BF1's entire maps were destructible.

Bf5's destruction was pretty great, not the best, but very enjoyable.

Yeah Battlefield 4 had those levolution events that got repetitive after 5 times. Such a missed opportunity for actual destruction. The game being set in Urban China should have been an amazing place for dynamic destruction.

Battlefield 3 "Back to Karkand" expansion had a nice destruction. The basically added a lot of debris on impact. Sometimes it could change the outcome of the firefight, combined with screen shake and debris.

I was the best at having the battlefield essence. its launch was terrible but the current game is what peak battlefield looks like. levolution shouldve been expanded upon. most of the time it kinda ruined the map like in siege of shanghai but it had a lot of potential for actually making it better.

Battlefield 4 was the best for Levolution Battlefield 3 was the best combat experience from the game series at least to me

That base jump was always fun but using rubble to prone and hide and if the tank doesn't see you. It's a complete win in itself

@@RochRich. Plus it's not a technical issue since the BC2 maps have perfect destruction, it's a map and gameplay design issue that BF V and it's building mechanics were supposed to solve but Dice didn't follow up on this game

This is unfortunately exactly how I feel as well, I played all the battlefields up to 2042 never regretted buying a single one of them due to the countless hours of jaw dropping entertainment I got from them…. I bought 2042 and was sooo excited, I played for about an hour and hated just about every single part of the game, couldn’t of felt like more of waste of money I swear

@@minutemanmedic4143 Unfortunately I missed playing battlefield four in its heyday but I did manage to play it for a few months in 2018, and I can firmly agree that shit slapped.

Personally I got bored of BF1 after 3 months and didn't necessarily get bored of BFV but didn't really have anyone to play it with after 4 months. But I played BF3 for roughly 3 years and BF4 for another 2-3 years. And even Hardline for nearly 2 years. 2042 I gave it a week and was completely done. Tried hopping on a couple days ago after over 400 ImPrOvEmEnTs but it's still complete garbage.

the building that collapsed on bf4 was a script and in fact it always fell the same way. in addition, it was the only building on the map to fall. buying the general destruction of bf 2042 with that of the old bf you can clearly see the qualitative leap of the physics engine

at least 2042 has bot support and custom servers/matches that still lets you unlock stuff it's the only battlefield game I enjoyed that came out after 2142 because I could actually create my own fun again instead of just playing through a boring campaign once then never playing again

​@b1_ferg It's really not "unfair," by all rights 2042 should've had similar destruction, "Levolution" or otherwise it's still literally player controlled destruction, and BF4 has a myriad of big buildings to destroy. BF1 evolved that destruction too, being able to level basically every building on every map with some exceptions, zero excuse.

@@ilikecinema1234 They’re kinda right. BF4 was a step up from BF3 in that it had more unique large structures even though they weren’t destructible. Both BF3 and BF4 have sparse maps with small destructible buildings (although BF4’s large maps seem more empty), let’s just say they’re even on destruction there. For smaller, tighter maps, I’d say BF4 has less destruction than BF3 because of those indestructible structures. BF3 also let you kill players with falling rubble which they seemed to have removed in BF4 except those planks propping up the ceiling in Metro.

tbf 2042 looks a ton better graphically but yeah i wish it had some cooler levolution. and also a more accurate comparison to bf4’s falling tower would be like the rocket on orbital

Bf4 had the same start as 2042. It was hated. People called for it to die and the makers to end it. Now it's one of the best after 2 years of bad. But hey. No one thinks of that. Spoiled. All of you.are

hahaha you think people dont like bf2042 because of the launch? That is only the tip of the iceburg. I remember the launch of bf1 was plagued with bugs and even a bloody hack that shut it down but I still loved every second I could spend on it....do you know why? Because that game had passion behind it. Bf2042 removes so much of what makes battlield great. The maps are big but empty, there's a weird hero shooter vibe with the most laughable dialogue, there are no defined classes and the weapon choice is woefully lacking. Also, why no scoreboard? Kills competition
