@@amadbiscuit nice video but for the sake of correctness, there were no more than 300 knights at Grunwald by the Knights of the Teutonic Order. The rest were mercenaries

The Battle of Grunwald was practically a pure cavalry battle. New research shows that infantry fighting only took place at the Teutonic camp where the defeated Teutons tried to build a last defense (but they didn't succeed) The theory that the Teutons were heavier and better armed is also wrong The Polish-Lithuanian forces also had artillery with them but have decided not to use them in a field battle. The Teutonic Knights and the Guest Knights from "German Countries" were of course heavily armored but most of the Teutonic army was medium or light armored. For example the "Half Brothers"or Warriors from conquered territories who had to fight on the side of the Teutons and the same Citizens of cities conquered by the Teutons. On the Polish - Lithuania side the Polish nobles were of course heavily armored, as well knights from powerful Lithuanian families. However, the majority of Lithuanians had lighter armor than the Poles which had to do with their fighting style and terrain where they fought - the same Smolensk Regiments. The hired Tartars probably had the task of fast scout cavalry. Best regards :)
