Getting a new audio bug now sometimes a map loads and everything sounds muffled. Like there's still sounds in the game but it's like I'm wearing earplugs or something. Very annoying, have to relaunch the game completely to fix it.
@Ravic They changed it a while back. Now EMP's temporarily disable all of the vehicle's modules, but you can still use its weapons and countermeasures
@@ibabcock89 Yeah I know they changed it but when I was EMP'd in a stolen chopper I had no mobility or speed issues, everything was fine and I could still fire. That compared to what you see happen to the LATV which doesn't have windows isn't balanced or fair especially when it still has that much health.
The very first clip you see before I get into the vehicle infantry health bar on the bottom right shows a red 12, then after I get into the car the number to the left of the vehicle icon at the bottom middle part of the screen is also a red 12.
7:14 Oh, so that happened because a Rao hacked you or you got EMP'd. EMP effects no longer affect weapon systems and now affect vehicle mobility systems such as the engine, tracks, etc.
@@dumbot6640 Yes, which is what happens when you get Rao hacked / EMP'd now. DICE changed it because vehicle mains (mostly air, from what I can tell) were complaining about Rao slightly inconveniencing their ability to farm infantry by disabling their primary weapons.
Idk if they put this on purpose, there's still two hit markers when roadkill someone (and it is not trigger everytime since S2 That looks weird somehow imo
@@Ravic btw the last kill is quite interesting, Ranger will explode when down player give up to revive. And the roadkill is unable to revive, which means when the owner die by roadkill, the ranger will explode immediatly, that's how it kill you at the end of the video :D
7:13 When was this recorded? They recently changed how the emp works. Emp grenades and Casper's emp drone fully disable vehicles now. You weren't disabled because you took damage.
@@Ravic The abrams and the t28 have the same slowdown problem, so does the ram. I run emp on engineer and it makes most armor easy pickings. The apache and hokum lose about 30ish% power when emp'd and the pondhawk gets glued to the ground, not so sure about jets because I dont fly them. Popping self repair will instantly remove any speed penalty when hit hy an emp, which apparently a lot of people don't know.
@@TheDBZ_KING7_Official It only helps when you have the repair ability available, and I'm not sure if you can use your abilities while said vehicle is EMP'd.
@@TheDBZ_KING7_Official I knew about the guns, but equipment / CMs too? FFS, they literally made Rao worthless when even his target designation on hack can be countered after said hack (most people just flared beforehand anyway)
7:16 as far as I can tell in 2042 the damage-states of vehicle parts don't seem to be based on actual HP? Like you can damage a part from just AP rounds or whatever... while hardly lowering the overall HP of said vehicle. No idea how that works. Also hard-agree that passive spotting needs to GO. They had that whole blog post about when they fixed it up for BFV and had it in such a better balanced spot back then... rip that dev team I guess.
It doesn't matter how it works it's not balanced to make the LATV immobile like that when the same can't be done to armor or aircraft and especially vehicles WITH windows. No they made passive/reticle spotting worse towards the end of BFV. It was fine originally at only ten meters then they jacked it up to 25 meters and broke it so it could basically be used as a soft wallhack to see people's icon behind corners and in bushes, etc.
@@Ravic Yikes, I don't remember it being that bad in BFV, you could still hide from people unless they looked directly at you at least. It's horrible in 2042 though. I absolutely get passive spot wallhack through walls and in bushes, doesn't have to be center screen or anything.
@@JDW0LF Like I said it was fine for most of BFV but one of the last few updates they made that change it was awful especially around bunkers or any fortifications. It's one of those things where if they don't fully go over the maps inch by inch settings up the textures and surfaces correctly it will always end up doing more harm then good because there is no way they are going to be that detailed for every map. Besides I'm always against anything that doesn't require user input to get enemy/player information in 3D space. Surprisingly I thought they were going to carry it over "as is" directly over into BF2042 but they didn't until I want to say maybe around a year after release. Then it became possible to passive/reticle spot up to 50 meters in BF2042. What might be worse is for some reason you can 3D spot or "Q" spot infantry from across the entire map ( no distance limit ) and see their playername but you can't do that for vehicles now. It's weird because it used to be the same for both, then they made it so you couldn't for both, then they changed it to what I just mentioned like they are for some reason favoring vehicle players or vehicle stream snipers.
