The entire ending sequence of season 3 is incredible. But to the extent you believe that wrongs must be repaid, it is especially fitting that Opie got to do what he did, won't say what so I don't spoil it, and that Chibs, after years, shows Jimmy O. that what goes around comes around. Chibs was not defeated, he was just waiting for his day to come. Chibs in my heart forever. Of all of them, he was the best and most honorable. If I could only have one character as a brother, it would be Chibs. He would never have stood still for the way they treated Opie, unless he had solid proof. And he would have kept Jax from getting out of control as much as he did, if Jax had relied on him more, and had confided in him. He was the one who could have changed the destiny of SOA the way John Teller had wanted to...no other character was as true to the code in all circumstances, as Chibs was. Remember this when you get to his quote "We must not let our hearts be louder than our reason". Clay should have been grooming Chibs for president, and Jax for VP, but of course, then we wouldn't have the story we did. And Tommy Flanagan rules as an actor, also. He can even rock a $10 pair of sunglasses like they are Oakleys or Raybans... If you want to get some culture shock, though, catch the interview with Charlie Hunnam where he is speaking in his best native (Shakespearean) British accent, instead of as a Northern Californian. Makes him seem like a totally different person than the Jax Teller character he portrayed, while I can see a streak of Chibs in Tommy Flanagan, the person and actor. The only other series that have ever even come close to SOA are the Wire and Breaking Bad. But overall, I would give SOA the nod, though the other two are close.

Chibs' secret lover and her challenge to him was great, but for different reasons. But the end of season three just blew me away. I can still listen to this several times in a row, any time I want something that is both deep and soothing. Strange effect, considering the scene it is associated with, although the scene does give a lot of closure to a lot of open wounds.

Honestly, "come join the murder" could have been played at the end of season 3 and i would have been fine with it. Putting this song to the end of the entire series would have made a lot of sense.

Spoiler alert! To me it felt like he became an antagonist out of nowhere in the 3rd season, guess he wanted to create enemies just for fun like any good old psychopath? His ego got too big and he wanted to be a bully just for profit. Amazing work by the actor Titus Welliver, badass even before his demise in the last episode.
