The only incorrect weaponry was the AK-47'S used by the Soviet troops. The Germans widely used the Russian 76mm gun, as shown, and captured SU-76s. In the battles of Prussia they even used captured US Sherman Tanks.

Accept if you notice some of the Russians were using AK47s not MP44s I know the difference. There were a lot of AK47s by the Russians . I mean the Ruszkies should of used some SKSs tgat would of been believable. The tanks were great, Th he German self propelled guns were German fffom the war.
They are not Kalashnikovs. They are STG-44's, a semi automatic rifle developed by the Germans towards the end of the war. After the war the Russians based the Kalashnikov on captured examples of these weapons.
😮Beats me how these destructive scenes are filmed! One time take only possible and they need more than a dozen cameras and men. I wonder whether tgere were any deaths or injuries when filming! Great movie, great upload. Thanks. From India.
@@frankisimpa1920 Why in the name of realism would the Germans let the tanks get literally 100 feet away when they could hit at 1,000 yards ? And then wait and wait and wait and then get only a two shots off allowing themselves to get vaporized ?
The novel and the movie were very popular in East Germany as it is an autobiography of Dieter Noll who was one of the last standing of those who were fighting in 1945 , his son is Chaim Noll and he lives in Israel today - he is a popular author in Israel .
Unfortunately they couldn't use authentic German armored vehicles in this or almost any other film since the small number that were still operational at the end of the war were mostly destroyed on allied firing ranges or in a few cases used by other countries and later scrapped. A handful of operational vehicles still exist today but these are highly valued properties of armored museums like Bovington - who did lease out the world's only running Tiger1 for the filming of the movie " Fury ".
MrGreggles, Ich habe den Film als Kind gesehen.Das Sägewerk ,die haben die Juden auf der Säge echt geteilt.Natürlich nicht gezeigt.Man hört nur die Schreie und die Kreissäge.
@@udokrause832 Google Translated as: " I saw the movie as a child. The sawmill, the Jews on the saw really divided.Of course not shown. You hear only the screams and the circular saw." Crikey, that's extreme; I can imagine the reaction. All I know of the film is this clip.

At the end of the war the Germans sent anyone who could pull a trigger to the front. They even collected them in special units to accomodate better for fysical problems: batallions of 'stomach-suffering' or 'ear damage' having one cook prepare special meals for 300 is better then spread them over 300 units and let them all die after eating their first glutten. Ear damage battalions were not too popular tho: usualy sleeping through an enemy barage. Also the commander had to stand in front of them so they could read his lips when giving the fire command, not the best place to be. But this is the first time i see a company of near-blind in action 😁
The Germans capture tons of those guns in the first years and repurposed them. They were used in Africa, they were put on Marder's and few few other hulls and halftracks. So it's possible they were using them on all fronts and times.
This was a show from east Germany ! There didn’t have to be time traveling AK-47s in the show ! MP 44s were used up until 1965 by the east German army and territorial militia ! And of course were gradually phased out by the AK-47 ! So yeah I am kind of curious why they had them with AK-47s in the background would’ve been OK !
The Russians as well as the allies had a habit of picking up the MG44 ! SideArm of Brad Pitt in “fury”, Look at American and British troops being moved by infantry carriers and you’ll see at least one or two of them with an MG 44! And the Russians did the exact same thing !
Yes, seeing as the AKs were not introduced until 1954, these Soviets were time-travelers! I bet the actors had heaps of fun making this film, running around playing soldiers. I hadn't seen it before.
Those are not ak47s but are the original assault rifles issued to some German troops from about 1944. Kalashnikov created the ak47 by making a copy of this gun that could be cheaply mass produced as the original was complex. These guns caused problems during the Ardennes offensive as the rounds could penetrate us army bunkers which in some areas had to be made from wood.

The real problem must have been that in 1965s' East-Germany depicting the Russian "brothers" as bad guys was not really done. I guess they made up for that with the hero shooting at his own SS troops at some point.
He wasn't SS, he wore the black tank crew uniform, along with Volksturm,Hitlerjugend and regular Wehrmacht.A completely mixed unit, common in the last days, also the use of "Beutepanzer" which could explain the SU

is this an old movie?? or they are just making it look old, cuz it looks clean, unlike ur typical hairs, and lines in the older films, yes??? But it is bad ass.
It's from 1964/5. By that time black & white film technology had come pretty far. A lot of films from that era and even earlier can look sharp like this. It also depends a lot on how well the original tapes were stored and how much cleaning and digital remastering is done when they are digitized.
They aint ak47's mate that is the Stg44 ..". the father of the Ak47 which is a variant of this weapon copied and improved by mr Kalashnikov ... the storm rifle as it was called was a german design that was the forefather of all assault weapons..Must say that scene was very good the tank battle looked very realistic ..looks like a decent movie will check it out..
Yes, this film was made in 1965 and back then there were still many T-34 around, some even on "active duty". Even today it is not difficult to find a running T-34.
