Job well done, Grease. This may be more applicable to the 'Winterfell Liberation' video, but something that's always stuck with me was a little gem from ADWD. During a conversation with Harwood Stout and Lord Wyman, Roose Ryswell says that Ryswell scouts go out the Hunter's Gate, but lately none return. Mors Umber has been camped outside the gates with his band of green boys doing their thing. Is it possible Mors intercepted these Ryswell scouts, and sent them on to Stannis? And might we see Stannis later sneak his own men, if not even himself, inside Winterfell disguised as Ryswell men? I think Barbey Dustin is in on the GNC; and Ryswell men and Dustin men are one in the same since she's a Ryswell by birth; so it's possible Barbrey coordinated with her brother to use the scouts as some sort of pigeon carriers for her to Stannis. More over, I don't know how or if the missing scouts will come into play, but I think they add to the opportunity for the northern conspirators to double cross the Freys and Boltons. And they'd be perfect because they're only mentioned once, so readers wouldn't expect it.

Personally I think Stannis is showing us how robb should have handled the northern Lords like they are a prickly lot but they respect strength

Great video. I hope that one day we can talk about analyzing the battle of ice instead of theorizing about it. That being said, I think that the real issue of Stannis’s story in Winds of Winter is I think that more about the aftermath of the battle instead of the battle itself as there are many possibilities of what might happen (either in the case of him winning the battle or losing it).

I could see both sides losing, but I think for stannis, I'm leaning he will win the battle, but how he is afterward idk whether he wins but takes heavy casualties or desertion or its complete one sided battle and his plan works and it's a complete slaughter for the frey/Bolton alliance.Winterfell is a whole other topic of possibilities, so we will just have to wait and see what happens but the only worry I have for stannis is his mercenaries and the weather

I think Stannis will almost certainly manage to take winterfell but Ramsay is somehow gonna fuck him up long term. The lines where Stannis discounts Ramsay as a non threat are telling

Dude, the Witcher is my 2nd favorite book series. I only audiobook, so that might have an effect on my opinion, because the narrator for those books blows Roy Dotrice out of the water, and also I loved the game, so... All that said though, I like ASoIaF better still. The Witcher is definitely worth your time though

I don't like Stannis - I think he is slowly loosing the stiff morality that once made him some version of a moral person to political and military necessity. That's his story. He is fascinating - notice how enough of his moral approach remains that he tortures Theon when there is nothing to learn from the miserable creature he has become. *He has no human sympathy, and the only person who was ever honest with him is on the cannibal island chasing a giant wolf and a wild boy.*
