Although ToyBiz is the OG and has the unique feature of being an actual two seater, it’ll lose in just about any competition for me because Burton’s Batmobile is definitely NOT a convertible and it would make no sense to be in that universe. Having a canopy is more important to me than any missles, lights, etc. Kenner’s Batmobile takes the cake, but getting a nice one at a reasonable price is virtually impossible. Even with the lack of features, I think Spin Master’s displays quite nice and just picking it up off the shelf was a thrill for me.
...the spin master is a proper 1989 version. He seems to not know about the version based off the Batman returns movie...which technically is Keaton Batmobile too (definitely better than the convertible).
I hate that Spinmaster decided to shrink everything down but charge more...I did buy the Batmobile to go with my Mattel Keaton Batman after seeing this video.
My expenses don't really include toys, but in these cases, i actually CAN afford it. And the flashback to '89 while "playing" with the Batmobile was just as perfect as if expensive collectable.
HAHA YES! Always happy to see some love for spinmaster, these little guys are great! It's a shame the likenesses are off but at $10 a piece, in 4in scale, can't complain too much, especially in a line aimed at children. Great review as always!! and YES I love seein your dad in these! Makes me smile and laugh so much
Its a shame about the plastic wheels on the Batmobile but I like it over all and the proper canopy without paint problems that McFarlane suffers. I picked up both of these for display not play and added a little spray paint (little skill required), they come with Batman mannequins to stuff in the cockpit - aside from play what more could you want? Well worth picking up if you also value space over their larger counter parts.

Iv got tje mcfarlane 89 Batmobile And my spin master 89 Batmobile comes in the mail today i already got the huge batwing from spin master i love every thing about it the one im not getting is mcfarlane batwing to expensive just got about every new keaton batman 89 batman is my altime favorite dont care about the others grew up in late 78 80s
I like the general look of these and it is slightly disappointing for the details and such but we have to remember it is directed to younger kids. And it is sad that they don’t have much cool or fun things as older generations did
Can’t afford the $500 aud batwing. So this is a great alternative. I can afford the $150 aud Batmobile, but I think I’d rather save the money and get this one, plus they will then go together very well.
You should review the deluxe or whatever the name is of the other Spin Master Batmobile, the one that is an RC and has lights and sound! It's on EE, I would love to have that one but it's kind of expensive for this scale, I'm very tempted for that one!
If someone wants to buy me one sure LOL but I think that $200 is a bit too rich for my blood haha let's see if Hot Wheels makes another 1:10 scale like they did with The Batman.
