I’m in the UK and buying a GTS 125 Touring. I’ve done my research, watched endless videos and this is, by far, the best channel for anything Vespa. If I lived in the States I’d be buying from you. Keep up the great work. Phil
Noco is a nice charger, but not incorporating an SAE style plug isn't very "genious" considering there are so many accessories that can plug directly into the battery pigtail that are SAE based (pumps, lights, heated gear, etc.) Good charger, but very limiting for a lot of users.
What is your view on lithium batteries? I know they are a lower capacity, but that it’s safer to run them down to almost empty (unlike lead acid). They also have a very low discharge in storage, and there’s no risk of acid leaks into the scooter. Is there any reason why I wouldn’t want to upgrade to one? They seem quite reasonably priced!
Thanks for your informative videos. Can you tell me is there a "best" way to store a battery after it's fully charged? Do you leave it in the Vespa with the battery terminals connected to the scooter or disconnected from the Vespa and sitting on a shelf?
Leave it connected to one of these chargers, it will continue to "maintain" a fully charged battery so it will be ready to go next time you're ready to ride.
How much inactivity makes putting the battery on a charger advisable? I've got a Primavera 150, and I'm in southern California so it rarely gets much lower than 45 or 50 degrees at night. If the bike is not ridden for a week is it OK without a charger? How about 2 weeks? THANKS!
