From their website:
Our cables are built from cast copper terminals using 2 gauge or optional extra heavy duty (XHD) 1/0 (“one-aught”) SAE SGT battery cable for the starter and engine block ground and #6 (or #4 gauge with XHD option) wire for the fuse block or body ground wires. This is larger than the stock wire to lower resistance and improve cranking. A high temp SGX wire is also optional. We seal the connection with heavy wall adhesive lined heat shrink. In the picture at left, compare the thickness of the wires. Note the stock cable doesn’t have any heat shrink sealing the connection. Anti-corrosion bolts and battery washers are also included.
All the positive cables come with a starter lug cover. Covers for the battery terminal ends are available for an extra $5 each.
Fuse block cables are larger wire with heavy duty ends for lower resistance (#4 wire shown).
The stock 2-hole fuse block connector has the battery cable and the alternator wire ganged together. We replace that by separating the wires and putting a heavy duty 90 degree end on each one. Together, the 2 cables work to replace the goofy Jeep 2 hole connector.
The result -A perfect fit!
The Wrangler cable set includes a positive battery cable with starter lug cover, negative battery cable, an alternator cable with fuse link, anti-corrosion battery washers and anti-corrosion battery and terminal ends.

All right now, my wife and I spent some quality time together installing the new cables. We showed off our installation the other day to our friend and mechanic, he was surprised. We rocked it, way easier than we thought. Thanks to your video. Thanks again.

Excellent video! I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler sport, I ordered the battery cables from custom battery cables (although the link is a bit different now). I bought the "Battery Cable Kit for Jeep Wrangler TJ I-6 6 Cyl 4.0L 1997-2006 1ga MIL #13038 - 90-degree" and I also bought the terminal covers separately. Everything fit great. As a side note, for the fuse box connection that had the 90 degree bend, I bent them to about 135 degrees and didn't need to use a dremel to cut out any portion of the fuse box, it fit and the fuse box closes and securely seals. Everything was pretty easy to remove and replace. The hardest part was reaching where the cable connects to the starter, but other than that no problems. The symptoms my Jeep had were mostly related to starting, occasionally (but getting more frequent) I'd have to go and wiggle the negative cable to get the Jeep to start. I also think that my stereo speakers would cut out on one side due to this, but I'm not sure, I'm monitoring if I have that problem anymore though. After installing the new cables everything started up perfectly! Also, for the military grade terminal connectors, they weren't color coded like in the video, but you can easily see what side is beveled and comparing the two you can see one has a smaller hole (for the negative node).

Thanks for the detailed video! My jeep has moments where it seems like the battery died, but in reality i jus tneed to wiggle the positive terminal and it starts up. This obviously isn't a sustainable solution so I plan on doing this job! Hoping the 2000 and the 2004 are the same in wiring locations so I can follow along here! Thanks!

I noticed you don't have a rubber cap on your battery tie down threaded rod end. The story goes, Years ago I had an intermittent misfire problem . I replaced the injector as the trouble engine code pointed out but it only got worse. I traced the wire back to the computer and noticed that the threaded rod for the battery hold down had rubbed its way through the insulation and was shorting out the wire for one of the injectors. Being on the underside of the wiring harnes it could only be spotted after unplugging from the computer . So every time I see a missing cap I point it out as a easy way to avoid any potential grief.

CPO.... you should really loom your new wires, think of ot as inexpensive insurance, they will give first if there's friction between any hard surface and your new wires, otherwise you will find that friction ate through the insulation pretty damn quick before you know it. I make OEM harnesses for a living, it's there for a reason, durability.

Wondering why the battery cables could not connect on the bolt head side, which would enable them to be locked down by the first nut making it even easier to add accessories as you'd simply remove the 2nd nut and would never disturb the cables/battery connection at all.

I give likes to anyone showing new products that are helpful like the post clamps with the side nut Cable battery kits are good aswell For the person that does not like to mess around with making thier own I wanted my own custom cables because i would be doubling my power output And having a 2nd battery So having extra cable for other areas of grounding was needed Some shorter Some even a inch longer I bought 1/0 Awg copper welding cable Copper Lugs And a hammer crimper, shrink tubing and dielectrial grease Alittle electric tape And zip ties even a few of the bolts were changed to stainless .. For jeeps i'm not 100% sure if you can swap one alt for another model of high amps But i found that if you have a base model And a high end model has power seats it normally has a stronger alt that bolts right up to the base model of the same years (it may need a longer pulley belt) Or you can go aftermarket which sometimes is more money

The engine block ground post on my '06 TJ was a PIA during my swap out. It had a reverse torx fitting on the end of it and the post itself spun freely with the two ground ring terminals yanking back on it. Be warned. I didn't have a reverse torx on hand so I cheated with a 5 or 5.5 mm.

HI, I have a 93 ZJ. Question on the fusible link to/going from the battery/alternator, I think you said it was an 8 gauge and the main wire looks like a 4 gauge. Question, is internal inside of heat shrink did you add a butt connector to join (wire to wire), weave and solder, or is there an inline fuse there as well? Thinking it may be the second option, weave the two together and solder, cover with heat shrink. My alternator cable for some reason is pretty short - very tight on connection to battery. Looking at using the approach you highlighted, mine appears to be 4 gauge all the way right now. Thank you.

Any tip for taking off the old grounds from the engine block. Mine are fused together and the entire bolt is turning out of the engine block. They will not separate. I can not remove the entire bolt without damaging the other loom of wires that are grounded to the engine block.. Any tip will be helpful.

LOL... I often wonder that myself. I think I just have people that don't like me and just subscribe to thumb me down. I wish you had do say why. Was it the video quality? Was it the presentation? Omar A. Bilal i figured it out you have to use a wrench to get to the nut that is behind a metal bracket if you follow the neg black battery cable all the way down by the engine you will feel it stop on a metal bracket just behind the metal brack the cable is attached to a nut on the engine block then once located you can feel it from the bottom of the vehicle and stick your arm though to get to it with a wrench it’s tough but once you find the nut you will know what to do
