It's hard to believe that most of the hero skins in the final update are sequel skins near identical to what we have, so much for Boba, Damaged Vader and Chancellor Palpatine
I was so disappointed, 100% agree. I don't know why they never gave us Bespin Luke or Cloaked Darth Maul...2 appearances almost everyone has wanted since launch. We could have had padawan Obi-wan, Ol' Ben Kenobi, hooded Anakin.... The taste in my mouth gets even more sour when I think about BB droids being the last heroes we got. I guess throwing a hood on Rey and changing her lightsaber color were easy overnight additions, same with Kylo and Palpatine from Rise Of Skywalker...they didn't even change his face at all from the default skin. SMH.

I think the lockdown has halted virtually all long-term updates for existing games. Yes, resources are probably being moved to new games and projects, but the stress of having programmers and designers work from home (for indefinite periods of time), on games which are already pushing 2+ years old, has caused a lot of developers to give up support for many of their less popular games. As great a comeback as this game made, player count is decent at best, and studios don't have the financial stability to give a game like SWBF2 more updates. I definitely think the end of this game and BFV have more to do with COVID-19 than it does with new projects.

Thanks Battlefront 2 for making a great game I've been loyal since the beta and still play to this day I'll remember ups and downs they were funny but frustrating at the same time like Luke repulse not working for a long time, Palpatine lightning through wall glitch, op rocket barrage Boba, "crash speeders", broken Grievous, and Anakin "the broken one" at release one shotting heros with heroic might and 5 sec retribution. You've been great and hopefully BF3 will be a great game at release, may the force be with you!
Kerim Gürsu it’s a maybe right now. We know for a FACT that they have shifted all focus to the next battlefield game so even if they wanted to make a BF3 it won’t be for a LONG TIME
I see why the CT was delayed, they didn’t want the game to end, probably higher ups in EA made the decision. I bet the virus also played a part in ending content support for both bf V and bf 2 early. I bet they planned on ending support this year, but I don’t think ending support this early was part of THE PLAN. Nevertheless I’ll never forget all the memories and hardships. I was there for the beta, the rocky launch, the drought of content (times where the only time I could play hero showdown was 1v1ing my friend), I was there for solo. And I was there for the greatest redemption arc in the history of gaming. May the force be without, and to anyone who breathed life into the game I thank you. I’ll still be playing atleast until bf3 comes out if that ever happens. Our stories will live on...see you on the battlefront soldiers.

Go to same server as friend your talking to over mic. Do not make a game party. Count down from 3 and search for a game at the same time calling out the map you both receive. If you get the same map your good, if not you cancel. Hope this helps.
I'd rather just buy skins, too. However, most of these skins coming in the update are undesirable to me. Don't like them really, at all. The only ones I'm going for are the Shore Trooper and Rebel Pathfinder. The Hero ones just aren't must-haves for me.
If we're being fully honest the perfect ending for this game would have been finishing it off with a final clone wars update where they release the last heroes/villains (ahsoka/ventress) kind of annoying that the last heroes we got were droids

No one knows, but if dice is doing it, it won't be done at the same time as Battlefield. A year, maybe 2 of service for that and then the EA contract is (probably) renewed. Then they start development. I would say not before 2024
Battlefront 3 for the old battlefront was supposed to be the “best” Star Wars game. I hope for the satisfaction of new and old time fans. If it happens may they take as much time as needed to make it as perfect as possible. And hopefully they continue to listen to the community on social media just as it has happened for Battlefront 2 2017

Who the hell asked for hooded Rey and Kylo more than for Battle Damaged Vader or Bespin Luke?! This is bullshit! Scarif update is Age of Rebelion content, so why did we got 4 ST skins and only 1 OT skin?
Come on man, this game had so much potential. There were so many things they could have added. It could have one of the best games ever if they carried on making and adding content.
Corona virus took a big hit clearly. They planned on continuing until literally like December of 2020. We were gonna get new heros and all kinds of new shit but that covid 19 really hit.
I think its better they focus on upcoming titles, even though it is sad to see the end of SWB2... If they learn from everything they did wrong with SWB1 and SWB2, we could see the perfect Star Wars Battlefront game, on consoles that are significantly more powerful. Although SWB2 was amazing and one of the best games I've ever played, it has issues that would be very hard to fix, so a sequel would be good choice, especially with the new consoles.

Im pretty sure they are sick of spending time and effort into a game that doesn't really get them money. I mean i spent 5 euros on the game lol and the amount of content this game has for 5 euros is quite something. EA want the money its obvious.

@@filefile498 Ya, it's at a point now where the replayability is quite nice. I hop on for several sessions a week and I thoroughly enjoy myself. That's imo the thing that made the og battlefronts amazing. You could play thousands of hours and still get chills when the separatists reach coruscant on galactic conquest and droids invade the complex.
Press F for Battlefront 2. You'll come down in history of gaming as the one game that, despite what the community said, managed to redeem itself and become a GREAT game.

That maul thing is such bullshit. The most heavily requested skin since the game debuted and they make you kill 5000 enemies in the last update. It could just be me but that really pisses me off

Yeah I got the celebration bundle like a few months ago too. I'm done with anything EA related man. Ive been getting burned repeatedly, with anthem, madden, bfv, need for speed, this. Its sad that the only EA game that I actually find fun to play and hasnt been given up on is plants vs zombies
They burned me for the last time with the celebration edition. EA will get no more money from me, and hopefully we’ll see them go bankrupt within the decade if others follow suit.
Huge Whale I mean you can still play the campaign, resurrection campaign add on, instant action, co-op, and bots on Arcade. That's a lot of SP content even when the game dies

Madara Uchiha the most underwhelming for me was when they added BB8 and BB9E instead of Ahsoka and Ventress, I thought after they added Dooku, Obi Wan and Anakin that they would for sure add Ventress and Ahsoka as its the two apprentices, but hey at least we have two useless droids to compensate.

I wanted, vader from episode 3, Bespin luke, Grevious with the cape, and a hooded version of Maul, old Ben Kenobi, Anakin in the dark side, Mace Windu, Qui gonn. I just can't believe it's over, there was so many things that i would like see in BT ll.
There is still a long way till it is finished,there will just be no more new updates,the game will live on until the next battlefront game come out,which will come out between 2021-2022

Obi-wan Kenobi They need to have the content in the game they have now. At the start of BF3. Courasant, Mustafar, Utupau, and Mygeeto need to make DLC appearances along with Ashoka, Ventress, Mace, Jango, Cad Bane. Along with Galactic Conqest. I mean just make the game epic. It could have so much potential.
What? changing the colour of Rey's lightsaber and hilt which would've literally taken 10 seconds, they call a new skin? I'm sorry but how pathetic is that.
The only new skins I see here is maul and palpatine, and even palpatine is a stretch cause they just added red highlights. The hooded appearances just seem lazy and pointless. Just the same skin we already had, but not they wear a hood. So many other skins could've been used and actually new but they took this route. Very disappointed.
This sucks because this game is incomplete I know that isn’t fair to say considering how much effort dice has put into this game but they should had one last spectacular clone wars era update. Now we feel like battlefront 3 may not be about the Skywalker saga and we wanted more but thats probably never gonna happen. I would love this game getting a battle pass to continue production of content. There’s still so much we wanted.
Don't forget to keep playing online guys! We all still gotta grind out that Maul skin and others, so we all need to help each other out by keeping the modes more full than usual.

@@ll-kd6ri honestly on offer Yes! *do not pay full price!* I payed 6 UK pounds for BF2 AND BF1 about a year and a half back. The game is very glitchy and can be frustrating but if you are just board and want something to do like I did then yes I would recommend it!
Minecraft is cool again because of nostalgia. Eventually, the people that got into Minecraft through Pewds and stuff will make it cool again due to nostalgia. Than again. And again. And that will carry on. Microsoft doesn't really have any reason to stop doing stuff with Minecraft any time soon

It’s been real battlefront community the struggle we’ve went through only we can all relate. One thing remains true, battlefront 2 had a lot of potential
slender the savage master I respect your opinion but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a masterpiece, even after they made it a lot better but it was a really fun game to play and quite a journey for the past 2 1/2 years.
That Maul skin is amazing and it’s the exact one I’ve always wanted, but by the time I unlocked it I wouldn’t want to ever touch Maul or the game again. Fucking hurts because I’m a Maul main... rip bf2.

KotOR isn't necessarily non-canon actually. We know that Revan is a canon character as he is the namesake of one of the Sith Trooper groups in TRoS and he was planned to appear in Clone Wars but the idea was scrapped because he was going to appear as Sith ghost but the writers said the canon ending of KotOR is Revan becoming a Jedi again. If they acknowledge that the game has a canon ending within the Star Wars universe, then doesn't that mean the game must be canon?

When it came out it was pay to play, then just broke. We stopped playing until late 2019, been enjoying. Gotta play to unlock better cards and weapons. Enjoy.
This game will go down in history as one of the biggest redemption stories, it's a great game and I will enjoy playing it until they shut it down for good and forced to play offline
It's no longer going to get new content updates after the next one, not the same thing as the game coming to an end. That concept might be difficult to understand.

Here's what dice should do, give the update work over to another gaming company that will continue finishing the game's progress to many missing maps, content, and modes fixes with AI not being there. (Just do not give the work over to EA)
