1. Those weren't barrel rolls. They were aileron rolls. 2. That was a preview page, showing the aircraft from various angles. It was not showing the aircraft in flight.
Mike Toleno With low level B-52 attack against WWII carriers, B-52s bombing each other mid attack, B-52 kamikaze runs, B-52s dropping 70K lbs of bombs in a couple seconds, an intro page of a B-52 doing rolls at an absurdly fast rate for an aircraft that size seems very appropriate, whether the ground is actually moving in the intro page or not, and I would therefore argue that attempting to introduce reason and rationality to it is somewhat silly.
Scott Whitman I agree entirely that the gameplay has its own internal anachronisms (many intentional) and features that can be criticized (though they don't seem to take away from the potential enjoyability of the game, for one who likes that sort of game). That has nothing to do with inaccuracies and poor reasoning basis of the comment to which I responded. Furthermore, the intro page which you also criticize is not, as I wrote originally, intending to show the aircraft in flight. The rolling of the aircraft is intended simply to display the aircraft from various angles. That particular criticism of yours is invalid. Do you look at aircraft on display in a museum and say, "That aircraft could never hover indoors like that. That's so absurd!"?
B52 pilot: hold on i'm going to do a barrel roll! B52 navigator: copy that........wait what!? B52 co-pilot: damn we lost both wings!!!! B52 pilot: well boys, looks like we just made ourselves the worlds largest torpedo! B52 navigator: .........fuck......
Yeah man, that's so ridiculous. 1B worth semi-modern strategic bomber flying on 100 meters droping bombs on WW2 ships. People who made this, did they go to school even?
Do you have any idea of how this thing fly? it's freaking enormous plane, you could fit like 10 Stukas in this one. Saying that it should control it's speed very closely, any sudden deviation from the course will tear the whole plane apart. You just cannot do any serious maneuvering on this plane in real life. It needs like 10miles to just turn a little. Of course it's a game, but this is just ridiculous how they implemented this plane in it.
When your nation on C&C is already developing jet powered bombers and stuff but your opponent is still stuck at propeller planes and wooden bridge aircraft carriers
how does a B-52 manage to reach 700 mph? oh, and this heavy carpet ship bombing just makes me laugh, especially the B-52 kamikaze at 2:51. thumbs up no doubt.
Pretty sure carpet bombing is not usually done below 50 meters... Strange to think the design process for the B-52 started 1 year after WWII and the first prototype flew only 6 years after that.
That B-52 was testing a prototype US Air Force flux capacitor, gained from one "Brown." It just happened to hit 88 miles per hour, at which time some serious shit happened that brought the aircraft back to the mid-1940s. When the American Pacific fleet got a hold of the jet designs, they managed to completely obliterate the Japanese and bring the Pacific war to an end in 1943, changing the course of human history.
Very cool plane!Does anybody have a mod, where you can choose the battleship "New York" in islands capture? This is very interesting class, but unfortunately there are not enough missions where you can choose it.
"You have destroyed the highlighted target" Nah fam, he erased it from existence. Their won't be a wreck to dive. Just some debris that histories will debate on whether or not it could have ever been a part of a ship
I was wondering why the b52 would be flying so low It drop bombs from 30-60 thousand feet. I know because I was with the $2nd MMS in U-Tapao Thailand 1971-1972
