Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 has released, and we dive in to watch as the Drukhari take on the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Set in the grim dark universe of Warhammer 40K, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 has multiple campaigns to play across multiple factions, and includes online skirmishing and ranked gameplay. Don't forget to use your boarding abilities! Dark Eldar do some pretty serious boarding damage.

Torpedos into the stasis - never works.

Tell that to oathmaster. Sick stasis torpedo runs, all though he charges in and release them and quickly turn out of the way. He did it against a despoiler as drukhari with splinter torps, and watching those salvoes entering the stasis in slowmow and slowly tearing it appart is still the most beautiful thing I've seen in this game (he even said enjoy to the viewers while it happened haha) . But then again his micro skills are sick and it's definitely not for everyone and Eldar is also the only ones who can pull it of for sure because of their speed.

Dropped the torpedoes right into your own stasis, gave me a giggle. Despite the nova spam you still turned it into a slaughter, though.

Friendly reminder that lightning strike or assault will stop a ship disengaging. Otherwise a very nice game, you crushed him!

You're getting better with every battle, that felt like very Eldar way to fight. Either dark, generic or piratey, they are sly bastards. I like the direction the game is going with very distinct faction feel.

The asymmetric balance is always nice in these kinds of games! And yeah been trying to gone multiple factions at once - not the smoothest ride, but getting there!

Its acceptable when you consider they sacrafice any and all froward weapons in exchange for the claws. Not the most balanced thing in the game, but i think its alright

@@Matt-lk5ng it can be, depending on your playstyle. For example it might not mean anything for Impnavy, becuase they are a broadsude focused faction but the 'nids dont have a preference either way. Thry can broadside or with their passive stealth buff go full eldar-sneak-artillery mode

@@alanhouk1427 honestly seems overbuffed in general now that i saw party elites breakdown of the update. Melee and morlae game seems much better than ranged. Pretty sure they are top tier at least.

you should really spam the drukari thrusters in the opening sections of the game since y'now the cool down is relatively quick and getting first salvos is kinda important

Do carrier fleets have any form of counter play?

Depends on the faction and build you've gone in with. Intercept with your own squadrons and park ships nearby in Brace for Impact stance to gun them down. Or boost away while in brace for impact stance. Any squadrons that don't return to the enemy hangar bays are gone for good.

@@PartyElite I actually "just figured out" lol. I play Adeptus Mechanicus (Nova Cannons) and by staying the fleet in formation I was able to repell 90% of the boarding parties of Space Marines. Does the "Brace for Impact" have any actual effect on that? Also thanks!
