This soundtrack is a timeless musical masterpiece and so was the game. An era of battlefield we shall never witness again and i'm honored to be a part of it.

I don't know whether to be happy DICE so faithfully and beautifully recreated the original soundtrack, or pissed that they never put these in the official soundtrack. I can't be the only one who would have preferred these to the generic EDM we got in the actual game itself. Like, I still don't understand why they essentially re-recorded two tracks from the original game, with a full orchestra, just for an easteregg in some far off forgotten corner of a DLC map. Why not put them in as loading screens or at least use them for a trailer, like they did with the PLA theme in Legacy Operations?
@@apachecantfly yeah I'm pretty sure I saw those already, this comment was written before they uploaded the 1943 soundtrack though, and it was impossible to find them anywhere else, so I just assumed it was from BF4. I always knew BF1943 had three different versions of the theme(the two in the loading screens/menu and the one that plays on the Jeep radio) - I however didn't know they actually re-made the 1942 theme, I just thought it was ripped from the 1942 official audio.

@@SillyDillysTunes No, they were remastered for Battlefield 1943. 1. You can find them in marketing material for 1943 game. 2. Lakeshore Records released official soundtrack for Battlefield 1943 just 2 months ago - it contains these tracks used in Battlefield 4.
@@apachecantfly you do realize that 1943 is a remastered variant of 1942, right? This song in this format is originally from 1942 and has been redone, not remastered. Or same difference. The entire song is from the opening of 1942. I'd know as I grew up playing it. The part that slowly fades in half way through this song is actually where it originally starts in the opening scene of 1942 ad the Sherman's crest a sand hill before turning its turret and firing.
@@SillyDillysTunes My bad, poor choice of words. What I meant is those two were recorded for 1943 although they are just arrangements of tracks written by Eriksson for 1942.
I thought Battlefield V was the remake. Not saying that doesn’t have shortcomings (including well as spectacular but demanding graphics), but that’s what I’d heard.
The second half is an exact orchestral remake of the original - the notes are the same but different instruments and better recording equipment was used so it lost that authentic vintage sound
