I expected the OLED screen to win out, due to the way OLED turns pixels on or off, but was surprised to see it lasting 5.55 hours. Thats pretty impressive stuff. Personally like to play on my Switch OLED at full brightness, and guessing that the battery life would be cut in half. So 2.775 hours-ish at full brightness? That was an excellent video covering all of Nintendo's current hardware to give us a breakdown of the differences in battery life while playing Zelda ToTK. Cheers! 🍻

I just took my switch oled on a road trip to Oregon and it easily lasted over 5.5 hours because I played Zelda TOTK most of the way there.

I think you've just convinced me on the Lite. Been tossing up for well over a month now and battery life was my final reservation. But honestly, nearly 4 hours of gameplay is pretty darn great when you factor in the size and portability. I don't know that an extra 1-2 hours is worth the price hike to the V2 or OLED. Considering I have quite a short attention span I don't think I'd ever even hit 3 hours of gameplay at any given time anyways 😆 Thanks for this video!

If Wifi is turned on Vs. If its turned off makes a difference too. Since Overwatch is an only online game its a bad example. Wifi and Bluetooth drain the battery quicker than anything else

interesting to see that there isn't a monumental difference in battery life between models, excluding v1 cuz that boy stay dying fast lol. An extra hour or two is nice and leaves some comfort there but i don't think it's game breaking as even 3 hours is plenty of time for most people unless you're going on a car ride without a charger (why would you do such a thing)

5 hours of Zelda is crazy basically 6 hours of gameplay is CRAZY. Imagine next system if they do handheld I can imagine them getting a solid 8 hours of gameplay. And that would be perfect for me . I work for 8 hours . Go home eat shower and get some exercise outside and family time . Then I game for 3-8 hours . That’s where the switch will come in handy

my switch lite only gets around 3 hours on totk with low brightness and wifi turned off.

I have a question regarding fps. I want to record footage of my gameplay on both botw and totk, and theirs an option to record in 60fps which makes the recorded file heavier. Is it necessary for quality issues or can i just ignore it and save more room on my external hard drive?

i have the same version OLED.. I have absolutely everything shut off Internet all the settings notifications all are off I put the back light to half and the battery goes from 100% to 40% within two hours.. Playing Zelda same game... I'll tell you exactly once I get there cause I'm still playing but I don't think it's gonna be more than an hour and a half before the battery's dead so in total about 3 1/2 hours it would last... My old switch probably 2 1/2 hours the original one... I live on the road so it's very difficult to charge all the time so I might be returning this that's really not that great battery life

I don't understand, my Switch OLED is from 100%-14% battery 4h and 18min. If it is from 100%-80% it is exactly 1h and 4min. And the settings are WIFI off, brightness and sound set at middle. Thanks for the mega video.
