You can tell the creators of BattleField 3 cared about authenticity. While I wasn't a Tanker I was a medic attached to Infantry and later mechanized armor. All of this sounds so authentic it take me backs to some of the battles I've participated in. Well done there.
This is how you personalize a character within a single mission. You’re shown a toy dinosaur for Miller’s son, indicating he has a wife and child back home. Only at the end he is captured by the enemy and brutally executed live on video. I swear back in the day, these games had serious BALLS man
8 years later and this still holds up. Having gone through Tank school, the type of cross talk and fire commands are very accurate. The systems used are also very similar to how it is in real life. Only inaccurate part is the T72s blowing up; would probably see the ammo blow with the turrets popping and flying up.
In all fair regards, the level of radio communication accuracy in this game and in this mission specifically is entirely accurate to real-life audio traffic of Military units, notably the US. Still very impressed by the level of quality product developed and sold by EA almost over ten years on. Stark contrast to modern interpretations of comparable media.
@@ThatOneSniper What if someone or some people who actually fought in the Gulf War or just actually fought in the actual U.S armed forces made a game called call of Duty Realistic Warfare. Where it starts in World War 1 or 2 then the game series goes through the Cold War as it happened in our time line. Then through the Gulf War and Iraq war against Saddam Hussain then the real war in Afghanistan up until the civil War in Syria and the armed Struggle\war against isis in Iraq and Syria. I would love that series. Plus I think it would be good. Then make more of the American people who don't really think of the U.S military that much start to be more thankful for the armed forces of the U.S.A. . Or it could just start with the Gulf War.
Slice 141 I understand a tanks fire control system are so much smoother in person but Jesus it’s like this guy was firing in emergency mode the whole time

I have some corrections to make. It’s the sound of the 240 being racked after jamming from heat. You can recycle the action from inside the tank. However my second comment about the .50 is accurate. Once you’re out you’re out till you have time to change it out of combat.
@@pipthegrunt4533 after revolution ? iraq vs iran ? what the hell got the US do with it ? US is in war 93% of the time since creation of USA i'm not saying that every war they were in was international. But it is still a large propotion of time in war . It is difference to be in war in your own country or in other country. US troops should have war in North America to finaly realize why war is no good Having a president like a Bush is like having a president Sadam both are criminals
If I didn't knew I would say that this game is a 2019 game. Makes me feel sad how dice just stop making good games after This one and just did the same thing a little worst than the last time just imagine if the battlefield franchise would have improved after this one, we could have a game that features 62 v 62 players and a destruction way better and realistic than what we could have imagined in our wildest dreams, but that means minimum 2 or 3 years of development and not the 8 months that EA currently allows
I will honestly rather wait 2-3 years for a great battlefield game than wait for 8 months for a shitty battlefield game. I feel if they held off on releasing battlefeild 5 for a longer time then it would be a better game
13:28 I can guarantee if the commander jumped out of his tank in the middle of combat, he would be stripped of his command faster than a cheetah high on crack.
battlefieldp4f well -abandoning his or her own men -abandoning the mission -being a fuckign pussy In the military abandoning your own men which you lead is pretty much a sin for them and proper demotion or discharge is required to continue mission which the number one rule In a operation is keep everyone/almost everyone alive if possible but if you make a call which you knew was suicidal or ran out on them will result immediate strip of status or possible discharge of the military

I swear developers just stop caring. Everything in the last few years sounds the same gun wise and just feels like a COD clone. BF now is no different.
The first Minutes still give me goosebumps and remember me of epic battles in B2, when we have such a tank assault with players in each tank incl airsupport. (yaya not in this awesome graphics but sounds was always superior on Battlefield game)
The comms in this campaign where ahead of it’s time. Games like squad get this right (like the gunner yelling “UP” when a new round is loaded), but back then this was pretty incredible and still is
