Thanks for watching and sub if you enjoyed! Inspired by: • The 2nd Battle of Geon... Video: • Video Song: • Video I do not own any content used in this video
Honestly they could've kept the movie as it is but extended it by showing the battle more between obi wan, anakin, and padme chasing dooku so it would have focused on mace, fisto, and the other jedi that would be essential later on in clone wars media like luminara, shaak ti,etc
My first day as a member of the 501st... it was hot, it was sandy, chaotic. Nothing at all like the simulations on Kamino. Of course that's pretty much the way it was for all of us, wasn't it? All that breeding, all those years of training... it doesn't really prepare you for all the screaming or the blood, does it? Frankly I'm still amazed we ever made it through the first hour, never-mind the first day.
Damn... think about it though The Galactic Republic had gunships capable of TROOP TRANSPORT. AND THE GUNSHIP CREWS DON'T GET CANCER/CRAZY/STUPID FROM THE WEAPON BYPRODUCTS
"Now for some reason, I fit into the Clone Army like one of those round pegs. It's not really hard. You just make your bed real neat, remember to stand up straight, and always answer every question with YES CHANCELLOR PALPATINE!"
A lot of people critique this battle scene for being impractical since its legit just two armies walking at each other, but really if you put it in perspective it is a rapid deployment. The Corporate forces had no idea the republic was capable and willing to deploy a force like the clones, and the clone deployment was aimed at stopping the corporate ships from leaving the surface. When you look at the positions of the Droids and the obvious fact that the entire clone force is getting rapidly put on the ground then it becomes clear that the corporate lads scrambled their droid forces from the ships to rush a takeoff while the Republic troops were pushing a very rigorous offensive to bust through the droid buffer and take out those ships quickly by swarming them, obviously underestimating the speed in which they’d be prepped to take off. Its a pretty cool battle when you look at it through this lens, unlike certain later “”battles”” that literally are just needless charges into the fray.
The Republic displays decent air-assault tactics here but I think their overall weakness is a lack of mechanised infantry. The AT-TEs are more akin to self-propelled artillery, rather than proper tanks/IFVs. They are far too slow and being so far off the ground means the clones can't use them as mobile cover during the advance. If the Republic deployed some BMP/Bradley-type vehicles, positioned their AT-TEs on the rocks surrounding the battlefield to take out the larger targets and combined it with gunship strafing runs, they would have enjoyed much better performance.
@@BalkanRedneck Yes, while that would have been an optimal battle strategy, the Republic was attempting to move as fast as possible, as they knew the Droids were going to attempt to get off the planet as fast as possible. If the Republic had more time for planning, something like this strategy could have been used, or generally, they would have used some better tactics for optimal performance. They didn't have this luxury, however, so launching a full-frontal offensive on the ground was the quickest way to enact their plans and halt the Droid Army from evacuating off-planet since full-frontals require minimal planning compared to more complex strategies like yours.
@@tuckermiller9137 I can certainly appreciate that the situation they found themselves in left little time for flashy, carefully planned operations. To be honest I wasn't critiquing their tactics as much as their lack of a land analogue to the LAAT gunship.
"Back in 'Nosis, it was hell. Clankers everywhere, even coming from the bottom of the dirt. I still hear the screams of my men getting torn apart by Battle Droids in my nightmares. When will this suffering end?"

Tarkin has only got one ball The Emperor's are so very small Needa lost his weiner And Darth Vader has no balls at all! Tarkin has only got one ball, The other he lost to ol' Darth Maul His mother, the dirty bugger, Chopped it off back when had his fall. She threw it down into Naboo It landed in a gungan stew, The biggest fishes got out their dishes, And had colo and bollocks for tea. The Emperor had only one brass ball, Needa had two but they were small Tarkin did all the talkin, And poor old Vader had no balls at all.
Anakin: So Captian Rex, Ahsoka is shipping out tomorrow morning, and she's pretty nervous. I know you enjoy staring like 3,000 feet out into dead space, but you got any good stories I could tell her about how cool space is? Rex: You know, there's lots of things you expect in war. Carnage, the sleepless nights, but what they don't prepare you for is the incessant use of 'Fortunate Son.' *Fortunate Son starts* Rex: I'd hear that song anytime I was in a LA-AT, or taking a cruiser deep in space. That song again. My penis would even play Fortunate Son while I was visiting a whore house. Commander Cody: Oh no that's horrible! There must have been some other song you heard. Rex: Yeah, there was. That 'there's something happening here' song. Obi-Wan: Hey I just realized your armour kinda looks like deep space. Rex: Shut up, Obi-Wan! You weren't there! You don't know! I'll kill you, I'll kill you, You didn't hear the songs I heard!
There's a lot you expect from Clone-Warsi: the carnage...the sleepless nights. But what they never prepare you for is the incessant use of Fortunate Son!
This song also works for 2003 clone wars when they're descending on Muunilinst. Seven nation army fits perfectly in the speeder bike part, and everybody look whats going down works when the clones are searching for Asaj in yavin 4
You know, there's a lot of things clones expect in war. Carnage, Sleepless nights, but what the sims don't prepare you for is the incessant use of "Fortunate Son". I heard that song anytime I was in a dropship... Taking a speeder bike deep behind enemy lines. That song again. The my blaster would even play it when I visited the Quartermaster.
It's impressive the Jedi are some of the strongest warriors in the entire galaxy, and manage to stay on the losing side no matter the situation. (Until the very last second of course, where they pull and uno reverse card.)
When the mountains start speaking geonosian, the ground starts speaking roger roger, the air screaming in buzzdroid, the ships speaking in gonk droid, and the sound of promise that an intergalactic civil war just kicked off.
It's called the Umbaran arc in Star wars :Clone wars Episodes 7-11 of season 4 It's the closest thing to a Vietnam type storyline in Star wars. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6-eMzboZsrI.html That is a bit of it.
Song fits so well, especially because the clone wars, like Vietnam, was never about defeating the enemy it was about distracting from some other objective
