Siege of Fire Base Gloria. An under rated sleeper of a movie with an isolated Marine Patrol led by R. Lee Ermey on the eve of the Tet Offensive. Great job showing the best combat parts!!
Honestly too many incredible male kills to count, on both sides! Especially loved seeing so many of my own American brothers running in and getting mowed down. Beautiful showcase, thank you so much for putting these together and archiving the best parts, you're a boss!
True, but I actually tried to count them anyway. Then the batteries died in my calculator, so I gave up. Just like these men should have... more may have survived if they did. Not that I would have preferred that. I'm in favor of bullets getting all the screen time they can.
The film is distorting history. I have never seen Vietnamese soldiers shooting at the military hospital like in the video. And the Viet Cong never fought directly to receive such great casualties. The director must have never been in the army.
Honestly this show how the bravery soldiers is. They can fire at a distance but instead they fight like as if their gun won't fire if they don't point their gun at each forehead.😂
Yes, charging the gunners as if trying to meet the bullets half-way. And most succeeded in doing just that! And I'm sure the shooters appreciated their cooperation.
War reacting to the day automatic weapons were invented... "YES!" So many examples of why in this video. Bullets, bellies, and the boners on the guys uniting the two see to that. But lead doesn't have a monopoly on soldier studs buying the farm on the battlefield... that handsome hunk at 3:20 who was back- and belly-bladed can attest to that. But you better hurry... he looked to be fading fast.
@@shotstrangledstabbed I'd be willing to try. One hand on his belly, one on his back to stop the bleeding. It would only delay his death, but at least, instead of "Polly," he might mutter MY name as he slips away. I hope so, cuz I'm probably gonna catch a bullet for my trouble.
@@thesixshooter6506 After you catch one or more bullets you can die on top of him. Filming that scene would take a lot of takes. I guess there would be some wet spots in yours and his pants.
@@shotstrangledstabbed Man you know me... and him... well. Those "wet spots" wouldn't be from blood either. I suppose you now know my real motive for wanting to check him out. He's a dead man, and I realize that. I'm going to sit next to him and wait for a burst of M-16 bullets to cut me down and hopefully blanket this stud when I fall. Belly-to-belly, blood-to-blood, cheek-to-cheek. Until the enemy mop-up crew spoils it and rolls me off him to make sure we're both dead. "Hey, look at these two. I think they enjoy this combat crap a little to much!" That should get us both another 12-inch blade in our bellies. Sort of a bonus, you might say. Then the best part... we hear the director yell "Do it again from the top." Which just so happens to be MY position fortunately.
@@thesixshooter6506 It would be an exhausting day for you filming that. I loved to see all the results of that day. Not just the final result. When you are rolled of him, there would be a tent in the pants of the both of you!!
