to bad the Americans didn't use there best weapon the M10"s motor artillery cant adjust as fast as that AFV can move but once you stop the life span of the vehicles is very short.
Can I ask this? I have a ton of 15mm FoW WWII miniatures, but I really didn't like the way Flames of War plays out. I particularly didn't find it fun to play an infantry based army (US Paratroopers). Do you think Battlegroup would be better or more fun? I know it is subjective, but I would love some perspective and insights. I haven't based too many minis, so I could go single bases ..
Battlegroup can be lot of fun, especialy with infantry based force, my Fallschirmjagers usually fought on foot and give hard time my friend british forces which have lot of armored vehicles. I dont particulary like latest edition of FoW mainly because gameplay, but Battlegroup is very satisfing both in gameplay and tactics employed hope it helped Lars
@@Haydencz Thanks for that. I am particularly interested in US Paras. Fallschirmjagers is close enough so I assume US Paras are similarly fun. You have inspired me to give it a chance before selling off my minis..
Hope you were able to give Battlegroup a try. I was in the same boat, I bought some FoW and don't like the gameplay, I wanted something that felt more realistic. Battlegroup is it. I based everything on single bases and sold off all my extras (no need for 10 Shermans anymore!)
@@LarsLeonhard I find the infantry much more meaningful, as I do basically everything in Battlegroup. BG is an infantry centric game, with IFV and arty support. They're much more important which is what I was looking for in TT game.
