes sense. My familiarity with the source material primarily drove to these selections. 😊
