I spent literally months getting all seven Gold Symbols.... You have no idea how hard that was. Getting most of the Silver Symbols was rather easy, however.
+KoriryuVEX recently started playing through emerald again, so far i have the gold knowledge symbol, the silver guts symbol, and the silver tactics symbol. my team: lvl 59 blaziken, level 58 slaking, lvl 57 manectric, lvl 57 tentacruel, lvl 56 metagross, lvl 55 salamence. wish me luck
to think of it, this song is probably the last battle theme most of us would’ve ever heard back in Gen 3. (at least this is the one for my case, and i agreed with you!) Such an awesome piece to end an era!
It's all opinion, I guess, as I think each track fits each person. Wallace shouldn't have the Frontier Brain theme, and the Frontier Brains shouldn't have Wallace's theme. In terms of sheer quantity of epic though, you can't beat the Champ's theme.
when this theme starts you know you're up against a REAL challenge man how I miss the difficulty of this game, I actually felt a sense of accomplishment when i'd win. literally every main series pokemon game released after Emerald is so easy.
+Alex Gallegos yeah. i beat X and Y in a week. diamond was easy for the most part. emerald was extremely challenging. especially since they had the entire island for the battle frontier
Nope, most people consider Diamond and Pearl one of the harder ones. I personally didn't find them that hard, but Black and White 2 absolutely destroyed me. It got better as the game went on and I had more items, but even after grinding in the Movies, the beginning is so hard-I was constantly getting owned.
@@idain8325 There is one excuse: Like the Battle Maison in ORAS, HGSS's Battle Frontier was copy and pasted. Because Sinnoh got their own BF, Johto can easily have one as well given the assets. XY just had their Battle Tower which was reused for this game. That and mixed with not to mention the explanation given by Masuda as to why we didn't get one in ORAS is why Battle Frontier was absent.
This is one of the most epic boss battle themes because when you get to battle a frontier brain you know shit is going to get to epic levels of realness in some of the most hard battles (not that hard, but still) in all the pokemon games.
I've only ever got a Silver symbol, and it's from the Battle Pike... >_< I was never patient enough to try to make a perfect team and try a dozen times to beat a Frontier. I still had a ton of fun though, and that's all that matters in the end, right?
same here. Lucy's Shuckle has always been a bitch to fight. I remember the first time I beat her. My Flygon got a crit on her Milotic with E-Quake, took it down, and then down went the Shuckle. Not even Super effective moves could've taken it down. You needed something with Taunt to actually take Shuckle down easily.
***** Dude do NOT let Lucy's Shuckle use toxic on you because that thing will stall you down until you die of poison. If toxic works on you, your Pokémon is pretty much screwed.
I remember getting all of the Silver Symbols and showing off to my friends at middle school. I never got the Gold Symbols though. Too bad I can't really show it off since I started a new adventure in Emerald 4 years ago since I transferred all my best Pokémon in Pearl 7 years ago. But in Platinum, I collected all the prints and I got two Gold Prints in Battle Arcade and Battle Castle.
This song...it just sparks up so much nostalgia for one of the greatest Pokemon games…and it’s both intimidating and heroic…it feels like you’re againist a tough opponent but there’s no way you’re going to lose!
Funny story, in Leaf Green I had a level 94 Venasaur. I had not beat the E4 yet. How did I not sweep everything with it? I don't know... I only lost to Koga in oddly, despite it being neutral to my strongest mon, it couldn't be poisoned, and it was around level 50 or so. I sucked at pokemon. Somehow I had, i think, 80+ hours before I beat the E4. Yeah....... I challenged and beat pretty much every trainer with only venasaur. It was level 70 or so when I got to Giovanni... and I got stuck on the last rival fight before victory road. I DON'T GET HOW I WAS SO HORRIBLE!
I remember as a kid I was only able to finish about 3 of the facilities. Probably the most difficulty I've had in Pokemon besides the obvious next hurdle that was the Gen 4 battle frontier
I remember when i was little i got to one of the frontier brains (i think it was the girl in the event with the seviper building) and i shit myself when i heard this theme.
hey, i played 4º and 5º gen, and they hard as they can, i must say that the story battles are harder than emerald, for me, it was harder beat cinthia, N (and alder) and iris, than just steven (or wallace) lance, and blue, but, to say that battle maison is harder (i know, i didnt played gen 6º, but i saw the pokemon of the maidens) than battle frontier... is to be crazy, just crazy, or maybe you didnt fougth with them...
+BBDeathz Would you get outta here?!? There is no way in GIRATINA'S REALM that the Battle Maison harder than the Frontier (in my, and most other people's, honest opinion).
BBDeathz lets see, in piramid, you have to climb thougth 70 floors, if you're unlucky, you'll have to do more tan 100 battles; dojo is a place with just a rule, finish the battle 1vs1 before 3 turns, if that happen, just luck will help you (in a way), you'll need 28 wins for the first figth, and 56 for the second; sierpe, is just what it is, luck, you can go thougth all possible battles, or avoid them all, its just luck on this place, for the first battle just 21 rooms, for the second battle, the little number of 140, battle dome, ok, reaching the top was funny and easy/hard, at least until you get the frontier brain, then, shit becomes real hard 5 tournaments to figth once, 10 for twice; battle factory, well, that was good, i wont say anyting, just 21 battles won, and then 42; battle palace, ok, i'll be honest, i dont believe you if you say you defeated this place, and then you say that battle maison is harder, i just cant, knowing the unfair of this place, nothing more i want to say; and finally the battle tower, 35 for the first battle with the boss, and then 70 for the next one oh, did i mentioned all this have to be on a winning streak, if you dont want to start over again in any of the battle places did you get what i'm talking to, or should i be more specific?
The theme of my nightmares. I managed to get all 7 silver symbols and the gold from the Pike. But nothing compared to the Battle Tower. Fighting Anabel and finally beating her for the silver symbol was one of my proudest moments in Pokémon. I could never get the golds though. It’s so rigged once you get higher up
Well, in X/Y, the later trainers in the Battle Maison have Pokemon with 6 perfect IVs and illegal EV spreads (over 510). We're fucking screwed in the Battle Frontier in OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire.
TheChillarmy We were fucking screwed to begin with. The AI is meant to be absolutely ruthless with impossibly powerful Pokemon, and if what you said is true and now most of the later trainers are illegally EV trained, we have no chance if they Battle Frontier in the remakes.
Douglas Pang But it's possible to defeat them. I gotten Silver Symbols but not the Gold Symbols in Emerald but I got two Gold Prints for Battle Castle and Battle Arcade in Platinum (the rest are Silver print.) In Pearl, I had 56 win streak in Single and Double battles. Hell I faced Palmer on my 49th win streak and beat him with Cresselia, Metagross, and Garchomp (Pearl version) and he used Heatran, Regigigas, and Cresselia.
I prefer this version over Sin-oh, Johto and ORAS Version. The Bass here is most audible and stronger than the later(after 2005) versions. Emerald was truly the ultimate and fullest Pokemon Version of that time, and I belive it Remains still.
II JUST beat Lucy for the first time minutes ago! I've played Emerald since it came out, but NEVER gotten a frontier badge before! :D I battled Lucy and it came down to an epic 1v1 with her Milotic against my toxic'd Slaking after she owned my Milotic and Shiftry. I took down her Milotic in one hit, no crit. Lucky, huh?
The only game where I have not beaten a Frontier Brain. In ORAS, I beat 2 of the Chatelaines. In Platinum, I beat Palmer quite easily. Emerald: as if. I got to Noland for the silver symbol once, and he easily swept me with Manectric. That says quite a bit about how difficult Emerald's battle frontier is
せんじゅブレンデン emerald's also had 7 to go through, each with their own gimmicks. I only ever beat Lucy once to get the silver symbol. Never reached the others but came so close to Tucker... But some random trainer beat me every single time...
No it isn't (at least I don't remember it being a copy of another comment.) I was bored and thought of this. Plus, 10 months? That's a little too late to be saying its "copied."
For your information, I've played at least two Pokemon versions for every generation. I don't mean to sound rude, but what's wrong with liking some Black and White's music? It's fairly praised across the Pokemon fan-base.
I was very VERY lucky with battling Lucy. I got so many lucky crits, I was so grateful. With regards to the others, the one I struggled on the most was Spensor. Since most of my pokemon would just fall asleep or something xD
The only Frontier Brain I remember beating was Tucker, I think. Damn the Pike Queen's Shuckle (I've never been big into getting the competitive movesets and EV training, really). But I agree, this theme is awesome.
Battle Tower > Battle Factory > Battle Pyramid / Battle Dome > Battle Arena > Battle Palace / Battle Pike That's how I found the facilities in terms of difficulty getting my silver symbols. My team is Salamance[Dragon Claw, Fire Blast, Fly, Rock Slide], Blaziken[Flamethrower, Brick Break, Arial Ace, Earthquake], Gardevoir[Psychic, Calm Mind, Will o' Wisp, Thunderbolt]. (I did EV train but I wasn't patient enough to get good IVs xP)
0:52-0:59 I smell a hint of a GSC champion theme. This is underrated by other songs in the series. It has the seriousness of what this is for AND it's a fun sounding theme.
